The author was really good in making the plot interesting with details being well-connected to twist. The translators also did well in translation.

What I liked the most was the relationship of the main leads who I considered as power couple who became inseparable. Their relationship was well-developed and the support/trust/love for each other was strong. Many interesting characters and I also liked the depth of some supporting characters most of them were "gray" (not saint or evil). Some "villains" might be jerks but can be heroic in their own ways.

ML's character got depth and had an anti-hero persona. At first, I thought he's straight-up crazy and "potential" toxic yandere... but he proved me wrong, he actually a decent person (still crazy) and his every move got reasons. He is actually the Mary Sue in this novel (lol) but I find him still very humane bc he still got emotions even got conscience esp to innocence that he unalived to achieve his plans. His violence and thirst for revenge may be severe but he is actually heroic in his own way. He was not 100% good person, but he got bottom line and principles.

She's a popular actress before transmigration and used her skill on acting her way out. She's calm-minded, mature and sensitive to emotions of other characters so she knew what to do. She's also considered as the sheath of the ML who calm him especially during his unstableness and decisions.

-Many might disliked this kind of novel bc some violent scenes were graphical and too many canon fodders being sacrificed for the plot.

- The halo of leads were strong, I felt that they easily solved their circumstances. ML was tooo OP (lol) I was even bored in last parts bc the leads were already powerful and no thrill.

- The ending felt rushed and it made me feel empty due to extra chapters... should have added chapters of main story (future of Cloud realm in ML's reign) instead of parallel timeline plot.

Overall/Personal Enjoyment: 4.25/5

This was a really engaging and fun novel, I’m glad I read it haha. I smiled so many times reading it XD I say, this is one of the most thorough and coherent web novels I have read, despite the super long novel name lol. The plot was pretty tight and also pretty deep. The characters are all fun, vivid and real. And the romance, a very big part of the novel, is actually good? I mean, the relationship has growth, feels, chemistry, banter and is also... more>> hilarious and fun. Not only that, romance isn't the end all be all of the story, it is also a revenge/investigate conspiracies/save the world/cultivation novel. This is the main structure of the novel and the romance grows along with doing all these things. Very organic and surprisingly, a smooth ride with no hiccups for me.

Writing/Translation: 4/5

The translation I read is from Pinnochies’ Little Translation Corner. The translation at the beginning, especially the first 10 ish chapters, was quite off. Not many errors but all the sentence structure still had the Chinese structure and only the words were translated to English. There was a lot of "Your Prince, I... " like the order of the sentence is weird and doesn't follow conventional English writing lol. There are also a few inconsistencies in the names of the various levels of the hierarchy of the different armies because the translator forgot which words they used before but it doesn't affect anything. It got so much better as time went by which is why I rated 4.

Pacing: 4.25/5

In the beginning, like the first 30+ chapters, the MC was just going with the flow because she was powerless at the time. So it felt a little bit aimless because we didn't have a clear and determined goal from the MC except to just survive haha. However, once MC and ML begin to like each other, things become increasingly exciting as they begin to investigate things. Overall, no issue. The last chapter ending felt a bit abrupt to some readers but I didn't really feel it because I already thought everything had been settled.

Plot: 4.5/5

Very good, it was so intriguing and made me very interested in finding out all the little conspiracies and secrets. I also like the mystery of the Underworld demons. Something was always happening all the time so I never got bored. I never even had the slightest thought of dropping the novel, which is super rare! Also, although the number of chapters is not that large at 109 chapters, it certainly felt long. It took me 4 days to finish the story when I could normally finish 100+ chapters in 2.5 days.

Romance: 4.25/5

The romance is quite good! I liked almost everything about it. It was kind of an enemies/strangers to lovers situation where they definitely aren't friends and the MC was the most in danger at the start. It was so fun to see how the MC made snap decisions to manipulate the situation so the ML won't straight up kill her haha. Normally all these manipulations within the main couple of a story would be icky for me but the underlying humour in the writing just made it hilarious and fun to read haha. We start to learn more about the ML and the world and the ML also gets curious about this weird woman and they both really start to like each other. I really like that there is so much effort put into the romance haha. It also helps tremendously that both of these people are proper characters that have their own strengths and personalities that don't revolve around the love interest haha. Even their first time is hilarious lololol. My only quibble is that the story kept writing the girl in the relationship as having her legs go soft, was done until soft, the male accidentally overdid it, and so on, as in most CN novels. Well, it's not too bad lol because the ML really isn't that kind of overbearing annoying CEO male lead, and the MC honestly finds the ML hot haha. There is no shy, innocent maiden that loses her IQ in front of the male lead here.

Setting/Worldbuilding: 4.5/5

For a CN novel, yes, the worldbuilding and the setting are pretty good! So much mystery, haha. I really felt the awe, the scary middle of the night sounds, type of feeling, the hot-blooded action battlefield, etc. Of course, it's not perfect, but it's one of the better web novels out there.

