As if it wasn’t enough for me to be reincarnated as a child in the slums, I was taken to a city of crime and became a test subject.

But then, when I saw the man that came to destroy the research institute, I realized that this was the world of an angst-filled reverse harem novel.

While living a relatively normal life after escaping from the institute, the heroine of the novel moved in next door.

From the looks of it, I might be the heroine’s neighbor extra.

Originally, the heroine was to save the unconscious and fatally wounded villain and in return, be subject to a fanatical obsession.

But, why. Why is the sub-villain collapsed in front of my house?

The sub-villain, Lakis Avalon, was the king of the underworld and the very same frightening man that I had met at the institute before.

One of the biggest mystery in this story is somewhat been answered. It's not confirmed but IT MAKES A LOT OF SENSE!!! THE TWIST WOW!!

Okay, english is not my original language but I needed to comment on this novel. If I call this a "art" I feel like I'm not being fair. I like the development, I like the relationship btw Lakis and Yuri, I like the comedy in the right measure, I like the friendship, I like the suspense and mystery. Honestly, I like everything about this novel. I totally recommend it to anyone who is interested in reading a novel bc this is very good.

And I haven't even talked about the translation... more>> yet, which made it possible for me to read this work so fluently. Thank you!!

SO FAR IM LOVING THIS!!!!

I love the FL's calm and collected temperament and the gradual pacing of FL and ML falling in love. It's super sweet and got me hooked!

After reading stories with idotic protagonists who have hero complexes or are too hung up on their past lives, this story is refreshing. This is a slow paced story about two emotionally stunted people whose love begins to blossom. The "original plot" doesn't mean much to the FL because she's just trying to get through her personal problems. And the main two characters aren't as textbook as I thought they would be.

The slow pace of this and the fact that it focuses on the FL and ML's relationship makes this... more>> feel like a slice of life novel. I don't recommend it for anyone who can't handle mundane life drama. Despite the actual setting it's not action filled at all. But I prefer it this way. It makes their connection feel more real. <<less

I really enjoyed the development of the relationship between MC and ml. The plot had an excellent backstory, all while incorporating a new type of power, fragments, and transmigration into a book. The MC is a bit of a mary sue, but I still enjoyed it because she wasn't always using her power, and most of the story is just the challenges that come with her power and her relationship with the ml. I fell for all of the other side characters, but wish they had more development as the... more>> author tends to focus more on the MC and ML relationship development. The translation by knee slapping tl was poor, however it was soon picked up by rubymaybe and was more understandable. I recommend reading the beginning chapters of rubymaybe's translation if you haven't already and started reading on the other translator. I enjoyed how ML had totally different attitudes to the original heroine and the current MC. It was nice to see his differing affection, and rather then a toxic ML he was in the original book he was more pleasant in mc's story. <<less

I complex story, I must say.

I remember I couldn't grasp what's going on in the early chapter because sci-fi is not my thing. I was here because of romance, lol. But after reading more, my understanding getting better eventho there're things I left behind because... I didn't get it.

There're a lot of names, but every characters has strong traits so It's not really that hard to guess who's who.

I had trouble with how the author narrated the story, but I'm used to it so it's fine. I must say, the... more>> way the author elaborated MC and ML skin ship or their feeling is so good (how can just holding hand can be written so... hawwwtt) . The action scene is also well written.

