I endured the s*upidity of all the cannon fodders and netizens up until chapter 46 and I'm out. They were too annoying for me to continue reading. It's like the author was obsess with face slapping just for the sake of it.

BL: basically just exists

Netizens and bad guys: Annoying! Go and Die!

... more>> BL: miraculously solved the game by plot armor

Netizens: D*mn! I was wrong! My face hurt!

BL: basically just exists (2)

etc.

I agree with the other reviewer. The Deus ex machina is too much. The MC pretty much instinctively know how to clear each game and happen to have access to all the tools he will need to manipulate the game to make him win. <<less

The arcs are well constructed and the basic premise (a horror game being used as a viral vector to bring the terrible scenarios into the real world) is interesting. I've enjoyed all but one of the arcs so far (and even the one I didn't like was okay, I just found the arc's antagonist's personality annoyingly written)

The MC is OP, and also very cold — but his central challenge is to overcome this and be human, so it's actually not entirely an advantage. If you really can't stand a... more>> morally ambiguous antihero type MC I suppose you can skip this novel, but personally I found his efforts to be more than his evil destiny very interesting.

The side characters are well built and I felt invested in them. Tbh for many many chapters the MC had more chemistry with them than with the ML, only now halfway through the story is the balance starting to shift. But they feel like their own people not just props, and they get their own character arcs, romances, etc. Some have more tragic fates than others but I felt they were all interesting, sympathetic, terrible in their own specific ways and endearing in their own specific ways.

This novel is very cynical about the world and humanity, but it also contains within it a lot of hope. And also a scene with cond*ms being used as balloons that was honestly super emotional.

I definitely recommend it. <<less

I'm not going to rate this as I'm almost at the end of arc 2.

So, the first infinite flow horror I ever read was KoD and to be honest it's hard finding novels nowadays that are on that level.

Before I read this one, I thought with the rating and since it's horror I would get the same KoD experience but no.

... more>> The novel itself isn't bad, but for me, a good horror novel is getting immersed in story. Feeling the mood, getting scared and this novel has none of it.

Heck when I read KoD I could barely sleep but I slept really good while still reading this.

Like I said, the novel isn't bad, it's just me. I was expecting some riddle plot solving horror with a bit of action. Experiencing death with the protagonist against the supernatural but nope I did not experience that.

The protagonist is super OP which in some cases I do enjoy. But like I said I was expecting to be scared, to have the mindset that he was going to die instead all I felt after the first arc was how awesome he is and that he is going to make it through.

I know the protagonist was going to survive but all I wanted was the tension of how he does.

In the first arc we get to see what happens to the protagonist when his mental value drops so there is no suspense there when it is used in the second arc.

I wish the author would have taken it slow in how the mental value affected the protagonist in each arc, as that would have brought great tension about his survival to readers. How each stage of the mental value drop affects him.

Another complain I have about this novel is the viewers. I get it the protagonist is awesome but for the viewers to continuously praise his intellect and to have contrast with jealous low level player is just meh. I really didn't appreciate it. But at least you can just skip those part.

You know, I have read novels that are with OP protagonist that I enjoy. I just came with the mentality of this one being different with all the reviews.

I was expecting horror, not a thriller novel with supernatural creatures because that's what this is. I am not a fan of action but I don't mind a bit of it here and there. But for it to be solely action and the plot or background of the game to be thought out by the protagonist without any clues being found and just on simple basis especially for the second arc is just disappointing for me.

I didn't feel the horror just the action. Sigh.

Please this review is not to be trusted as it only based on my feelings.

I will try to read further before planning on whether I should really drop it, but for now I don't think I want to read it in this mood as it would be biased against the novel.

After all my rant, the novel itself isn't bad. If you like action thriller with a hint of horror (supernatural creatures only), this might be for you. If I actually liked action thriller, then I would have definitely rated it 4/5 because like I said the novel itself isn't bad. <<less

Okay. Baffled me at times. ML rarely appears other than to make MC feel angsty and sad. Story gets real bland and writing gets rushed towards the end. Not gonna spoil much but goes downhill after rose factory arc.

