Bursting After He Transmigrated into the Cannon Fodder Omega

Yun Xingze transmigrated into an ABO novel and became the cannon fodder omega. The family business is declining and his fiancé doesn’t like him. According to the original plot, with his love-filled brain, he dedicated everything to the male lead Chi Yu, but ended up losing the marriage, before finally cutting his gland and dying of infection.

The former mecha genius Yun Xingze said: I am very busy and will not play with you.

After tearing apart the script, he was obsessed with mechas, ready to realize his past life’s dream.

Delicate and frail omegas have always been unsuitable for piloting mecha armor. However, in this year’s XingHai Military Academy’s mecha contest, a new omega student named Yun Xingze appeared, driving a pitiful second-hand armor. Everyone thought he was provoked by the broken engagement and ready to watch a joke, but they were shocked when Yun Xingze suppressed a group of alphas with his mecha!

Everyone: ??? Is this reasonable?!

Something more shocking is yet to come-

Yun Xingze broke the winning streak in the Mecha Contest!

The mecha designed by Yun Xingze was sold at a high price at the auction!

The mecha technology created by Yun Xingze is desired by all-interstellar mecha companies!

The whole interstellar wants to hold his thigh!

——–

After the dissolution of their marriage contract, Chi Yu waited for Yun Xingze to regret it, but the one who regretted it was himself. Fortunately, there is a rule in the Empire: AOs with high pheromone matching must be together.

Yun Xingze is destined to become his fiancee.

However, at the engagement banquet, before Chi Yu had time to propose, Yun Xingze sneered and severed his gland. As described in the original book, the pheromone floated in the air, and like a rose, withered quickly.

Chi Yu was shocked and heartbroken, but before he could do anything, another tall figure hugged Yun Xingze and rushed out of the banquet.

Everyone showed a surprised expression.

Even Yun Xingze looked at the person holding him in surprise-

He was the villain, Luo Wenchuan. In the original book, the second prince of the Star Empire was tall and handsome, but cold and unkind.

But at this moment, his eyes were red with anxiety.

how to say..... It was a very average story to me.

Yeah in the beginning I enjoyed the story very much, and was very excited for the faceslapping chapters. But later all of my enthusiasm started to wane.

As I said it's a pretty average one and you could almost guess all the storyline alone, so pretty much basic.

Idk about the ending though as I dropped the story.

But I would still recommend u to read it first before dropping it, cause sometimes even if we could guess the plot, we still enjoy it very much, so do read first

Thanku author and the translators

This is a mecha story first, then a story about a guy from another world sent into an Omega. He’s all about mech and his unfulfilled dreams. He doesn’t experience much of an omega existence, no alpha pheromone stress, no heat, in fact the author makes sure he has no real effects from the alpha who is affected. Xingze doesn’t have a system telling him he can’t OOC so why would that be a concern to him? Also he was treated well in his last life, why would he put... more>> up with the way he was treated? I prefer more fluff and less drama but this was a good read. I agree that this author should just write mecha stories and give up the relationship aspect but I wouldn’t read it. For me the relationship comes first and I think the rating of this story shows I’m not alone <<less

Pretty solid!

The ML is pretty uninteresting, but still a pleasant character. If you enjoy the cold-outside warm-inside type, he should be up your alley. His background isn't really well-established in the story. It's definitely a pretty important to the story, but I never felt like it really had much purpose other than to prop up the MC. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing though, since the novel is primarily a counterattack story-- a simple but nicely executed plot is better than a complex and poorly executed plot, especially... more>> since a lot of webnovel success is based off of trope satisfaction. The MC is excellent; he's definitely OP, but that's fairly typical of a faceslapping novel. In the early stages of the novel, he's still reliant on others for opportunities-- he has his own stunning abilities, but it's fairly obvious that he'd be out of luck if he wasn't helped. I really enjoyed his attitude and characterization. The romance maintains consent.

The ABO setting is used to comment on misogyny, rather than just being a device for NSFW content. The omega villains generally have more nuanced characters, displaying the common real life issues of women attacking other women to try and buoy themselves in a patriarchal society, or women being forced to accept lesser positions because they've never been allowed to think of anything else. The MC's advantage is that he doesn't have this same ingrained idea, as he's from a non-ABO world and a man. His ability to persevere through this reality's "misogyny" is because he lacks any close relationship to someone who would pressure him to bow his head, and because he's an outsider to ABO society.

