As if it wasn’t enough for me to be reincarnated as a child in the slums, I was taken to a city of crime and became a test subject.

But then, when I saw the man that came to destroy the research institute, I realized that this was the world of an angst-filled reverse harem novel.

While living a relatively normal life after escaping from the institute, the heroine of the novel moved in next door.

From the looks of it, I might be the heroine’s neighbor extra.

Originally, the heroine was to save the unconscious and fatally wounded villain and in return, be subject to a fanatical obsession.

But, why. Why is the sub-villain collapsed in front of my house?

The sub-villain, Lakis Avalon, was the king of the underworld and the very same frightening man that I had met at the institute before.

I like it a lot actually. I guess it gave off a different vibe from other Villain/ess stories because the action and thriller element here is quiet evident. I think there's a clear division (at this point I don't even know the right term to use) to romance and the action part. The scene without the ML is clearly focused on their own stuff unlike the trend around other Villain/ess stories where everything seemed to revolve around romance and throne sh*t alone.

I also enjoyed the coffeehouse work and it's entertaining... more>> for me whenever she's interacting with other characters which, for me, has their own distinct personalities. They have their own screentime, their own paths, their own circumstances, and they were written on a level that is at least decent.

Her relationship with ML is always full of s*xual tension and fluff!!!

Not gonna lie, the ending and the side stories weren't enough for me!!! Their relationship kind of went with the flow and there wasn't really a clear scenario where they both confirmed their relationship although they both already act as lovers, anyway. I was even expecting a common ending but ugggh whatever, it was also okay. <<less

It takes a while to build up and I personally would've tagged this 'drama' and 'psychological' instead of 'slice of life' and 'comedy'. Families trying to tear eachother down, evil plots bubbling under the surface, and betrayal injected where it can hurt the most make this a great read.

I really liked this novel, plot was good mainly at the ending. I liked both MC and ML and the side characters were also funny! This is the 1st novel I've read where the original FL is a good person, sometimes I was irritated with her overly polite behavior but she was okay.

. MC and ML are adorable in their own ways. Their interaction is so cute and just lovely for me. The plot is really good, not boring as others said and I can't help read more. The characters are flat but it didn't really bother me. They're good the way they are. I love the flow of writing. For me it's really good. Plus the way the relationships were built are nice. Love FL and MC. It's really good. It's a good read! I recommend this! <<less

  1. I reeeaaallyyyy like this. It suits my taste so much that I'd wait for a whole month to read 10-15 chapters just so I could avoid cliffhangers or those 'ah... Too short. I need more' moments. Although the author likes to add those long subparts of the novel which kinda makes it annoying at times. No wait. It really is annoying since some are so irrelevant. Makes me think 'Ahhh I want Lakis and Yuri scenes, Not those!!!'
Lakis and Yuri's interactions are so cute and fluffy!!! My heart flutters every... more>> time it's their part of the scene and I just can't~~ it's too cute for me and I absolutely love it! Lakis' gap moe is especially the cutest part where he does his best infront of Yuri and he goes around doing things for her that he normally wouldn't do for anyone. Like, he literally did it for Yuri ONLY (Aside from himself, ofcourse) and the fact that whenever he's away from Yuri, the part where he went to the East, where all he thought about was Yuri here and Yuri there... IT WAS SO CUTE OF HIM!!!

And then there's Yuri. She's so cold! I love it! Totally my type of MC. She's sooo nice but she doesn't show it often. But she's really caring and thoughtful though. She's so cute infront of Lakis!!! Whenever she asks for the things that she wants (holding hands, sleeping together, skinship kyaaaaa) She's so straightforward and asks for those directly since she really wants it. And whenever she feels different whenever they share skinship, like different different! Her emotions come back to life and she gets to remember all the pleasant emotions just by touching Lakis. Though I must admit. This has got sooo much potential of being smut!!! I mean, why didn't they do it. They should do IT. It's just sad cause they don't and all they've done so far is holding hands, kissing and sucking of neck (which was sooooo erot*c btw) ahhhhh I wish author would give us a hot steamy scene where they would finally do IT. I also hope it's portrayed erotically. Basically just wanting them to do IT ALREADY <<less

4 stars for now, bc im still reading. so far, I like the humor and the way the story is heading.

ML seems cool I guess but tbh I feel like theres a lot more chemistry between MC and anne-marie... I think they would make a very sweet couple. as it is, their friendship is very nice to see, especially because in many transmigration novels, the previous FL is often the mc's enemy for seemingly no reason.

I love the story, love the character but honestly there is too much going on everywhere. It is still 5 star even though, since it is still captivating and interesting.

getting a bit annoyed at the Crawford family.

