Pei Xia transmigrated into a discontinued western fantasy novel and became the unlucky cannon fodder who had a pure body that was coveted by evil spirits and constantly suffered death threats.

The protagonist of the novel was Lucifer, the holy son from the Church of Light. He possessed a beautiful appearance and divine purification ability.

Therefore, Pei Xia decided to become a guard for his c*astity to avoid the fate of being possessed by an evil spirit.

I’m dropping this.

I’m sorry but this big misunderstanding that they’re having? It’s already almost the end and it’s still not solved. They just can’t talk about it and they both always have their own conclusions... and when finally ML want to clear things up, there will always be a sudden interruption!! Ahhh it makes me so mad that they always think so differently!! MC is gay and think ML is homophobic and ML just thinks MC will never like him and likes sweet girls or smth.

The premise, from what I saw in the summary was great! I really think this had great potential! It’s just that the last part (him talking openly abt it. Being shou and gong and stuff) still hasn’t shown up and I am getting really impatient and annoyed!

And additionally, MC is kinda cute (love it) but also sometimes so so s*upid... he’s protecting the ML but meanwhile also accidentally hurts him... like why? I’m already feeling uncomfortable reading about it... it’s not even sweet or smth... just really embarrassing, if I may say so ah...

And if I may add, I mostly like strong ML/gongs and cute/naive MC/shous (for example). Like, that’s cute. And if I understood correctly from the summary and from what I read so far, Lucifer is the ML and gong, who’s secretly strong but acts frail in front of MC. But like in ch 48 ish he was suddenly fed the fruit of life, and became pregnant????? Like what??? I mean, I mtled it, so maybe his stomach was just bulging, but even MC was thinking this way! So I skipped around a lot, because I just couldn’t bear reading about how he kinda got rid of it. At the end I have no idea what happened, but I guess it was solved.

Anyways, it’s really kind that the MC fed ML that fruit even though ML asked otherwise, but that’s also one of the mistakes that make me... want to distance myself from this one ah.... I guess this one really crossed my boundaries, regarding gongs ah... (can’t be/seem pregnant QAQ wtf is with his bulging stomach ah)

Oh, also I really, reaaaally can’t stand side cps, and there seem to be a few? Anyway the Prince Harry seem to have met the love of his life or smth

Well, these were the things that kind of put me off, but maybe other ppl don’t mind and even like it!

You know when you go on a really nice balanced quality diet, then you suddenly hit a point where you just have to grab a bag of unhealthy chips you can mindlessly munch on?

That bunch of junk food is this novel. I've been super picky recently of what I've been reading and encountered several really high quality, deep, thought provoking stories, but then hit a point where I couldn't go past one chapter despite the story being so well thought out and with amazing characters.

So I thought I'd take a... more>> break, and found this, and it came at the perfect time. It's one of those stories that are so dumb but also pretty fun if you're in the mindset for it. <<less

Well, this was a lot of fun to read! ꉂ (ˊᗜˋ*) It's more of a 4.5 for me but I'll round it up just because it's cute.

An innocent, single since birth shou goes to bed only to wake up in a cannon fodder's body?! What's this, a demon wants to take over this body too?! MC went barrelling to the protagonist and buckled himself to his side as his knight ꉂ (ˊᗜˋ*) There's a lot of amusing shenanigans going on and the dynamic between the cast is great!

MC is adorable... more>> and very determined to not get himself pulverised like the actual cannon fodder. ML is initially subtly the typical CEO quote, "You have successfully gotten my attention" but eventually falls super hard for MC. They both have their own secrets and oftentimes these secrets cause misunderstandings and the like. I could feel the unresolved s*xual tension radiating off ML from my screen whenever dense MC just doesn't get his vibes ꉂ (ˊᗜˋ*) He's seducing you, little baby Pei!

The great, giant Misunderstanding™ lasts for almost the entire novel, only clearing up at the very end (10 chapters-ish). I'm not sure if I like the way they did it but it's not too shabby.

I'm talking about ML's true identity! In case it's not already obvious, ML is Lucifer aka the protagonist.

  • ML is not the true Lucifer of the novel world, but a demon who has taken over his identity. His name is Lucifer though.
  • ML is not just any demon, he is the Demon King aka the God of Darkness
  • ML is the one who flipped the ON switch on the world which enabled it to run like an actual world... but inevitably accidentally drags MC into it as well
  • Lucifer's face is ML's true face.

The extras after the novel are pretty funny too ꉂ (ˊᗜˋ*) The modern shenanigans had me chuckling IRL

Would recommend if you don't mind the never resolving until the last minute misunderstanding/secrecy! It's really not that bad ꉂ (ˊᗜˋ*) <<less

This is your typical blackbelly gong (with a hidden identity) x silly shou that is a lil more manly than your typical feminine shou. If you've read these types of stories before, the general plot is predictable, and the ending is HE.

However, I didn't like how easily the misunderstanding was resolved. Like too many of these stories, the ML was easily forgiven and didn't seem truly regretful for his actions. The author tried to give MC some more scenes to vent his emotions and throw a tantrum, but that was... more>> it. The MC forgave the ML within like 2-3 chapters, which is really cringy and not satisfying at all since I was hoping for at least a minor redemption arc.

Overall, the MC felt really cheap and shallow at the end, meanwhile the ML felt scummy with no remorse. <<less

Dropping for now because I'm bored to death, may pick up later.