I came because the romance tag, at first, but now I also enjoying the mystery. If you like romance and mystery, give it a try. I consider this as josei because of the setting and how the relationship's built. I have no idea why it's tagged as shoujo. ╮ (￣ω￣;) ╭ <<less

Sooooo hello. This is really really my first time to write a review for book. English isn't my first language, please bear with it. And here we go :

  • The main idea is common. The MC transmigrated into a reverse harem novel which is The Most Powerful Characters in the World are Obsessed with Me, I Don't Want to be an Ojagkyo, The Goal is to Become a Gold Spoon so I Need to be Completely Invulnerable, etc have same main idea. Especially when our MC transmigrated into another dimension is a popular main idea for Korean novel and manhwa recently.
  • I like our MC. She is a capable woman who could live alone and manage her life after went from laboratory which is I doubt I can lmao. She is a strong woman too and that is the main reason why I read this novel. So far, I like how she interacted with another character. Bro, she is a logical person I've ever seen. I adore how she think. And she is smart too, ugh. I'm jealous. Although she is almost an OP character.
  • This isn't a serious novel although the nuance is like a serious novel. How the story progressing isn't too complicated despite the story has some mysteries that will be revealed soon. But it's okay, you don't have to think too much. Because like I mention above, this isn't a serious novel.
  • I admired your translation, Miss Rubby. Your translation is good and it still worth it to read. I have some favorites translator and you are either. Thank you for picked this up (๑°꒵°๑) ･*♡

Overall I'm very happy with it, there is a slight cliff for every updates that I'm dying to know everytimes.

So! If you love reincanation, love cool and strong independent female lead, and a tempting wolf in a sheep clothing op male lead, Welcome!! You came to the right place, but it is a sweet slowburn so it may bore you somewhat if u r looking for a thrilling romance, just takes it as a sweet cup of tea, no biggies.

The protagonist is depicted as a calm, composed, cold, and indifferent... more>> person due to the side effect of the human experiment she experiences in her youth causes her to lose her emotions. As well as being a homeless orphan she has to struggle to live even before and after she regains her memory or get her freedom after the ML blasted the experimental sites which unintentionally became her benefactor.

    • The protagonist, Yuri, said emotionless person sometimes unintentionally help and protect others of her free will. &Gt;> Probably explained these impulses away as deep inside she is genuinely a good person. Just that without emotions or morality clouding over her judgements, she wouldn't usually makes decisions that would causes her troubles.
    • After meeting the novel's main character, Anne-marie, she started to hold good will towards her either the reasons being she resemble her past live's pet dog or that she feel a sense of familiarity to her as a character who's truly good-natured but miserable in the future in this inexplicable novel world she knew of. So somehow or the other, slightly able to stimulate her emotion. Call it small animal (who makes her a bit sentimental) protection.
    • That said emotion fluctuation also applies to the male leads no. 1, 2, 3 as well, such as good first impression, a bit of good will as a fan, interest as real live characters, expectation and dissapointment towards reality; and gradually if nothing important happen, it'll also turn into disinterest. That's it, fundamentally she is indifferent and disinterested in other living beings. Except for the person she recognizes that is.
      (I'm feeling like making good excus--i mean explaination on behalf of the author lmao)
    • Next, The all mighty, "When our hands touches, emotions came rushing at us", which causes the two protagonists to have some sort of progress in their relationship. So they each holds special feeling and position of the other in their hearts, and enables them to allow intimacy even with not much understanding other than that sense of satisfaction and hot emotion from connecting, hehe.
    • Their interaction will make your heart feel like cat scratching on it while baiting your breath overlooking their development.
      Their romance stems from attraction. Long-windded but this is still unexplained, even the male protag's parasite doesn't know so meh, ---pending.

Really worth reading and it is very interesting. The story is refreshing, because it's not like your typical isekai or reincarnation story, it's not necessarily takes place in a palace, and there's some fantasy mixed in it. Very good.

Pritty well written. The MC is refreshingly honesty. I get the impression that she is underestimating her impact other people a lot though, so when it comes to EQ she's dense.

The world building is interesting. Although it isn't overly complicated there is more to it than meets the eye and whatever glaring plot holes were left in this stories said novel seem to have an underlying reason which the white lotus protagonist never found out about.

There's some weird plot device going between the Villainous ML and MC chemistry. You'll know... more>> when you see it. Not sure where the author is planing on going with it. And I'm reserving djudgment on it for now.