Reasons:

The FL is keep it a secret from ML (that she took the job)

The grandfather is heartbreaken but it just feels wrong that he is trying to get FL to replace that sadness because she resembles his dead youngest daughter... yes it would be heartless to say but I really think his actions are little disturbing for me. (I know he not replacing as in calling her Selena but still...)

And Clawford's father is a bit off, like right now in my head I am getting the feel that the grandfather has no control and the whole family is dominated by him. At one point, I felt like he could have even killed Selena but then again don't think he did actually. It probably his attitude toward the dogs was...

Lastly the son, I just a little ticked off about him calling FL heretic and other test subjects that as well. Typical characters that always f*cking have to think people who are different to them as one group and label them as bad. Like in this situation where the FL and others were test subject and was used for experiment under human corruption but was labeled as a heretic which he had to attack because he thinks they are evil. Hate that shit. But feel bad for his dogs and sad how he had to lose them. Overall not a bad person but just ticks me off...

Like please if this process get any further I'm going explode because of anger.

I think this is my absolute favorite so far. I love how badass the MC is :D The interactions between her and Lakis are too cute to handle. Thanks to Lakis I know now that I like a little bit yandere. ;)

So, my main issue that prevents me from rating this higher is that the author doesn't know how to discreetly write in stuff for plot convenience. For example, in order to get the male lead Lakis and the apathetic Yuri/Arachne together, he made Lakis' hands return her emotions to her. Said emotions were lost when she gained her abilities from being experimented on. I can forgive using Hestia as a plot device, since she was already one even before Yuri showed up in the world, as the original MC before was her older sister.

I kinda like the fluffy scenes of Laki's and the MC but it's a bit slow paced for me and majority of the characters were bit gloomy. I hope there's atleast a loud and funny character to balance out.

I will rate it 5 because of the translation!

I have complicated feelings about this novel. Whilst at one side I really enjoy reading this romance novel as a fresh breather from other romance novel. I definitely felt like it could've been a lot better.

Up to chapter 83, the direction where the romance is headed have been quite obvious. I feel like it would be much better if us as the reader doesn't know who amongst the possible male-lead will the FL end up with. This is possible by removing the thing that makes Yuri reacts to Lakis differently.... more>> I'm referring to it as 'the thing' as the latest chapter as of yet hasn't revealed what it is.

And another thing that I think could make this novel a lot better would be the balance of power between the possible male-leads. For f*ck's sake, reading this made me feel like the author is wasting a lot of potential. But still, 4.5 star from me.

To other readers who couldn't bear reading the bad translation, brute-read your way through till the second translation team takes over. It's much better. <<less

This gem have so many genre mixed into one until you can’t even classify this into one genre. There are strong female and male lead, really strong. They have super power, btw. And both of them cruel enough to kill without hesitate, but only when necessary. Other characters also strong, and funny. I can imagine the comedic act in my mind clearly, that proved the strong style of author’s writing and the capability of the translator.

There are romance, and slow passion. They’re so cute together. And actually they been honest... more>> with their act, yes there are no sweet words between them, but their act is shown. Both of the character also smart, not much misunderstanding between them.

Finally, there also mystery need to be solved, so yeah. So many genre and layered story, that’s why the fantasy romance fans maybe didn’t find this suitable for their taste. But I urge you not to give up, and let’s enjoy this story together. <<less

You guyssss this novel is so worth readingggg I am telling ya! I almost dropped it because it was a bit complicated and hard to understand at first (got confused with the name and stuff) but mann I am telling ya you will regret it if you don’t read it (that is just how it is). It got some heart skipping scenes and you never know what is gonna happen so there is some mysterious vibe too?

SO recommending this!!!

All I can say is.. I want more of the translation ?

Though the beginning of the novel is kinda difficult to understand because its keeps repeating scenes and jumping to random scenes.. But when I search from the main source (kakao app in Korea).. You will know why it became like that. Since the introduction is made in manhwa stype or webtoon, as it was known now..

Anyway, after 10 to 15 chapters or so.. The translation became more understandable. I, myself, almost dropped this novel ? But since I'm curious... more>> about the plot and it became good towards the later chapter later on.. I keep on reading it until I catch up to the latest chapter.

I hope the translation of this will be more.. Like 4x a week? ? Because its get better towards the end..

I am excited what will be the Charas future will be.. Specially to the main LT.. Yuri and Lakis ???

novel is whatever but the grammar turns me off.

even the translator is aware that the point of view often switches from first to third person without any warning, which makes it a confusing read.

she also uses machine translation but this can't really be blamed on her since she doesn't know korean. Novel would've been better with a better translator who knows the language.

would rate it 2 stars but I accidentally clicked 3 and idk how to change it.
