I give this a 3/5.

I really enjoyed the first half, which would have a much higher rating. A strong misunderstood character is a good concept. I loved the running around getting new powers, and having conflicts with other Lords. Unfortunately the second half is much worse. The involvment of demons and the hero/successor drags the story down (once he gets teleported to the abbey basically.) School arc is interesting, but out of place in this sort of novel. It reads more like the beginning of a thousand other stories.

Unfortunately the... more>> author has health issues, and had to rush through and finish the story, so many threads and plotlines get dropped as the author speedruns to completion. <<less

One thing I love about this novel is that unlike other similar novels, this novel doesn't have discrimination of women.

The novel was going really well untill the author decided to just rush through everything. This could have gone on for longer with more arcs in the academy phase, where the characters forge stronger bonds or something like that. It just feels bad that it could have been way better if the ending wasn't so rushed.

The group with Kaen could have had more time to go on adventures and for their... more>> development and a few characters potential to be involved more in the story was wasted.

But the world building and the general flow of the story were all pretty good at the start. It's worth reading just for that so 4 stars. <<less

The start is good and what's happening all around? You know the usual scenario before the player comes. I kind of like the adventure of getting this weird power like tr*sh of Count's family even if most of the time getting it is too easy.

Then sh*t happens. The 7th lord who is in the same group as the pinnacle in the verse, the one who can only be equal to king, emperor, hero, or overlord attends the school as a student!? And for what exactly?? To protect the heir or... more>> 'scheme'. I may be biased because I don't like this type of story where the MC attends school but attending a school when the story is at 75% done is weird, especially with what he accomplishes, status, and power.

While the arc is not that bad since there is no forced plot where bullying and rebellion happen at that time. The problem is more of what the people talking about. It's rushed and when it's rushed. They lose detail. The author really wants to end this badly. But it's still better than hiatus or getting dropped so yeah.

If you are wondering how fast and rushed the end is. Demon king awakened and killed in the span of less than 20 chapters. Demon King's actual fight did not even last 5 chapters.

Solid 3.8/5 <<less

As of now, I really enjoyed the novel. However, the writing is absolutely bland. The plot just rewinds itself over and over. Everything felt so forced. To be honest, As much as I hate to compare novels, but it felt like a poor copy of LCF.

Things I did not like about the novel:

  • Poor world building
    Spoiler

An example of this is The demon realm (i forgot the name) it was poorly explored an MC just kept explaining about mobs and shi

  • The characters.
    Spoiler

In the ending it was revealed that current MC has a predestined fate to follow, but the way he creates relationships with other characters is soooo forced that it gets tiring.

    [collapse]
  • Author's writing. Like its very noticeable even at the early chapters
    Spoiler

for example, the super regeneration, wdym ut can't heal your injuries after it literally healed you body in a matter of minutes😭

They leave A LOT plot holes in the ending. And another worth noting is that the way they write the arcs is frustrating. The author tries to spend 20 chapters explaining this character's pov just for them to not have any contribution to the story at all.
Well these are the only points I could remember. I would've rated this 2 stars however I did enjoy the 1st half of the story.

One of the few misunderstanding novels that are good. Novel starts off with transmigrating with an OP skill and nothing else. Even though it’s a strong skill it has limitations and the body is weak. This is a very good example of being strong yet weak. So far it’s fun reading the journey to get stronger and the interactions with the other characters.

I tried, I did.

The story is just too bland. It has zero depth to anything. It honestly feels like a summary of a novel instead of an actual novel.

It's not bad, quite enjoyable if you exclude some factors, considering that according to some info I read in a previous review, it seems like it was finished in a hurry due to the author's illness and it shows, however, it still didn't fall enough for me to drop it.

The MC, having an Op instant kill ability wasn't ridiculously overpowered, since he could easily be killed as well but... *sighs deeply* there are some parts I don't like, like the fact that there is absolutely no guy aside from the... more>> MC to simp for, sounds ridiculous but no one was there.