The other MLs all seem to be attracted to MC as well. They all have their underlying reasons but it doesn't really have all that much to do with the MC's charming (sarcasm) personality. It makes me wonder what happened to the MC's body in the original novel.

Aside from that there are some pretty nice friendships in the story. Although, the friendship between the MC's and her fellow escaped experiments is a little... odd. In the sense that (minor)

The reigning quality of independence and indifference towards other typical to all experiments doesn't seem to apply towards the MC.

Again I'm reserving judgement on this. It feels like there might be an underlying reason, but if there isn't. Well, a star will fall off from my review.

In Conclusion. Sofar it's been a very satisfactory read, and the story shows a lot of promise, but there are a lot of obviously strange elements with the MC's relationship to the people around her which the story seems to be hinting at. I'm hoping there will be an answer to them other than "MC stole the protagonist's protagonist halo." <<less

Like, "The ML that FL sees as good person it didn't mean he good for me too" (i don't remember the exact words). I mean, how many MC out there thinking like that?

Also, many skinship between MC & ML which I like to read lol (bad me ><).

MC has a rational and objective when interacting with the other character. I don't what will happen since the translation not yet end. Thanks for the translation team tho, they can convey the story well <<less

Completed Lucia and came to check out on this other novel that the translator is translating, and so far up to chapter 24, I will say that I quite like it, tho not as much as I did when reading Lucia.

ML and FL interactions are really adorable, which is the main selling point for me.

And another good thing is that the plot is interesting. I mean who likes to rush through the chapters just to see the characters interactions right? The plot has to at least be a bit interesting... more>> for me to enjoy reading it, and this novel has done it.

Adorable interactions and good plot, just give this novel a try and you might like it too. 5/5 for me for now, will post a new review once more chapters are out. :P <<less

I really love this novel. Not only are the characters cute but their romantic moments are lovely too. And the MC seems like a strong female, which is not common in novels (mangas mostly). Thank you for continuing with the translation Miss Ruby.?

I absolutely love the character settings that was created. Although our MC has the memories of her past life that was very warm, everything she experienced in this current life was basically what shaped her personality. I absolutely love that her past life did influence her, but not to the point in which it was unrealistic like in other novels (i.e. the personality of MC completely changes into the past life). Don't get me wrong, those types of LNs are enjoyable in and of themselves, but the trauma that you... more>> personally experience isn't something that could so easily go away with the memories of your past life, but it did soften our MC a bit which you can see through her interactions with the female protagonist Anne-Marie. Which is what makes this story unique and special.

What makes me anticipate for the next chapter is currently the development between our MC and ML.

I don't particularly see a tag for this, but I do see a potential for this story to become a reverse harem. Not in so much that our MC is directly stealing the men from the female protagonist (though there is a possibility of that happening as well with at least one other person so far....), but more so that due to her own circumstances, she has her own pursuers. <<less

I'm not sure if I remember everything correctly but it has an interesting plot and the MC has a deep back story despite being a side character. Also the main lead seems to also have some sort of another person in his head. I wonder if these things also happened to the real story?

OMG! The novel is really good, actually I really love it when the female lead is emotionless but savage then she will change herself through journey.

But I think the translator already stop translating this novel and I'm so sad because of it. ?? So I think I will translate it for myself but it will takes so much time and I feel dizzy about it already.

It started off great. And throughout the translation has been near perfect.

But the romance between the FL and the ML seems to stagnate about halfway through the story and nothing really happens.

The plot was on its way towards being something interesting, but I think the author was in such a rush to resolve it (like dropping major discoveries without answers in the last three chapters) that it suffers from major plot holes and leaves the reader feeling unsatisfied.

What happens to Genos? Who is Tatiana? Why does no one question how... more>> Yuri escaped? What kind of government is over the east, west, south, and north? Why does Yuri look like Selena? Why does Lakis look like Milliam? What’s that parasite thing? So many questions with no answers... <<less