Also the translation picked up by KnoxT was a bit tooooo strong on the MTL for my tastes. The humor in the dialogued dropped drastically and all the "Good." responses (mistranslated) got on my nerves.

The writing is so bad, I'm in tears—

But it's hard to stop watching a white lotus ML try to seduce the oblivious MC who manages to destroy his plans with the most ridiculous mistakes possible. It's just hilarious.

It was fun to read at first but after a while, it becomes bland for me

Mostly MC being serious and resisting ML’s temptation (cause he thinks they are both shous)

And ML trying to seduce MC by playing the weak damsel troupe

It's been fun reading it and got me waiting for the releases, wanting more. I really liked how Pe Xia's image is that of a hardworking, workaholic, and devout knight albeit a not so bona-fide of a believer. Keep it coming please, I'll be waiting ;))

The writing and plot are so bad, I die a little more inside which each chapter. It's as though a child wrote it. The author also doesn't bother to maintain plot consistency. The only redeeming thing is the white lotus ML tryna get MC to crack. It was funny--but the MC's s*upidity gets kind of annoying 20 chapters in. Like, a running gag can only be funny when repeated so many times.

Some people seem to have loved this though, so, well different strokes for different folks.

I'm going to make it short.

It's pure Comedy! At some parts it feels like Parody, but it's not. It's definitely Comedy though.

It's Adventure Comedy novel. The romance is Slow but funny! ML tried so hard but our MC was both Dense and then in Denial. Him denying his feelings and ML'S was withing reason though. Nothing dramatic. The summary already spoiled the reason.☝️

Anyway, it's not a Dramatic novel. The only 'drama' it has was when ML finally revealed his Identity. But don't be afraid, everyone stays in characters aka MC's... more>> reactions was a Well written one. While ML is ML.

Overall the main story is Great and I'm Loving it!

But the extras.... Was the Most Epic Hilarious Winning in this novel. Lmao 🤣 no spoiler. Just GO READ IT ALREADY!!! Oh My ML... <<less

KindA odojnd so fae Preet good 🍚👍, confus whi bang who, so fae there seems to be a more focused view on relationship, rather than say action or fighting descriptions, the only instance of chapter 1, is when cutting the Ross, nevertheless from the words used by the author, I CNA suppose that fighting scenes will be in decline, for a bigger focus on relationships, the fighting that we get, will most likely be short and precise, and the stories focus will most likely be on romanticism between the... more>> figures shown on chap 1, tho, this could be wrong, as the holy son, could be a side character, and not the "ml" as suspected since he might not be the seme, and since the protagonist is also a bottom, we got no one to do push ups above the other, but this could be alivated with toys, nevermind that, but the evidence of this, is the lack of seme protagonist tag hence the MC can't be the seme, and as described in the description, the MC states "we are both bottoms", hence there maybe a indication of a plot twist. This might be unlikely tho, as the novels name includes the holy son, hence this might be an instance of "Josue seme".

Nevertheless I have enjoyed chapter 1, and I hope I Will be able to continue enjoying this, as more chapters get translated. <<less

I'm not rating it yet since im not done reading.

I almost lost interest in this because of the low rating comments but then when I finally have no choice but to read this, I obsolutely love it!

It was sweet and funny, I really love how much our ML is suffering due to the mc's denseness but overall it was still bearable, and I pretty much like it!

Over all, I will rate this a 5 star, but since there is still more chapters away and I wasn't even in the center... more>> of the story (from what I think), I won't rate it here yet but my over all rating is 5 star!

Please give it a try and don't listen to these reviews, you might also love it! <<less

4.3 omg.. The extra was hilarious.. Our MC although usually I find this type annoying but Idk.. I think it must be author's talent, I like it and I actually find our ML worrisome, bcs we know that he had different mentality with our MC, I almost think him crazy 🤣🤣🤣, this novel is giod for quick read, I would say that it's not serious and will give u fun experience

AHHHHH!!!

This one is really too cute! Although I do feel bad for our ML Lucifer who has to try and get it through the MC's very very thick skull that he's interested in the MC. I haven't gotten very far into this one but so far it has been wonderful.

5 stars, I personally think more people should read this one. :)

For the beginning of the chapter the plot is fun and enjoyable. I really like how the MC and ML get together. But somehow after they get together the story kinda lacking of detailed plot and feel rushed to ending the story

ML is a lord of abyss and was so powerful from an alternative universe. So basically, it's a matter of multiverse. Found the body of the holy son, he had fun over an incompletely made world. Then he met MC.

Instantly knew he was from a different world.

Turns out it was because ML sh*t on the multiverse and MC got pulled along because ML broke a hole on the multiverse, what not, atmosphere, idk.

Ah- sorry for my complain before (⁠´⁠ ⁠.⁠ ⁠.̫⁠ ⁠.⁠ ⁠`⁠), I edit my review now. I was too mad when I found out it's dropped, but turns out it's continued on another website (a lot of novels and comics I read were dropped/discontinued/on hiatus so I was extremely upset if this novel really dropped)

I wouldn't be so mad if this novel is bad (according to my taste and preferences). But it's so good (according to my taste and preferences) that I will start an arson if it's dropped/discontinued.

Very fun! It wasn't good by any means but it was fun and light and a nice s*upid story. The ending was so funny and cute. There were many left plots and s*upid choices and characters but it all worked out in the end. If you don't want a piece of fine art but a cute crayon drawing instead this is for you. Also is it like a cultural thing, why didn't the MC have any thoughts about his name being Lucifer?