Literally, from NPCs to somewhat important characters, they are all women (don't get me wrong those ladies were lovely).

Oh wait, there is a guy, but that guy is... Yep, you guessed it, overshadowed by his companion or sibling who happens to be a... Yes, you guessed it again, a woman. It's not like there are no men who play a role; they're just either villains or someone who appears in the background to be forgotten. And don't get me wrong, more than half of the women who appear are like that too; they just play a certain role (villains in the mix) only to fade into the background over time (otherwise, it would seem like this novel was a harem trap...). But whenever the author decides that the MC needs to meet someone on his journey, that someone is 99% of the time a woman, and the remaining 1% is a woman accompanied by a man.

Anyway, you get the point. It's not bad, but with no guy for me to simp over, I feel like I'm losing my sh*t creating imaginary ones in my head... Ahem. Thankfully, the author didn't intend to make this into a harem trap; otherwise, I would have dropped it a long time ago.

Of course, since this novel doesn't rely much on human interaction, and synergy between characters is quite minimal, I can get over the fact there are no guys to simp for T-T. <<less

A wonderful and fun read with a rushed ending.

Don't let this stop you though! The characters and relationships are surprisingly fleshed out. This novel made me cry and laugh with the protagonist, especially the first few arcs.

Now don't continue if you haven't read it. (:

Spoiler

I really loved this misunderstanding comedy kind of story and the friends ron made during his travels to aquire the mystery. I wish we would have had the chance to meet them all again though. For example Scarlet, the shop owner or the vampire sisters and many more only appear briefly. I feel like the author prepared for something great only to rush the ending and as a consequence - miss many opportunities. If the author continued with the great qualitity of the beginning of the story, I feel like it would have slight tr*sh count vibes - meeting more and more companions, doing some politics, saving some people... so I'm really sad they rushed it. : (

Personally I feel like the story went downhill starting from the academy/successor arc. I enjoyed the mc's travels and his struggles with acting strong and doing what his morals tell him too while keeping a Lord's demeanor. But I feel like starting from the successor arc, this all loses meaning. We don't see him thinking that hard anymore to overcome his weakness - an interesting part of the story is taken from us. A lot of the comedy was also inspired by the MC pretending to be this cool overlord and finding himself in difficult dillemmas... taken from us too.

Another thing I loved about the MC was his acting as the cold Lord with a warm heart. In the first part of the novel I kept looking at the beautiful cover of him and I could really imagine him staring at someone and faking to be strong. It was very immersive. But from the academy arc on this immersion was broken, as he played house with kids. His whole personality crumbled. Where a lot of comedy could be placed (remember, he is a overworked adult in a school), they just took away what could have made it fun. For example they could have joked about him being awkward and not knowing how to interact with the students or smth like that because he is an ADULT. Maybe I was just expecting too much from the first part... and even after the academy arc when he gets his true form back, we only see him stressed out because of the demon invasion and none of his cold demeanor or any kind of characteristic which the author described so much in the first part appear again. It honestly feels like he just became a much more blander and boring person.

I also found it interesting, how the roommate of the young successor completely got forgotten somehow? Like, we all thought she would be the traitor but she just NEVER APPEARED AGAIN? Like OKAY? That's why you have to kill Leah (I have a love-hate relationship with that scene (, :) and make up some illogical last minute plot where Ron acts like he kills the girl's father who is now somehow the evil villain who suddenly wants to kill himself WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TO TALK TO RON??? Yeah... so the last part of the story was pretty unusual... and I think it's interesting but I have some beef with it.