I feel an indescribable emptiness now that I've finished this story. I will probably re-read it. The translation is bearable and the story is phenomenal. I want to engrave this novel on my soul. I don't know. I'm still crying from the last ten chapters BUT IT'S A HAPPY ENDING (it could be longer though. the fluff was my favorite part of the novel)

I also want to say about Tang Erda THAT HE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES, GIVE HIM A CHANCE. HE'S A GIANT TEDDY BEAR.

Note: I'm like 90% sure this story is Yaoi after reading like a hundred chapters in. Unfortunately it appears someone didn't put that tag.

So usually I avoid reading Yaoi stories but since I didn't see the tag when I jumped in I thought it was fine. Honestly this story is pretty fire. I'm always a fan of the regular dude becomes a gigachad when he gets put in his zone trope. In this case his zone is thinking on the fly in life/death situations. The Yaoi is so slow that... more>> for the longest time I thought it was just a strong friendship between homies. The first time the ML shows up,

I had presumed the MC to be fooling around and so when it actually happened I rationalized it being a one off joke. And then eventually as backstory gets revealed you realize that this is almost definitely Yaoi. But still a good story though. <<less

Side characters are well developed, MC has flaws and is very well written, ML (although appears less frequently in the first part, appears later a lot at the end), well written and is kinda possessive (?).

Plot is really good, has a amazing arcs and the monsters in it are quite nicely done in my opinion.

Main antagonist very likeable (by evil standards) and is written to be hated by readers, so in short, very excellent.

This novel is definitely more for people that have patience as theres a lot of chapters and each chapter has quite a lot of words. I'm actually not really a patient person myself but if you are like me I suggest reading until you can't really read anymore then have a rest or go read other novels and then come back because I personally think this novel shouldn't be missed out on.

About a certain character in the rose factory arc:

Spoiler

Tang Erda, I get it if you can't stand it anymore after reading the parts where he is in because I did so myself. I only got through the parts where he is in by bad-mouthing him the whole time ( ̄▽ ̄). He eventually joins the MC's team though and he also gets character development. After this arc, it will probably be better to read through.

[collapse]

About MC's and ML's backstory:

Spoiler

I personally really love these two. Whenever I read parts about their backstory, I feel the need to want to hug them and shower them with love. Especially the part in the clones (i forgot the arc name) arc. Bai Liu also said a line about if he himself is a monster and ML is a monster too then arent they a perfect match (forgot the exact line but this is basically the meaning though)

[collapse]

About the side characters:

Spoiler

MSC LJY MuKe (heck even TangErDa at some point too) etc I love them all without them this story wouldn't be how it is. the villains are... quite something as well. we have a psycho clown, a ?nun?, oh yeah and the queen of hearts I quite like her/his ahem (yes I was shocked to know this too) backstory with Bai 6

[collapse]

Also, at first I read the translated version but after that I started reading the raws (not through mtl as I understand mandarin) so I felt that some of the atmosphere that was portrayed in raws are a bit different in the translated version (probably because of the difference between languages) (not saying that the translator did a bad job they actually did a really really fantastic job!!i really appreciate them for translating this<3)

Extra:

Spoiler

about the author drama on jjwxc (if you have seen it, u know its crazy) in my opinion I think we should seperate the novel characters from the author but fr can they chill

I only write reviews for my top novels, and this one definitely deserves 5 stars. The plot is amazing, and with enough foreshadowing that it's easy to tell how much planning was put into the novel. But for me, the thing that stood out the most were the characters and their relationships. All the characters -main and side - had deeply engaging backstories that always made you feel connected to them in some way,

Queen's in particular destroyed me

and make you want the best for them, antagonist or not. The wandering circus holds a special place in my heart, no matter how many times

Spoiler

Tang Erda made me wanna rip my hair out at first. Liu Jiayi in particular was a favourite of mine, I have a soft spot for precocious kids.

