As the worlds mixed up, the characters in the cultivation novel frequently appeared beside him.

The whole thing was a mess, traveling between two worlds. Claiming to be relatives with people, arranging a marriage, becoming sworn brothers with others…

I really wanted to like this novel, but the MC refuses to use his two brain cells to think things through. It's annoying. Also, that system is truly a tr*sh system. It and the MC suit each other well. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😫 Like, ALL the clues are there, but the MC is completely blind to it.

I'll continue reading this when I have enough patience to tolerate it.

The story was ok but nothing extraordinary. The plot was intriguing and the best thing about this book. Length wise it was perfect as anything longer I would find a chore considering the rest of its features. It was simple and easy to follow (language) which in this case is to its advantage.

However, dont think the characters developed in great depth. I wasnt in particular a fan of their personalities. In fact I didn't really like the MC.

I didn't like the authors style of writing and found myself bored of... more>> the monotonous narration. There were some comedic elements but not enough to call it a funny novel.

Overall 3/5 in my opinion as it wasnt a masterpiece but certainly a good light read in between longer more complex stories. <<less

A very solid 4 out of 5, a novel that reels you in with farming/Stardew Valley-esque shenanigans then ups the intrigue with a world-bending cultivation plot.

To help myself remember, here's what I liked and why it's a 4 (a re-read for me) :

  • Xia Yi is a truly loveable MC--he's a modern man thrown into a Ger world (one with omegas and mpreg) but he's so earnest without being obnoxious that he's genuinely fun to root for as he discovers his past
  • Gu Wen Zhu has a whole past mystery but he's originally very wary of XY and suspicious since GWZ was raised in this Ger world and XY is a shameless bastard (and we love him for that)
  • The two get closer together as they farm and XY works with the System to raise seemingly ordinary vegetables with great vigor
  • Love it love farming it's very Harvest Moon and unlike other farming novels that I couldn't finish, I actually like the pacing and the balance here of the farming-to-action ratio
  • One thing that, upon learning the truth of XY and GWZ's past, wasn't quite congruent to me was

    GWZ's original compassion in the farming world towards XY--why would he have any reason to extend such courtesies to a stranger? I don't recall it being mentioned that his 'soul' subconsciously recognizes XY/Wang Lan though that's the only realistic option...

    and the fact that the System is experiencing all this the same as XY is great fun and helps build up an interesting but cohesive mystery
  • OH ALSO love the System, he even hints that he's a Ger the same as his host XY and that the System world can turn into humans--this never appears in an extra or anywhere else in the book but it's such a fun concept~
  • We support the System x His System Boss Who's Into MLMs and Motivational Workshops unofficial side CP <3
  • Miscellaneous notes: liked the length of the book but could use another 1-2 extras about the System or XY and his children with GWZ--as it is now, the 1 extra is more of an epilogue; also enjoyed the side characters, they didn't get too much screentime but were distinct and meaningful; the farming gets slowly phased out and replaced by the cultivation world entirely but it's about a 50/50 balance
Definitely recommend--it felt similar to "Let Me Tease You" in tone and the main CP was sweet but still full of character development. Great pacing and balance but not a 100% farming novel, which I personally prefer.

Prayers for a System x System novel in the future ~<3

Surprisingly more plot than I thought there would be. If you aren’t too sure about the story, I’d say get to around character 15 or so and see how you feel then. The plot suddenly thickens and I was literally like, “oh?”

I like the characters, MC is pretty funny and I like that he’s a little coquettish. He and ML are equally clingy with each other, which I like. Yes boys, be simps. MC is an a sex-positive shou, which is nice to see. Literally hate the “no no no” means “yes yes yes” trope.

MLs a standard doting gong. He’s quiet, powerful and extremely devoted. He is also very respectful of the MC, which I appreciate.