The commentary kind of breaks down in some areas-- it's explicitly stated that omegas are genuinely weaker in physical and mental strength. It's not inherent to their actual personalities, it's because their gland literally inhibits them. If it's supposed to be a parallel to irl women, I'd understand physical strength (though, I think its nonsense that sci-fi tech is so primitive that it still heavy relies on physical strength) but mental strength? Come on. That's just gross. It doesn't invalidate the whole "just because someone is weaker, doesn't mean you can treat them poorly" message, but making the omegas just outright worse unless they remove their glands (which I believe is supposed to sterilize them) in a story set in a military school... An equalizing factor is later introduced, which addresses how the weakest and most vulnerable folks are going to inevitably end up being oppressed in a militaristic society, but it's very late into the story. While I still thought this world setting was used interestingly, I think the author fumbled it by making omegas genuinely weaker in every way excluding one thing (won't spoil) that isn't even a strength inherent to them.

... Despite my grievances, I did genuinely enjoy the novel. Great faceslapping, lovable side characters (Kaleb my beloved), and tries to tackle genuine issues. As a webnovel, it's definitely above average. <<less

Spoiler

OP MC is OP, dog blood novel os full of dog blood, this novel is another BL**CH/dr*g*nb*ll loop.

MC has a coming up fight > upgrades the mecha > fights n win > new fight > new upgrades > more wins > rinse and repeat

The romance subplot only came out in last part of the series.

As I read on, I felt more intelligence could have been given to the villians. Instead of screaming "YOU ARE JUST AN OMEGAAA" and lose miserable then scream "BUT HOWWW YOU CHEATED YOU ARE JUST AN OMEGAAA." It came to the point I had to skim through the chapters just to reach the end. There are no neutral characters, only the one siding with MC, or not. And yeah as dog blood novels go, they were all punished.

ML goes OOC sometimes, but honestly all characters are flatter than the MC's chest. Would be nice if there were more dimension to the characters even tho most disappear at one point.

The only thing that I like is at the very last chapter. The rest, not so much, just had to pull through to the end.

I love!!

too heavy on the details especially during the battles which is like more than half of all the chapters, so I just kept scrolling trying to find the end of the battles because honestly too boring and even though MC uses different tricks and tactics everytime there would be like a one paragraph recap afterwards by the people watching so I just skip it

i wanted to rate it 4 because it was not enough romance for me, but since this is my personal preference, I refrained from doing so

It's great. The novel's main caracter is strong front the start, amd because of that there is a lot of face slapping. But IT is not too much, and there arra actually villains those are redeemed.

This very sweet, action-filled novel, while labeled as a yaoi, is actually a clean BL. The sweet relationship that develops between the MCs is, as how a minor background character described at the end; like a fairy tale.

Damn!! I am going to remember this for a long time. Both MC and ML going on the top list of my fav cp. We need more capable and strong MC and ML who support from the sideline. Please, I am tired of seeing week and soft MC. So 5 Star for keeping me entertained.

i was a little hesitant to read this cause I usually dont give anything lower then a 70 rating my time but I decided to read this and it did not disappoint!

This novel was very fun and I didn't feel like I was forcing myself to finish, if anything I'm grieved that they're no extras.

... more>> I do feel like this novel is more focused on the MC regaining his status as a mecha master, I still enjoyed it.

Oh wow! What a surprise! I didn't think i'd actually like this (considering that I've dropped a few of translator's works lol), the summary didn't let me down. The premise was very intriguing and it kept me high until the very end! I actually like the fighting scenes, I love the face-slapping in the competition, though it did get a bit boring towards the end.

One thing I like about this is that it didn't go to the cliche'd ABO route, I mean, after a certain scene they did kinda go... more>> there but not so much there to make me tired and go 'not again!' because of it. I like MC and ML, both OP, and I really don't like OP main CP so much but this was done rather beautifully.