[collapse]

Bai Liu... might actually be one of my favourite novel protagonists (dokja will forever take the cake, my favourite reader). He's so complex, and his past made it so easy for him to just become evil. The fact that he chooses to remain good (... legally) for the people around him. Just. Yeah, I can't even properly articulate my thoughts about him. Definitely the best morally gray protagonist I've read in a webnovel.

And the romance.. I actually loved it. The ML played a vital role in the story despite barely appearing early on, and is easily one of the MCs biggest driving forces.

Spoiler

Spades as an ML was definitely not what I'm used to, but I grew really fond of that damn lizard

[collapse]

As for their dynamic... I personally loved it all the way through, but I can understand why some people might not like it until the end.

Spoiler

The relationship wasn't exactly the healthiest, and there was definitely some codependency, but that doesn't take away from the story, rather it's very important to the plot.

[collapse]

10/10. would definitely recommend people give it a try and read past the 3rd arc - all the arcs are good, but that's when the overarching plot is introduced. <<less

It just became my top IF novel.

I appreciate the long arcs (30-50 chapters per arc) because they fully lay out the storyboard with lots of foreshadowing and the world building is really well done. I've read a few other IFs but none were as close to this. The relationships between the characters are so delicate. How all the puzzles fell into place was very well planned by the author. The author also used a few lines from famous poets/people which was nice, also her inspirations from Cthulu Mythos was pretty amazing. I think this is one of the IFs that made me cried the hardest.

Characters wise, MC Bai Liu is a morally grey character. Even so, seeing what he does will still make you like him. He's not perfect, but he's not a bad guy too.

I like how pure ML is, his reactions are sometimes really naive and adorable. However as ML is designated as a supporting role, his focus was not as big as MC.

The side characters were quite well developed, they had outstanding personalities and not just another character that was used to complement or act as a backdrop for the MC. I like how each of their background stories were elaborated so you get to know them better. You'd get really attached to them. There's a character Daniel whom I originally hate but sort of put down my hate towards him at the end so this was kinda surprising.

As usual, romance is slow burn that starts at around chapter 200+. The smut was well written without the explicit details but already takes the cake for an IF novel.

If I had to nitpick, I didn't like the ending. It felt a bit rushed and there's a point that wasn't explained well enough (not sure if it's because of my ability to understand) and the HE didn't give me a sense of "ahhh finally" kind of feeling.

Some of the arcs are quite memorable. I'll mention a few without spoiling.

Rose factory arc: The romance deepens, you get to know a bit more about their relationship. There's a few meaningful phrases from here that I really liked.

Frozen tundra arc: Broke my heart totally. The game's experiment on humans was very deep. What makes a human a human?

Haunted village arc: Had a heart wrenching story although it was initially pretty creepy. I enjoy the chinese horror setting with Maoshan Taoist magic involved.

Evil god festival arc: I think this is where the the co-relationship between the MC and ML clears up, very touching and painful arc.

Qiaomu Private High School: Most of the plot holes are filled up. There is a whole chunk of romance plot here. It's filled with love and friendship all put to test. Very touching arc.

Drowning person from the future: For this final arc I cried all the way to the end. I binged this arc and even though I knew this IF to have a HE, I still cried a river.

No regrets using one month and 1 litre of tears reading this novel.

MC is op in a way that is sort of ridiculous.
Spoiler

The ML in the first arc is made to seem like a world breaking problem. 1 hit is instant death for whole teams. But the MC gets hit by him and is fine?? He literally starts laughing. When his mental state is at 3 (you have hallucinations under 60 and go crazy under 20) he's just fine. He can still think and has the time to trick others no hallucinations in sight. He even goes down to 0.1 mental state when he should have died but you have to read the scene to know why it made so little sense.