Characters: 4.5/5

The main characters are so fun, haha. They are also super capable! I love all their discussions on their findings, their plotting, their humour, the banter, and the cool factor haha. Also, there were cute characters too, like their cloudbeast and the adorable puppet!

I really loved the whole book. It was interesting and fun. The build up was good and when they got together was awesome too.

Unlike other transmigration novels, where the MC replaces the OFl, here it's kind of different and it's freaking fun to read it that way.

The villian/ML and the MC are way too intelligent like they have an awesome IQ with the way they plot and deduce things. MC and her flowers are one more thing I love and lol the way he villian/ML has his own horrific names... more>> for them. 😂 Do give it a read I'm sure you'll like it. I specially loved the extras they were so good and like a parallel universe or more like going back once again but in a totally different setting. <<less

TL;DR : Fun main pair, quite long. Suffers from the not great translation quality.

The male and female lead are interesting and their interactions are fun. The female lead starts in a very difficult situation. She hangs on the male lead to help her out, but still tries to be independent. The male lead starts mentally unstable due to a truly horrendous childhood and difficult circumstances from then to this day. The FL helps him out and later they fall in love and depend on each other. This part is the... more>> best part of the story.

There is actually a plot here besides the romance and there aren't any glaring plot holes, but the plot is not very well written and isn't particularly interesting. It just gets weird. The last 20% of the plot is almost entirely about the plot mysteries being solved and it has very little about the relationship between the characters and is hence somewhat hard to get through. Feels like the author decided she doesn't have the patience to pace everything carefully and rushes through, and even so this story is quite long.

Translation is okay, but not great. The more difficult parts are sometimes incomprehensible. For example, there were a few paragraphs of face slapping from the FL to original story female lead, and the whole speech felt mostly senseless. <<less

the story is amazing. Our author actually fill all the potholes, and I love all the side characters. Even the bad characters have their own depth (both good and bad point). Also I love the MC and ML relationship, like only MC is for ML and only ML is for MC. If it changes to someone else, people would scream toxic relationship. My favorite is daun Ming and the puppet. They're just too cute.

I am writing this review because of one commenter in the translation. Like you hate... more>> this story and characters so much yet, keep on reading and comment about what you hate everytime.

How you keep on saying the MC have Stockholm syndrome, And refusing everyone's else explanation because they don't have the " professional training on that subject " while you just extract the definition from google.

I mean if you hate it that much, just drop it and leave. Don't need to waste your time reading and commenting.

For the story, I like how it progressed and the plot is great. Also our ML is the devil, thoroughly a villain. Not the typical misunderstood villain. But he does have a really bad past. If I were to experience that, trust me I will be blackened just like he did.

I LOVE our MC. She's amazing and smart. Her family is funny and kind. <<less

i really loved this story, it was different and refreshing... I loved how they slowly develop feelings for each other, it flows natural. SY and YW are a cute and sweet couple, once their romantic relationship truly beggins they are complete honest with each other, I love the way they understand each other with just one lookn and how they are stick together for almost the whole story hahahah. 10/10 this story is so captivating I couldn't stop reading.

The novel has so much depth, the characters are incredibly tangible, the trauma, the schemes, the despair, the hope, the determination, the heroic spirit in so many characters is so well written and translated I could feel every single emotion.

The irony of destiny, the futile attempts against it, the unity of humanity that won at the very end is such a beautiful description that brought me to tears.

And the comic relief in the story is completely blended in with the absolute... more>> horror and heavy emotions, so much so that it doesn't take away from the seriousness of the situations and just adds a more humane touch.

The main couple... oh my Lord, I can't, they are so perfectly interwoven, they are perfect pieces by themselves but as a whole they are unstoppable. I think it fit the overall theme that they were so OP.

Btw Han shaoling death aint bloody. He just passed away like that so yea.

I love this story. One word: it's so hilarious. The plot was great and the characters was very likeable. MC was an easygoing and intelligent woman and her remarks throughout the story often made me laugh while ML was a yandere + tsundere who often acted like a child who loved boasting and being praised.

The other characters were also very memorable, including the villains. I even felt a bit sad when the original ML met his end.

The original ML, Han Shaoling, was actually a great hero who had a righteous character. However, he was indeed a bad husband. But if we thought from another perspective, he was exacly the representation of man in ancient time who thought that having a wife and a few concubines were a normal thing so that's why he didn't take MC's feeling seriously.

Still, Han Shaoling who had a righteous character won't let himself sacrificed an innocent people for his own gains so he was miserable when he knew that the price of "heaven" trying to protect him was robbing other people's luck and also made the demon attacked the people more fiercely until it costed so many lives.

Although I agree that he still needed to die, I hope that he would die as a hero in the battlefield rather than dying alone in some underground tunnel without any light.

ML and MC will have a twin in the future. It's kinda surprising though because it would be hard for cultivators to have a child, even more so when their cultivation was high. But with ML's heaven-defying strength, maybe it wasn't entirely impossible.

Amazing, just amazing, 7/5.

Amusing unique main casts and side characters, a multitude of flavors of different types of experiences, whether it was funny, melancholic, somber, shock, awe, anguish, anxiety, or horror, the author seem to have covered all the areas at least once.

