Xian Sheng was a lovable yet sickly person. In order to survive, he was disguised as a girl and raised as a princess at a young age.

I almost didn't finished it because of the not so okay review, but since I didn't have anything else to read, I read it and I don't regret the whole story was definitely up my alley, I love every second of it. Was a little sad about qi yi?? But he was indeed crazy hopefully in the next life he is level headed, I also wish there was more extras apart from that everything was sweet.

Another fantastic book I would have missed because I read the negative reviews first without even giving this a chance. So happy I read it. Ended up binge reading it despite having work the next day 😭❤️❤️❤️

Pros :

The relationship between ML and MC is so sweeeet. ML treat MC really well. At first it was ML who do more in the realtionship, after the revelation of MC's secret, MC do more for the relationship. It's nice to see them putting the same effort in.

The ML has a bad boy vibe to him. Like right after seeing MC, he teases MC and ask for MC's hand in marriage. He's also playful and likes to flirt. ML is just my type of guy.

At first, from just reading the description of the novel I thought it would be a light hearted, silly novel. Instead, the novel tries hard to be serious, while slightly silly at the same time and it really plays with your emotions. It feels like everything from the ML and the ML's family is slightly comedic, the royal family is way too comfortable and silly with each other while everything from MC's thoughts to MC's family is overly serious and always on high tension which makes the reader also feel... more>> stressed when reading.

I'm currently on chapter 79 and still reading, but that's already 75% of the way through. And I just don't understand what MC's family is thinking. Multiple people aside from the main family know that MC is male, they're fully aware that ML is sexually interested in MC and that's why he asked for marriage, there's absolutely no way to protect MC's secret once he is sent over. Even if the marriage happened in spring like originally planned, that's just an extra few months before the storm. If ML never fell in love despite the gender, then MC and the whole South liang would be in danger once again and they would have lost their precious MC at the same time. It just doesn't make sense, realistically, since MC is so sickly anyways, they should have just had her fake her death and offered up another beauty. But anyways, it's fiction.

Right now where I am in the novel, MC's brother is visiting North Jin and both he and MC are freaking out on how to get him out of the country and avoid imprisonment and I'm just thinking... why the heck did you bother inviting him over to visit in the first place when everything is so dangerous. It's nothing new! You should know better, even I knew better as a reader when the idea was even brought up in the first place! You left your country to sacrifice for their safety, bringing them over even for a visit is dangerous. Sheesh. Now I'm stressed and worried for the brother.

I'm also not understanding why so many people are liking Qin Yi. Not comparing him to the ML, but just looking at his character on its own, he is super obsessive and mu*derous. He killed his own brothers as well as countless other men just for proposing to MC. All those men were rejected anyways, he absolutely did not have to mu*der anyone! MC also rejected him multiple times, no means no. He almost caused another war between the two countries just for his own selfish dream.

Update: completed the novel! The last 20% of the novel was definitely rushed. As soon as the major villain was cleared everything just wrapped up quickly and then it was about mpreg and then the little bun. They never explained why MC had a special constitution and was able to give birth though <<less

The story is good, Very suitable for filling your free time. My only problem is with the translation, the beginning and end are good. It's really messy in the middle, but thanks for translating this. I don't know why many people feel sorry for the villain, he forced the MC, blamed the MC, whatever Qin Yi did was wrong, so I didn't really feel sorry for him when he died.

Drooped. Something didn't feel right. Not like a BL. I didnt have enough patience to wait for gender reveal and the way the MC handled it was weird too.. He could not keep it a hidden secret for ever. It just made no sense. The longer its a secret the more angry I would be in MLs shoes. Totally ridiculous.

Furthermore I wasnt too excited about his secret getting revealed. Like I said something was missing..

For me, most important of all was that the author made it clear the MC was OK with being called wife and calling his spouse husband. This is something that you never see in other books, and I really like it and wish it were the norm. Either make it clear whether the two are OK with being addressed as husband and wife or just call them spouses/partners etc.