[collapse]

The IQ of everyone goes down around MC
Spoiler

God Mu has two very expensive items stolen from him by the MC and keeps associating with this thieving stranger? He doesn't stay away from this guy who keeps tricking him (especially when he doesn't know HOW he's taking these things) and he instead follows MC into this really dangerous, suspicious instance. Why tho?

[collapse]
Also I don't like the MCs personality but I should've read the tags and seen evil protagonist so that's my fault. I'm not all that bothered by the spectators during the first arc because I mostly skimmed through what they were saying and it just didn't annoy me like others 🤷🏽‍♀️

I really don't understand why this is rated so highly. The main problems are contradictions, ass-pulls, and the absolute idiocy of all characters. There are plenty of contradictions with previously established things, such as the cost of a skill going from half of a current value to a flat 50 points, or something suddenly being restricted when it was clearly not previously. The most egregious one is the MC having 0 luck yet constantly being incredibly lucky.

That leads into the ass-pulls. The MC always ends up surviving because of some... more>> impossibly-lucky nonsense, and then it's treated as if he's a genius that planned it all out. He constantly makes huge assumptions with barely any evidence, and then magically he is always correct instead of the myriad other possibilities that fit just as well or better.

The evil protagonist tag is a lie as well, unless he changes later on. He can be somewhat ruthless, but he hasn't done a single evil thing yet.

It's not like it's unreadable (aside from the first arc spectator commentary, that was absolute cringe that I somewhat regret subjecting my eyes to), but it isn't nearly as good as I was expecting and I don't really have much desire to continue reading it. <<less

Chapter 85: 5/5

I think I'll wait for CG translation. The story is very good, not much of ML presence in current chapter. The MC is amazing! A morally grey protagonist. The instances duration is quite long though

Complete: 4/5

Okay, the arcs are good. Though, sometimes they're too long. There's not much ghostly horror but more like strange creature horror. I was deceived 😣. The plot on each arc is amazing, deep enough to be thought provoking. The character relationship is complicated. The only thing that I'm not satisfied with is the... more>> ending. For me personally, the ending is too perfect, too happy. I don't mind happy ending, but if the author decided to just pull off the reset ending, I feel unsatisfied. Character death is okay, but the author decided to erase that in the end. I feel that various characters development that happened during the whole novel was obsolete. The final crux is when the MC's gang finally remember the previous timeline. No, just no! I'll be happy if the one that remember is only Xie Ta. That would create a sense of absoluteness caused by isolation because only both of them that truly understand each other. <<less

I would literally die for Bai Liu.

Spoiler

Yes, he's absolutely unhinged, but he's so smart that it becomes super hard not to want to just bask in his presence. His intelligence helps to facilitate his money hungriness and, at this point, I say just hand over the dollars (yuan?). Every time he enters an instance there's no tension of 'will he or won't he make it out'. He will and he'll take every good thing/reward the system gives without a backward glance (as he should, absolute king).

Still, even though he's probably a sociopath, he's pretty good to the people around him even if he's just using them. It sends me the way they're willing to be used because he's so sure and steady all the time. It's a mood though. Even as a reader who KNOWS that he makes gambles on low chances, I get excited and fully believe in what he's saying every time he opens his mouth just to be slapped in the face with the fact that he's kinda just winging it based on like a 60% chance of success. It's fantastic!

The ML hasn't come up too much so far but the glimpses we've gotten of him gives me good vibes so I'm excited to meet him fully. I'm sure his interactions with Bai Liu will be fun.

Oh BTW, Xiao Bai Liu is at once the cutest and most annoying character I've had the pleasure of reading recently so have fun with that.