The plot makes sense, although a bit too quickly paced in the changes of logical development (which makes it a great re-read) emotional progression-wise, and the rough plot outline is super easy to keep up with.

At a first glance, you have an assemblé of very generic casts but there's a very defined original touch of the author there, so please be patient for at least a couple of chapters, you won't be disappointed!

I never felt I've been left out and had the door shut in my face in regards to the protagonist's relationship (which happens quite often when characters sleep with each other and have a sudden huge leap in the relationship progress or face a time skip where they get to intermingle privately on a resort or something) and their unconditional love, care and attention for each other as well as their transparent upfront conduct towards each other made me cheer for them with a 120%.

S/N: Amazing translation, however brace yourself for a bit sloppy towards the end with more common MTL errors like wrong pronouns and literal translations (she≠he, ash≠dust [as in dirt] general small stuff) <<less

No wonder the ratings are so high. This one made me laugh so much, and I loved that both the ML and FL had so much color in their personalities. I enjoyed the fact that they were physically together through most of the story, which meant that progression of the story didn't have to leave one of the characters out (as most novels do).

Love it! Especially the interaction between MC and ML. The both are super op, the ML is considered a lunatic but a very cute one. MC is also hilarious and because trying to save herself, she had alot of ways to tease ML and later on her teasing and bantering with ML is were super sweet.

The 1st half is more on background building, politics, then middle to end alots of epic wars and wars. But of course there’s alots of sweet, fluffy crazy plot keeps you entertained. The side characters... more>> like Sang Family, You, Duan Ming and puppets are absolutely cute! There’s alots of going on, mysteries in the novel but I am glad it also have alot of focus their cute interaction growing love and being op. For me it’s very good read! Thank you <<less

Super interesting at the start but I feel like it stagnates a lot during the latter part. Once they get together they regularly have s*x for dozens of chapters (like every few chapters there's a sentence or two implying they f*cked again) and the relationship doesn't change anymore. So their interactions for most of the second half follow the same formula and it's boring. First part was 5 stars but then I had to force myself to finish it. After the relationship confirmation the plot is then about killing the people who hurt ML to get revenge. My favourite novel of all time, I love the MC and the ML, both are so funny and precious and the plot feels very complete, everything comes full circle.

A wonderful read, I wish I could forget the novel so I could read it again for the first time!

ML is one of the craziest and sweetest out there and likes to stick to MC like glue. I'm surprised this series hasn't gained as much popularity as others in its genre. MC herself is very competent & worthy of the ML.

Translator is excellent as well.

This novel has got be be my favorite Chinese novel ever!! Both the plot and the characters are hilarious 😂 This is the craziest romance novel ever. Such weird and hilarious things happen. Take the MC's power for example it is so bizarre and kind of ugly lol but it is perfect for her. I think both the ML and the MC are definitely a little wrong in the head, but that's what makes... more>> them perfect together.

One arc in the story got a little boring because it was all about back story and politics. But the rest of what read was awesome 👌 <<less

OMGGG this is book is amazing. I love bickering couple, there's such a charm to it hahaha lol. Anyway the summary describes how lunatic yet cute guy the ML is, and how Witty and fun the FL is. Ughhhh I recommend this novel, a good novel! I love the characters and the relationship ^_^.!

After a long time I finally found a really good gem!

I really like the way of thinking of the FL. She is really clever and the interaction with ML is really cute!!!!!!

... more>> Though you can say in the mid of story she become a bit mary sue, but I don't feel repulsed by it. Because it is accompanied with a good logic of the FL.

And I really like how in their villainess way of thinking, they saved the world.

Its a really good story. There is no MC becoming dumber and dumber every chapter. Her brains remain the same the whole story. She makes very good decisions regarding emotions. The ML also recognizes his own probelem and the ML's problem isn't stretched out too much nor is it too short. All scenes in this novel play out naturally and romance isn't forced. It is not too short to feel like its forced nor too long to feel too dramatic.

This novel is different from what is suggested by its summary, and also different from the first impression of the first dozen or so chapters.

The first dozen or so chapters are about the transmigrated MC desperately using her acting skills just to barely survive. The ML is a dangerous threat to her and all "fluffy" scenes are just her desperately acting to save her life.

And then, as the MC acquires more power of her own, and as the ML's backstory is revealed so that you (and the MC) learn why... more>> he is the way he is and how he ticks, the novel begins to be something else entirely. It is a thrilling, fate-defying adventure story, with plenty of sense of humor, a great central romance, some fun military tactics and money-grubbing schemes (the entire ongoing monetary subplot is a delight) and a really fun side couple. I haven't yet seen how it plays out until the end but the story completely won me over. I really appreciate the balance between genuinely thrilling plot developments on the one hand and ridiculous character shenanigans on the other. Little touches like making the MC's power ridiculous, so that even as it grows more OP over time it's endearing. I love the entire main cast. I even love the villains, they are the exact right level of loathsome to be fun to hate and look forward to seeing them go down. <<less