One last thing, I live love laugh how the little antagonistic characters turns for the better! I like that part so much, we don't often see that. Definitely a 5/5 for me! <<less

Boring and s*upid.

The fact that Xingze doesn't even try communicating with his parents to tell them he has "changed" bugs the hell outta me. If they knew, they might have supported him even if it was for their own interests.

... Almost Perfect. If only there's Extras to put the aftermath of literally Everything! Like the Daily life after all that.

Anyway, this novel is truly Good!!!

Yes, the author doesn't lie with the Spoiler (shown in the Summary of Translation Website and T/N on the 1st chapter of the novel). We get MC have smooth sailing about his Mecha build, Mecha Fight, Mental power, and lots of thing. But there's also Dog Blood!

The Dog Blood aka Drama was only happen once. At least for the BIG DRAMA, it was only happen... more>> in the last 1/4 part of the story. And only take the Half of the 1/4. So it's not much, but it had made me So Angry my Head literally feel so Heavy and Ached.

Most of the story was Smooth Life MC with very little Conflict, Nice Faceslapping, and few small misunderstanding.

I honestly surprisingly like how the Author wrote the Villains. The ones that Redeemable and the one that deserve to be the Lowest or just begone already.

I also like how they wrote the Opponents!

Reading this Novel remind me of Japanese Sport Manga/Anime. I realised it mostly on the last 2 Competitions and when all their friends praying MC be able to join them again.

Anyway, it may not be a Fluff Novel. It sure isn't a Perfect one too. But most of it was Satisfying and I'm quite Satisfied with the how the story goes and ended.

And so, I'm Absolutely Truly LOVING IT to the Moon and Beyond!!! <<less

This novel is your common interstellar omegaverse book transmigration type of novel where an op MC transmigrated into the body of an underdog cannon fodder and starts face-slapping everyone that goes against him. The MC is single-mindedly concentrated on his goal of driving mechas and improving mecha technology. So he is a bit dull when it comes to romance. It takes him a while to realize his own feelings and the ML's despite the ML being quite obvious with his favoritism towards him. I guess, you can blame his past... more>> life for that as his weak physical health used to limit his life experiences.

The plot itself is nothing I have never read before, but it does provide enough entertainment through regular face-slapping and sweet and subtle dog food. Gender discrimination towards omegas is a big topic in this novel, be it shown outwardly or internalized. You will see many different reactions towards this discrimination through various characters. Some chose to accept the discrimination and internalized it, others chose to escape through various means and then there is the MC who actively fought to change public perception.

One thing I have to point out is how many characters showed character development. Many of them were antagonists in the beginning, but repented and turned into friends/comrades/neutral characters.

While the story is nothing new I did enjoy reading this novel thus my good rating. <<less

I'm shocked at how wonderful this was. It's a shuangwen (wish-fulfillment) novel, so it's expected to be smooth-sailing and perfect for the MC. BUT what makes this good is that it wasn't corny and even the face-slapping was tastefully done and hardly cringe! God knows how many shuangwen novels here in NU should have stayed in the drafts.

I think what made it so good was the character development for several characters, not just the MC and ML. I also really love the ABO treatment here. It highlighted the discrimination against... more>> omegas, but also gave them power. I also appreciate how the author didn't even attempt intricate intrigues and political maneuvering. Most shuangwen novels suffer from plots made convoluted by this in an attempt to display how OP the MC is. This story doesn't have that. We have an MC and ML who are straightforwardly OP, and the author didn't bother giving them some twisted dogblooded plot.

But that doesn't mean there weren't painful moments! My heart seriously hurt when MC decided to:

Spoiler

cut his gland in order to extricate himself from the forced engagement.

[collapse]

But he still breezed through that because, again, this is shuangwen.

I also really like how their feelings developed for each other. For the record, it wasn't through pheromones. There was already mutual interest before the first intersection between their pheromones. When they got together, there was also no such thing as ML using his pheromones to influence MC.

In fact, if ABO terms weren't mentioned, you can even forget that this is an ABO novel. The ABO concept here was definitely important, but it wasn't used as the main driving factor to push the CP together. Rather, it was treated like a side dish.