All in all, I enjoyed this novel. <<less

4.3 Stars. Wow. I was very surprised by this novel. It was short and without any unnecessary drama. I like how the story develops with all the hints that you only will understand in the end. A few times I wanted to strangle the MC. Some of his attitudes were very spoiled and a little over the top, but with time we noticed that it is nothing more than the personality of the character and the author was very consistent with it. I really like this novel, but I don't... more>> think I'll be reading it again. Let's see in the future. I'll update this review if I change my mind in the future. <<less

AHHHHHHHH I FXCKING LOVE THIS!!!! For a novel with 69 chapters, the plot is really well made. The first half of the novel is very light and funny and sooo sweet and then the second half will hit you with plot twists. I'm very happy and satisfied with the ending but having more extras shouldn't hurt hehe I love reading more of their domestic lives. But all in all, I recommend this story and it should have a higher rating!!!!

Reading this novel felt like a few different genres doing battle in the author's mind and she just gave up and wrote about all of them. There's transmigration with a system, there's cultivation and fantasy portals/battles, there's third gender Gers and then there's also the heats/estrus from omegaverse stories. Despite all this, the story felt like a slice of life novel.

MC is transmigrated into another world with a system. We don't know why. He's from the modern day world as we know it and apparently he was reading two types... more>> of novels at the same time so the system overloaded and malfunctioned. His home world is never really talked about again because near the end of the novel it reveals that he is originally from the cultivation world. If you are into farming and level up novels then this novel does not have that. The ML does all the farming and MC just has his system harvest the plants afterwards. Even the rewards are not really spoken about because apparently, aside from the last one, they're pretty useless to the MC. The Gers are a mpreg vehicle in this novel and for some reason they have heats like an omega would. Aside from using that as an excuse to give some characters their first time it's never really mentioned again.

(And that breaks my mind because if Gers are the only ones going into heat for a week and want snu-snu all during that week AND are able to give birth with no other difficulties beyond producing less milk than a female would... I would see the world breaking down to just Men and Gers with females going extinct because... Gers have no periods, they have week long heats. Isn't that every man's fantasy?)

ML also undergoes a personality change at some point because he goes from standoff-ish and determined to protect his reputation as a single man to being super doting and sweet to MC.

BUUUUT, all of that aside, this novel is short and an easy read. The story is like a slice of life so there's no real villains or conflicts that aren't settled within the same chapter or even the next one. The author tries to explain and wrap up the multi universe flip flop in the last two chapters. As long as you aren't taking the plot too seriously then this novel is a relaxing read for some sweet MC/ML interactions. If you do take plot serious, your brain will explode with the amount of plot holes and inconsistencies everywhere <<less

This novel is good. I just felt bad for ML.

Let's be honest. Though MC learn things to achieve his mission, all of the things needed to be done was all ML's doing. I don't criticize MC for that. When I remember that MC is a ger, my mind automatically reason everything well. Maybe because it's the common setting of a ger? Doing nothing? I'm not saying all of the novels with ger is like that. I read some where MC is a ger but he is so amazing. Sorry can't recommend the title, I forgot the title lol.

Anyway, I like the twist of this novel, I didn't expect that kind of twist. I just wonder why the system choose MC to be the host. Was it written in the novel?... more>> I didn't notice so it's a mystery for me.

All is good. There's no cliche, face-slapping, low iq/eq, etc. It's not slow pace and the chapter is not long. Best for reading to past time. But not for relaxing for me since I cried because of this lol.

When I started reading this novel, I dropped it at around chapter 15, but later I picked it up again. I fill skipping those chapters, I finally reached the point where it ignited my interest. Now, my mind has totally changed about it. Here is my final thoughts on this novel 😊

Loved everything about it, especially the fact that MC kept his modern life mindset and attitude throughout the whole story. I loved this consistency of his character the most. Nice plot, nice MC and ML, nice side characters, mwuah... more>> 😙👌 (chef kiss) !

The premisse is unique, the ML is doting, everywhere is sweet and funny and the system is precious.

