Really decent if it wasn’t a harem. I dislike reading CN harems... still the female characters are not completely 2D... but still a harem. I really tried locking down on my “anti-harem” dislike and push through, as the novel itself is pretty good, two different world building, plenty of fun characters and well developed ones at that... but just imagining all sorts of ways that whole “harem” is going to act out in the next something chapters just makes me want to cringe. Every time MC only survives because luck which is pretty annoying and there are too many last minute saves pretty much every time which is both annoying and boring and MC doesn't even get a chance to take break or breathe one problem after another and sometimes villains die just like that which is again boring

This is basically the first time I've ever written a review on this site and I've been reading novels here for close to 4 years now. All I can say is that this is definitely one of the best novels of the apocalypse genre and one of the Must Read novels in this site period.

• • All characters are interesting, and they're developed one way or another. Even the girls are developed well, and are not actually here as trophies, but really shine in the story.

• • The world isn't actual Earth but a parallel similar one set in the future with fictional countries, so we avoid any mandatory "China number one" ridiculous nationalism.

• • MC is interesting, good natured, and an actual admirable person, not the usual xianxia crap edgy """"hero"""".

• • The story is captivating.
  • Some of the comedy is fun, with witty characters making it more alive, a rarity in xianxia.

Con

• • We can't avoid some young masters in the story, but there are less of them than other xianxia.

• • Some stuff like info dumps are obviously added to artificially inflate the word count.

Interesting world concept, but very BADLY written with WAY TOO MANY plot holes. The author really needs to improve both his writing quality and content logic. I think this may be the first or second novel he writes.

So many weak plots and supporting reasons Such as writing new content that conflicts with previous content. All characters do something with very weak reasoning (and mostly illogical reasoning), etc.

Really overrated by readers who just read for face slapping, women, or overpowering without caring about plot, logic, or content integrity.

The story is better than expected. There are some situations that I thought, here we go again with the arrogant young masters. However, when they are dead their elders are not that s*upid like the ones in some novels.

The side characters as of now are given good background story. They are all growing emotionally and their views in life.

I enjoyed reading this one, and im interested in whats coming next, since TL says its gonna be better. Had no problem with getting bored and dropping novel (which happens often for me), so I can easily recommend it.

Edit: around chapter 300+ when *spoiler* MC goes to hell it started getting meh, and boring, so I lowered my rating of this one.

The beginning is extremely enjoyable but becomes a little bit repetitive after a while. I'm presonally not a fan of how fast the author changes the setting, travelling from one world to another but if that's what you're into then it's really good.

This novel has a lot of potential, but the plot is all over the place.

It's quite difficult to follow the thought process of the MC and what are his actual goals as MC moves from one place to the other too fast. One chapter, he is leaving his home world, crossing billions of others through many space layer, the next one he is on a ship chatting with a human size chicken and a talking automatic rifle...

You have to wait chapters 800-900 to start to really understand the plot, and... more>> why things happened the way they did. It's a bit frustrating because through this process, MCs goals changed a lot, and many secondary characters were forgotten. And as soon as you reach this stage, MC is thrown in a new plot and new questions arise...

All the time you feel that each Arc of the novel is unfinished. Answers are being cleared when suddently, a new arc starts and many more questions appear. All Arcs are still interesting, and each are well written, but at the speed boss/new plot pop up, MC's cultivation progress kind of loses its meaning, as MC wins over powerfull enemies with schemes and tricks. <<less

The novel is a bit disturbing in that part (chapter title), (chapter title) is not clear, what does it represent? For example, what is (title:joining) represented. I want to jump just how many chapters I can't find a good one to read (I mean chapter title).

Great novel, great premise and word building, many interesting characters, good power build up and confusing but at least understandable power system.

Pros

pretty long novel, good weak to strong MC, almost all typical and cliches cultivation novel types inside this novel but well interpreted and with connection with modern era.

Cons

A bit beta MC, badass strong and direct MC but suffering from a 2 dimensional character build up.

Some side characters doesn't make any sense, main female lead (Su Xu er) is not likeable at all, Author is forcing the readers to like the female lead but imo, not really good at all, so uikeable, like the Sakura of Naruto, just a part of story with no significant at all, or the significant forced by the author is so cringed, other female leads are far better in the MC harem.

Another con is, the cycle of back story inside a back story inside a backstory and so on. Sometimes the plot doesn't have a direct story telling but like a branch sprouting 3 branch and this 3 branch sprouting another 3 branch each and so on. The story got mangled so much you forget what is the MCs goal at the end. <<less

I'm going to say first that this novel was a sh*t show and I woulda dropped this like within the first 10 ch if not for reading the reviews. the people who said that it gets better and all that yeah no... even if it does like much later on it really doesn't make up for the insane sh*t fest that it is this early on.

so this novel is literally everything yeap, you heard it. the author basically wanted to cram as much ideas he wanted into this, game setting,... more>> apocalyptic, cultivation, futuristic, reincarnation 2nd chance. literally every single one of those could be the theme for a novel and the best thing is these themes are almost always done poorly. this was basically a recipe for disaster what the f*ck was the author thinking he could put them all together when he can't even manage one of these on top of that they don't even mesh well atleast not in this novel.

for example why the hell is the apocalypses in the form of a game.... but then it transfers to reality like why.. just make the f*cking apocalypse in the real world. next the game system leveling this was just a f*cking sad excuse for not wanting to deal with the whole cultivating part why did the author even bother putting cultivation in like just pick 1. like l00l when I was reading this it was like reading the worst parts of several different novels shoved together. it has the f*cking ret*rded game mechanics from reincarnation of the strongest sword god, its got the dumbass dimension shifting with faulty reasoning from life mission, and it has the harem and young masters which induce ptsd from chinese xianxia novels. gotta love it this is me cooking slapping everything I got in the fridge into the pan.

tldr don't read this like if you enjoy a certain part of this say for example the game leveling part then just go read a novel with game leveling like it would be so much better than this garbage. <<less