Wow. This novel is thrilling and had me on the edge of my seat. Many times I’m like how can he get out of this situation???!!! Then MC does something at the last millisecond out of the blue and you’re like phew thank god he’s safe. The plot of games are unique and fresh and I’m starting to like some of the side characters however ML (or whom I’m assuming is the ml) has only made a small appearance till now. MC is very intelligent and keeps finding ways... more>> to minimise expenditure coz he’s a miser haha.

One thing though, I feel like the author is kinda bad at time management. Like how, in dbz they’re like the planet will explode in 10 minutes But it actually explodes only after several episodes, in the novel the characters carry out useless conversations and action that logically wouldn’t fit the time frame. I’m like omg!! Stop talking!!! You dont have tiiiimmeee! But idk that’s just my anxiety talking I guess. <<less

I have never written a review for any novel before but this novel really deserves one. It was an unbelievable emotional rollercoaster and didn’t feel like your run-off-the-mill typical infinite flow.

The author had already made it clear that it was a more plot oriented story but I have to say, the romance wasn’t disappointing in the least. The MC and ML have such an interesting relationship that is so interesting to read and understand. Some moments will have you burst out laughing while others will tug at your heartstrings.

But again,... more>> the main thing about this story is the plot and let me tell you right now, it’s amazing. This book had me on a vice-grip for all the 500 plus chapters. It’s not just about getting the infinite flow to end. The story goes much deeper than that starting from the third arc.

While the translations do become a bit difficult to get through after chapter 230, I didn’t regret taking that effort to deal with the MTL because the story honestly had me obsessed by that point.

So don’t drop the novel without seeing what it actually has to offer (which should show up by the Rose factory arc).

Totally recommend. <<less

I don't generally write reviews, but reading some negative comments about this novel made me do it, because this is a really good book with a well thought out plot that should be recognized.

I have read more BL novels than I dare to admit, and few are the ones that made me cry, laugh and overall enjoy every part of it. But this book was one of them.

Since it's a very long book, the main plot isn't solved quickly and rather takes a long time before starts taking off. I... more>> started this book expecting a unlimited flow book, and it ended in a heartbreaking and beautiful story of love and a found family. By the end of the book, most of the dilemmas and plots makes sense and left me with a bittersweet taste. It's true isn't the typical book where everything will fit like a puzzle by chapter 100, but it's worth it. Patience is rewarded as you continue reading.

Probably the only negative parts (for me) are towards the ending and the relationship between the MC and the ML:

Spoiler

I feel like their relationship was deep, beautiful, but very overwhelming. Their fights were incredible painful and at some point, I was dying for them to just COMMUNICATE because they were causing each other much more pain than comfort. However, it's not completely a negative point as it's explained in the book that they are each others "souls" basically, so I can see WHY their love was so engraved in their beings and why everything seemed so dramatic (lol) when involved them.

[collapse]

Spoiler

And the ending made me so sad because nobody (except his found family and lover) remembered him after such sacrifice. Also, I wish that I could see a little more of them after they reunited. I loved he found his lover again, but with his team being a big part of the story, I wanted to see just a little more of them after everything was solved. But... oh well.

[collapse]

Everything said and done, it's a solid novel that was completely worth the time and effort. Don't let the length of it scared you, because I promise there is no regrets by the end of it. <<less