The drama is very low, is more like a feel good sweet funny novel with a twist of mystery waiting to be revealed.

Completely worth reading it.

This story has many ups and downs to the point of being confusing at times mainly because of the multiple glitches/transmigrations the characters experience. In the end though it’s worth it to read to the end because by the end everything is explained. I loved how Xia Yi and Gu Wen Zhu proved they were meant for each other since their reborn selves still fell in love even without knowing their past.

Xia Yi and Gu Wen Zhu were originally a couple but in order to heal and revive they had to be reborn. And the reason why the system couldn’t fix the glitch was because of Gu Wen Zhu’s dad opened a portal between the cultivation and farming world unknowingly interfering with the system. I liked how by the end both worlds were able to coexist and the entire family of MC and ML was able to reunite with everyone having their memories complete. Especially how the person behind Xia Yi’s death was punished.

A fun mix of farming, xanxia, ger universe, transmigration with a system and a small cast of wacky and funny characters and plenty of fluff. It is just light fantasy reading, with plenty of comedy, no need to analyze further. Really enjoyable read.

Pretty good, very fluffy but also humorous throughout. The story did feel a bit fast, like a condensed or summarized story as many elements seemed to have progressed super quickly.

Despite it being a short story, it is very jam-packed with content. In a way, I wish the author had taken more time to slow down crucial scenes or development.

Nevertheless, I have a great impression of this author and greatly enjoyed their other works as well.

This one is like their other stuff, quirky, intentionally breaking cliches, and just a fun time... more>> overall.

Love this one! Would I recommend it to others? Yes, surely! Will I reread? Probably, maybe just the ending and the extra but anyways.

I would recommend this to certain type of people bcs mind you, the MC is brain-dead no thinking just happy-go-lucky person. And that is exactly why I like it lmao. Irl he would be so f*cking annoying bcs he’s always crying and dependant onto ML, but for fiction? That’s my cup over there.

It was quite boring for the first few chapters but the MC and his system... more>> interaction is what makes me stay. Also, even if it is boring I wouldn’t drop it bcs I’m waiting for the mpreg (><”)

It was a bit pity that the story doesn’t have that much extra bcs I would love to hear more about their daily lives with their big family TT

This is simply a parody novel with a touch of drama and plot xD. The plot is not its strong point but I think the touch of mystery unraveling is done well. For me, it's a novel that is made for the laughs and fluffs. So I don't feel disatisfied with the not-so perfect things and just treat it as something to pass the time and enjoy.

Imo, MC is not that annoying. Yes, he cried a lot and sometimes having a bit of unreasonable side, but it was understandable. I... more>> think that's what makes him cute and funny. And remember, this is somewhat of a parody novel xD.

I'd like to specially mention the pregnancy episode. I think MC's reaction is a realistic representation of what a real life men's possible reaction knowing that they could give birth as a man in a strange world. Plus, pregnancy accompanies high and unstable moods, so given the stress and difficulties, it was a reasonable reaction. Also, he did reflect on it after some time and accepted his situation. So it was okay and I don't find him unlikeable.

I have a fun time reading this, tottaly cinema comedy. Even though the MC is a cry baby and kinda foolish, his way to express his love and hate is so refreshing to read. Usually other transmigration MC who suddenly can give birth will accept it out of nowhere but in here we can see the up and down of MC to accept reality.

It's also so refreshing to read MC who doesn't think about making money 24/7 like others and just enjoy being loved and pampered by his "wife" lol.

Anyway... more>> if you want to read this, just think of this as comedy and don't bring any gender bl propaganda. Enjoy!

This is a novel that starts off kinda lame and cheesy, and at the half way point you're wondering 'WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!'

The story itself kept me reading rather than the MC and ML, who are a bit generic. The story however starts of generic but goes in places you don't expect. I started with low expectations but this was more fun then I expected. It helped too that I didn't read the tags and went in from the summary, so I didn't get spoiled too much.
