Bro this ML does not know to back up. There's something wrong with his head. I swear I cused him so many times in chinese while I was reading this

Alright now I feel bad for the ml, he liked MC so much and tried so hard to make MC happy and was so excited to do anything with MC. However, every single time he's met with cold ruthlessness. Although ngl he deserves it lol

Recommended to read!

The summary should be the MC fell in love with the ML but the ML was just playing with him from the beginning. When the MC got to know the truth in a heartbreaking way, he left the ML. Then the ML realized how much he loved the MC and chased after him till they got back together.

As a reader who loves reading break up scenes, I think what I came here for was satisfied. This novel was quite average. But still, it was a good one.

This one I liked the most, and so far I read Sissy, Beloved Enemy, and this novel. I wish I knew that some novels in 188 series we’re connected in ways like for example Sissy and Winner Takes All. While reading this Novel I was so glued to it, and I really did not want it to end, definitely gave me a teary eyes at the end from happiness. I do wish that s*x scenes were more in details, because I felt that they were lacking in that area. Overall... more>> great story, excellent structure, and beautiful ending. <<less

When I read the others reviews I was disappointed because I was really excited to read this novel but some reviews make me wonder if I should read it or not

I'm very happy that I read it because for me this novel is gem I love every part of it and the MC and ML both soooo lovable I didn't hate Jin Xin charactor even he have his mistake he still young after all the must important that he learned from his mistakes

And Li Shou on of the must lovable... more>> Mc

I really enjoyed this novel... I can definitely agree with other comments that ZJX is not amongst the worst MLs the author has written. And I definitely disagree that there is no character growth or that LS is not likable. As another mentioned, the angst in this one did hit me hard... This type of hurt and betrayal is indeed common and too real...

It is not LS ego that makes him reluctant, but rather his fear of getting hurt yet again. And the ML's behaviour and actions are indeed infuriating,... more>> however, on one hand, his background can partly justify some things and, on the other, in two occasions he exhibits that is willing to make sacrifices for the MC:

1. ZJC has grown up with a serious blood disorder and the sense that he may die at any time. This can indeed affect one's mentality towards life and others in different ways.

2. LS is not brainless. He is attracted by ZJC, but has been betrayed, hurt and humiliated 2 times and he does not want this to happen a third one. He strives again and again to stay away, although in reality he is not over him.

However during the bombing incident and the kidnapping, both life and death situations, ZJC shows that he is willing to sacrifice himself for the other. So how is it possible for LS not to give him another change?

With SQC is important not to take the tags lightly. For those who dislike such difficult themes, it is best to stay away. For me, this was a great novel that kept my undivided attention. <<less

The ML is way too immature and it's such a turn off. The plot doesn't captivate me and the novel is just not angsty enough for me. Can't say I'm a big fan of this novel. Super grateful for the translation tho.

Since I read so many review said that this one has less angst than other story, I lowered my defence and got stabbed so bad lol

I really shouldn't underestimated this writer, because IMO this one hit me the most. Because additional inheritance and Sissy's angst something that only happened in fantasy (didn't mean I didn't cry while reading them). But this one, was close to the reality and could happen to anyone.

This was a GREAT novel! The translation was excellent!! I can’t recommend this enough, the sensitive translation and the genius of the author... one of those books you re-read over and over again, the characters are so special and their relationship is perfection. I can’t say enough good things about this experience, thank you to the author for creating yet another whole world and thank you to the translator for your hard work and excellent skills!! 👍🏽😍😘

Well I don’t know why I kept reading till the 80 chapter even though I was irritated and disappointed by the flow of events and the MC actions and decisions he is so kind hearted always blaming himself and feeling guilty, I kept feeling like his relationship with the ML was forceful and oppressive so I skipped some chapters I just wanted to know what is the end is going to be like, this novel wasn’t my cup of tea but thanks for the translation effort.

Be ready for a dog blood novel but SQC novels are like that so you know what you're getting into. Trust us when we say this ML isn't the worst. He's pretty tame in comparison but sometimes he's so childish he gets on my nerves. Hahaha. Really like the MC tho. He's so kind and pragmatic in a way.

This is not my fav SQC novel I must say but I still enjoyed it.

Translation is slightly choppy but still really readable and I really liked reading the notes he (?) Left... more>> behind. <<less

I've read this story before, but it was a long time ago. It wasn't until much later that I realized this story is connected to 'Sissy'. I don't remember much, but I do remember that this story was more pleasant to read compared to 'Sissy'. I think it's because the issues in this story weren't dragged on with a monotonous plot. The conflicts were more varied. I remember giving a very bad review to 'Sissy', but with this one, I was probably more interested in the ML and MC, who... more>> were far from being overly melodramatic. The MC wasn't portrayed as weak or easily broken — instead, he was shown as manly and strong. Even though he was easily tempted by the ML, he still had the determination to stay true to his heart for his lover. This story also added to my dislike for Chengxiu, because of how he ignored the MC's sincerity. I don't remember the flaws of this story, but I do remember enjoying it more than the previous one I read. I'd say this story is fairly recommendable.

Oh, I was really curious why I was more drawn to this story than the previous series, so I decided to reread it. It turns out one of the reasons is, as I mentioned before, the MC in this story isn't like the one in the 'Sissy' series, who was portrayed as weak and feminine. In this story, the MC is depicted as someone strong both in personality and physically — a typical top, since he never takes the bottom role.

Additionally, this story is written in a more realistic way and gives the impression that the author is more mature than when they wrote the 'Sissy' series. The writing and plot feel more polished and structured. The decisions made by the characters are also wiser and not childish. The story feels more mature and much more enjoyable to read.

Oh, and one more thing — the ML character really brings color to this story. The characters in this story truly go through development, especially the MC. The ML has a puppy-like-bf personality with all his sweet talk, and his ever-changing moods make him come off as both adorable and sexy, which really stands out and adds to the entertainment. He's not the typical cold ML who stays the same from beginning to end. The MC also experiences significant character growth, changing from being cold and anxious to warm. This transformation is really enjoyable to read because it keeps the story from feeling monotonous. <<less