I never knew I would ever find a story that'll make me cry so much.. But here it is. It's a long journey for sure. So many unexpected twists and turns.. though, yes.. some of them are I only managed to figure out by some of the clues in the story. But.. wow. I was literally crying for almost 10 or more than chapters, nonstop. Basically like.. reading while crying. Even now I can't stop sniffling. I didn't expect this story to be that good. It's so complicated. I honestly... more>> just wanted to try this because I wanted to read a long novel. Cause I been wanting to read a new story. I never expected to find a gem though. A really beautiful one. This is the first story that made me cry so much. But I can't even pause the story to cry because it'll be like a cliffhanger if I just stop. Hence me crying and reading at the same time. I badly want to read more. Like.. for me.. it's honestly so, so good. I LOVE THIS STORY. Absolutely love it. The feelings I've experienced when reading this is what I yearned to experience whenever I read something. This is the first and the best. And that's something considering I've been reading lots of this for a years now. I know that a story can affect you emotionally. I did cry before to some stories but this... this takes the cherry on top. The crown, whatever. It was so crazy at parts. There are some parts that I wish ended differently. Some parts that I'm confused why it ended it did but somehow still made it make sense. It's just wow.. I've accidentally seen some reviews before.. saying it was kinda scary. And I thought.. really? That's my mind set on this one. But, no. Not scary at all. I'd say that story I've read.. Diary of a Psychopath.. is more scarier than this one. I love this one more. It's so beautiful done.. in my opinion, anyways. I guess I'm biased. I just absolutely love this story. I wish I could comment as I read but like.. I'm way too eager to read as well that I can't find myself to stop and comment. I am so focus on this one. Well, I do take a break, of course. I've been reading this since October 03.. it's already October 14 when I finished it.. The last one I've read before this.. I've read for almost a week. This one.. almost 2 weeks? Less than two weeks. And I think that makes it more enjoyable. Reading longer stories, especially well done stories is so enjoyable and fun. Like this one. Again.. I absolutely love this story.

Bai Lu and Xie Ta/Spades.. I love them. Mu Sicheng, Muke, Liu Jiayi, Tang Erda, Lu Yizhan and Fang Dian... I love them..

Spoiler

I did thought at one point that Xie Ta/Spades is like.. the center of everything? Like.. they are intricately connected with each other.. him and Bai Lu. It gave me the perception that.. in the end.. it will come down to the two lovers. But.. I never expected that it's much deeper than that. It's so crazy. And I love that there are some clues hidden at some points of the story. That there's basically foreshadowing in some of them.. or like how somethings that was said will be use for the future. They did a well done. They probably have a high score in the game if ever. I'd say the MVP would be Fang Dian though.. hmm.. then Bai Lu and Lu Yizhan. I guess sometimes.. cheating is good? 🤔

It's a good story and well written. I just feel like based on the reviews I didn't ENJOY it as much as I expected.

Plot: Our MC gets dragged into a horror game due to his excessive desire for money after being layed off. After a tumultuous first round he has to return to the game world at least once a week. Satisfied with rewards, that's no problem for our MC. He meets various people both inside and out the game. Characters

Bai Lu - money hungry, pragmatic, risk taker: Our MC. He's an antihero that as the story progresses continues to lean more to good. The narrative reiterates many times Bai Lu has the capacity to be completely evil and apathetic, but due to the current environmental supports from friends and others he restrains himself. We've seen from the parallel worlds that given different circumstances he would be a villain.

Lu Yizhan - intelligent, highly moral, kind: Bai Lu's childhood friend and the main reason he's not evil. Yizhan is like Bai Lu's father in a way. In the orphanage he took good care of BaiLu. He becomes a cop so he can better manage Bai Lu. Forced Bai Lu to go to therapy (although it didn't work, in Bai Lu's defense the therapist was doing a poor job).

Mu Sicheng - perceptive, loyal, college student: BaiLu's first victim comrade. He eventually trusts Bai Lu after some emotional manipulation combined with the pressure of the instance. He begins to genuinely trust Bai Lu and never turns back.

Mu Ke: - smart, obsessed, cry baby: He's initially very dependent on Bai Lu but is forced out of it. He's desperate for Bai Lu's approval and his world kind of revolves around Bai Lu.

Liu Jiayu - intelligent, suspicious, and independent: more or less Bai Lu's adopted daughter. She's also my favorite character. She's an 8 year old blind girl that thrived in the games even before Bai Lu. She's a brocon which causes her to make poor decisions she's eventually left in Bai Lu's care by her brother.