Spoiler

Yes, the typical accidentally-in-heat scene happened, but after that there weren't any other major scenes that involved it. Even the temporary mark scene was induced by alcohol, which triggered the susceptible period. But after the bite, that's it. Nothing remotely snu snu happened. Both MC and ML could resist the impulse because of certain factors.

[collapse]

Aside from Accidental Mark, I haven't seen another ABO novel that executed this concept this well. Definitely 5/5 recommend. <<less

I really, really enjoyed it. I didn't have that high of an expectation, but man, I really love how everything played out here. This was a beautiful novel that focuses on overturning societal stigmatism while enjoying the road to success.

NOTE: this is a feel-good novel. Classic powerful MC and ML facing problems thrown at them by society, struggling a bit to turn the tides, but in the end doing so.

I also love the ML's and MC's romantic story and how it IS barely focused on any... more>> "ABO" elements. They fall in love with each other because the other party is not an "alpha" or "omega" but because they are themselves.

Another thing I really appreciate the author doing is they focus on redemption for a lot of characters other novels would seem as villains or "cannon fodders." I feel that made this novel special and it made me respect the author a lot. There was face slapping, but when the recipients are kids who are partially the product of their environment, they have the option of forgiveness. And I believe that is a very overlooked aspect of novels in general.

I rate this a 4.5 (the last chapter has a teeny weeny bit abrupt feelings—kinda wanted extras). This is a VERY VERY rare score for me. I barely rate novels these days a 4 or 5. So to rate this novel an in between is honestly surprising to me too.

Anyways, this story is basically completed translated. PLEASE READ IT!!!! <<less

Ahhhhhh I love this so much!to the people complaining about how the MC is so powerful and gets his way, the author had already mentioned that it was going to be that way in the first chapter itself. Why tf y'all complaining!?

Its a good novel, with a lot of fluff and a little bit of angst (not to much) there are any useless plotlines that drags the story. The MC and ML have a good relationship, mutual respect and the build up to their love is just "chef's kiss"

Reading... more>> the MC's journey towards empowering the omega population it was so emotional esp when he delivered "that" speech. The author managed to make the omegas look strong and I'm very happy with that.

Dont listen to the bad reviews, it s a good book, the only flaw is........... there are no extras!!!! I wanted a wedding and pregant xinghe building a mecha.... wuwuwuwuwuuw <<less

I love it but HOW COULD THE AUTHOR END IT AT THAT????

Everything is better than I expected, except for the end part. It's not really that bad, but the novel is very enjoyable so when it ended, you'd feel like "there must've been some extra chapters atleast!!" BUT NO, the author ended it 🥲.

It's a slow burn romance and it also mostly focuses on the mecha-action. It's a novel where the MC kept on becoming powerful. Of course, there are some setbacks but they are very minor except for the... more>> main conflicts.

AND I LOVE THE SIDE CHARACTERS!! They are a league of their own because they have such great personalities.

The villains are meh. They're not really that powerful. As the author said, this is a story of the MC having a smooth-sailing life.

I love it and in terms of some aspects, I'd rate it as follows:

  • Translation = 4.6/5
  • Plot = 4.3/5
  • Characters = 4.8/5
  • Romance = 4.0/5
  • Story Flow = 4.5/5
Overall, I'd rate it as 4.6/5. <<less

This story is good, it really is but the pluffy and romance moments where too short, but more than that I hate the fact that it was too short and I would just found out that it was already the last chapter, it fills like a cliffhanger and it was anti-climatic the end was just the MC would propose and the gland recovery then the last thing they said was let's change place, and that's what makes it more unbearable cause there's literally no next chapter after that there wasn't... more>> even a wedding but I really like the fact that they publicized the 100% match pheromones, it's just it's really way too short more like insufficient. <<less

I MTL-ed this novel because I got hooked up by how the author described the mecha and the things, it was good.

IMO this novel was just a feel-good revenge story, the MC and ML were OP so we don't really need to worry about anything since they will always resolve their own problem, it would be good to let them have a stumble sometimes, but all in all, this was a pretty decent novel, I had fun reading this and I cried a lot near the end of the novel.

This... more>> novel is good but not perfect, but since the MC was born OP I decided not to think about plot armor and those Stu traits in the novel and just enjoy the ride. <<less