The MC's upbringing also makes it easy to see why he would be OK with being a wife. But, as he himself... more>> mentioned, he still wanted to recover his identity one way ore another. Whether he did so fully or just partially was unfortunately based on circumstances, but he still tried to do it as much as possible. And it's nice the ML became more mature and responsible and could also understand this. Tbh, I think by the time ML became the Emperor, as long as he mentioned he didn't really have a way to sort out the MC's identity, the MC would have let it go. What was important was the attitude the ML took towards it. <<less

FLUFFYYYYY!!!!

tbh I finished a heavier novel (Silent Reading, highly recommend!!) and was looking for a more light novel to read. Personally, I despise historical novels because I hate the disloyal princes or emperors with their harems of thousands of beauties...

BUT THIS novel is different!! Ahhh so lovely, soo cute!!! The fluff is amazing! I can’t find anything that I don’t like about this novel, it was perfect! SO GOOOOOD. Love the fluff, love the plot, and specially love the characters!! ML and MC are very reasonable. You won't go wtf with their decisions in life. I loved the tension before the reveal.

Great read. Thought there gona be abit aghast but no, it’s sweet and funny. They are very serious and mature when going in for battle but when they are alone both were like babies, sweet bantering and fluff. It’s doesn’t have many complicated dog blood or political drama. Even the villains chapters are mild. The story mostly focus on both cp, from the lust and lies to untie their heart knots to fully except and love each other. Both ML and MC were cute. Okay, technically after the misunderstood cleared, things between them goes somewhat.... Comedic? Because ML is Shameless.

Okay put aside the relationship between MC and ML, I really like how the Author wrote the Royal Family in this novel. Both from ML and MC's side, their Family are quite Harmonious! No scheming siblings. They care about their siblings. Their parents aka the Empress and Emperor also Decent and Funny (ML's) or Caring (MC's). This. Is. RARE!!!

The pregnant revelation was the Best Exciting Scene EVER!!!

I enjoy reading this! I was planning to wait for the translated chapters, but the translator decided to drop the novel, so I've decided to read the raws.

All I can say was the ML's family was a face con, who loves beauty very much. ML loves MC very much, he treated MC as a treasure and are always worried whenever MC fall sick. He treats other ppl coldly. There is some angst regarding MC's identity and sometimes he was so sick that he was between life and death.

I really like it so far! It's definitely a different and interesting story. It's kind of nice to read about someone who is chronically ill (as am I), but still is a strong & intelligent character. Does anyone know where to find the translated chapter 62 and onwards?

This is actually nice like the tags were kinda misleading since those really not occured. It was just a situation where they needed to lie since the shou was too weak, well that’s what I thought.

The drama and villains kinda ended fast lol since they were killed with a little screen time? Since aside from mentioning their names, they rarely appeared.

We can say that the Gong’s family members ara facecon lol since the shou got forgiven multiple times due to his face.

I have not read something this good for a while it's so very very interesting novel, even though it's not very complicated and is a very light hearted novel but I love it very much.

Both the MC and ML are so lovable ML is just so good and a great husband a great father and Emperor.

I loved how they are story progressed without much complications.

I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I adore this book so much!! The pacing, the characters, the resolution is top tier! My heart was pounding during the tense scenes and I cried when our MC and ML cried. Truly worth the high rating! If you want a period Mpreg piece where the main couple is too sweet like sugar, read this.

The whole book had me waiting on the baby to be born but I was a little worried that the ML was gonna have a rivalry with his own son like other novels. Thankfully author didn't and showed us how much Father/ML loves his firstborn son. I did chuckle when at the end our MC was expecting twins. Well, the gods did say they were to be blessed 🤣.

MC is too selfish and petty, ML is s*upid and knows he is being used but still wants to. I don't feel like reading BL at all, where's the gayyy sensation, damn it. As long as the book MC wears women's clothes which irritates me, it took more than half the book to know his identity and even then he is still pretending. He is practically castrated, very weak with petty thoughts. Then MC is also manipulative, crying too easily even beyond a girl.

it was a bit uncomfortable seeing the MC being scheming towards the ML and was sort of playing with the latter's feelings. but then when you take in the fact he needs to survive in that sort of environment then you can almost forgive him. but still...

all in all the story was good. aside from the fact that the ML always had to give way and understand the MC (not really stated but implied) it was an interesting read.",)