Er Kang (idr his name tbh) - decisive, powerful, traumatized: He gave the most trouble for Bai Lu to recruit like pulling for a 5 star character. He initially hated Bai Lu due to him traveling through time from parallel worlds. Currently still opening up to Bai Lu

Xie Ta/ Tawlin - powerful, accepting, chill: An inhuman creature that just being near him can drive someone insane. Loves Bai Lu and so far he mostly just follows Bai Lu's lead supporting him from behind as much as he is allowed.

Supporting Characters: There is a large cast of characters that is not confusing due to the being slowly introduced.

Pros: intriguing story with well thought out likeable characters. Few plotholes. Emotion provoking,

Cons: Bai Lu does have some plot armor. It slowly becomes a bit boring. I heard the ending is rushed. <<less

I finished this within two weeks—an absolute treasure of a novel.

Some of the arcs can be quite dragging, sometimes a little boring, which would be one of my only complaints.

Some reviewers mentioned that the ending was rushed; honestly, I agree. I think the lack of explanation and reunion made me feel unsatisfied with the epilogue. The author didn't explain thoroughly how Lu Yizhan and Fang Dian were able to remember Bai Liu and even the way the members of the Wandering Circus recalled their memories of Bai Liu felt rushed.

The characters were incredibly well-written, which I adore! I love how each of them was given a proper background and not just presented to us without any other information about them aside from what we see currently.

Spoiler

The revelation of Zhao Muchi and said character's background, especially why Hearts was obsessed with Spades was definitely a shock to me. While I did expect sometime after it was revealed that Bai Liu's desire was Xie Ta during a particular fight that Hearts wasn't as obsessed with Spades compared to what was initially presented, it was still surprising.

I loved Tang Erda's character development so much!

Spoiler

His reason for despising Bai Liu at first is definitely valid. I, too, would hate Bai Liu if Bai Six acted like that in the previous timelines. Who wouldn't? Bai Six literally tortured and mu*dered the person he's in love with and his teammates.

Him understanding that Bai Six and Bai Liu are different and therefore would not commit the same acts, led him to holding guilt over the time he tortured Bai Liu. He now holds an incredible amount of trust in Bai Liu which. Breaks my heart. Honestly. He loves protecting and spoiling Bai Liu.

And then the games. I do agree that the first few ones and the Rose Factory arc were the best. The ones after them... weren't bad, per se, but they lacked the hook that Rose Factory had. I liked Evil God Festival, Qiao Mu Private High School, and The Witch's Trials a lot.

Spoiler

Ice Age got more interesting towards the end, when Spades kinda killed Tawil. The other parts were boring to me. Dense Forest Frontier was only fun whenever Spades and Bai Liu interacted, especially when they got married. Yinshan Village was a total snoozefest, sorry. I love Mu Sicheng and Bai Liu's pair, even shipped them at first, but god was it boring. Five Buildings only got interesting when Wandering Circus from the other timeline appeared. The Lost Land of God was mostly interesting when they traveled back in time and whenever Mu Sicheng and Armand interacted.

clears throat.

The Feels.

I did not expect to be hit with that much emotional attack.

The tragedy of Bai Liu and ML, dude... they made me cry so much. I was sobbing in the middle of the night because of them. I hate them (lovingly).

Spoiler

special mention to chapter 463. what the hell was that????? spades feeling like he couldn't win against xie ta made my heart ache so much like that's my baby nooooooo.......

another special mention to armand and mu sicheng's relationship. I ship them a Lot. sorry to the author I can't help myself they're kinda crazy.

AND OF COURSE. the drowning man from the future. oh lawrdddd did I sob my eyes out the entire arc. bai liu was afraid to lose his teammates.... him drowning in the well of sinners..... daniel killing the rest of wandering circus..... tang erda telling cen buming that bai liu was innocent like oh my GODDDDDD

Overall despite its flaws (rushed ending and sometimes dragging arcs...) it's a really good story! The worldbuilding goes crazy with this one. <<less