Sorry for the rant. I just really loved the first part with all the comedy, the interactions and the great built up - was really excited for a nice ending : ( But I still love the novel and I think the concept of a weak human accidentally faking strength and then saving other people with his faking while also pretending to be cold is a very fun concept :D

Unfortunately, the second half of the story and ending were rushed due to unfortunate circumstances outside the author's control. Despite this, I can't rate it higher than 2 stars. While the first half was a solid 4 stars in terms of entertainment, a lot of aspects lacked logical coherence, particularly regarding the protagonist's powers, which felt increasingly, artificially constrained by the author as the story progressed. Furthermore, the ending was undeniably rushed, becoming progressively more so as it neared its conclusion. GOD, this story broke my heart AND DIDN’T MEND IT PROPERLY. I FREAKING HATE IT (as you can see by the 5 stars lol)

This story got my heart racing and got me so immersed. I love the world-building, love the MC, I love how each mystery unravels. There were some foreshadowing that didn’t pay off due to the rushed ending and it is making me sob. The potential this story had and how it could have been realized with a more fleshed-out ending 😭.

The vibe of this reminded me... more>> of Noblesse. It’s a bit of a slowburn in terms of revealing MC’s full potential. And most of the time, MC is like a side-character in other people’s stories, which charmed me to bits.

What I honestly love about this story is the abundance of good female characters. Whenever a female character is introduced. I am instantly wary and asking with a grimace, “What, is this going to be harem??” BUT NO. Author just offers awesome female characters with three-dimensional personalities and their own reasonable motivations and colorful backstories and not just cardboard cutouts. God, I love the author for that.

What I really don’t like about it boils down to the last parts because of its rushness. I can let go of everything else but I’m nitpicky about romantic subplots. And boy, the romantic subplots in this story are not very well-done, to say the least.

Still, while the ending is quite unsatisfactory, I enjoyed most of the story so I still recommend it to people who like plot-heavy reads with awesome characters. <<less

It's a good story and the characters are pretty interesting and good too.

The storyline progressed amazingly till the mid, but had a rushed ending. It couldn't be helped since the author was unable to do anything (coz of there health issues). But anyway, overall it was a good read.

It depends on individual and their taste in story and it's progress. If you think you should give it a read, then go ahead. Certainly it's not a bad ending book, but abruptly ending book without much explanation and many gaps... more>> that could have been filled.

I'm giving it a 5 ⭐, since I enjoyed the story and the overall progress.

Thankyou for your hard work author Sama and translator sama. I enjoyed the novel. <<less

Current Ch: 131

The novel itself is a bit straight forward, the main character is very overpowered, yet fragile, it is a really interesting journey to see how he deals with the situations where he could die in less in a second. I think 2 is too low of a rating, so I gave it a 3 as I personally enjoyed it, but there are a few drawbacks.

First of all, everything lines up too well. If there is something MC wants to do but for some reason can't, something magically happens... more>> that allows him to do what he wanted.

Spoiler: Example of this happening

Spoiler

For example, when he didn't want to recklessly enter the vampires forest, because it might be too dangerous, literally right after MC thinks that he should skip the forest, magically a cart in front of him is a s*ave trader gang with vampire s*aves he can use as an excuse to enter the forest. Like what? A bit too convenient.

[collapse]

I also think the length is a bit suspicious, I am on Ch 131/189, and I have absolutely no idea how the author is supposed to close out this story in 58 chapters...

Regardless of this, it was still an enjoyable read for me. The system of levels etc was really interesting and the powers were cool too. Solid 3/5 for me so far. <<less

I'm not very far into this novel, but it's very obvious it's not very good. I don't usually judge novels early this way, only when they mess up on the core elements that I consider to be make-or-break for a novel.

In this case, the author seems to be so inexperienced they don't even consider some of the most crucial plot points for a transmigration novel, and it really shows in the MC. For instance, Ron doesn't even think to consider the impact on the "fate" that he knows changing due... more>> to his massive and conspicuous interference. There is also no clear goal in his journey so far, nor even the reason for his transmigration, though it may be too early to tell for the latter.

The main character Ron is also a very unlikeable person. Ron isn't conventionally unlikeable, as in having coarse personality or being morally reprehensible, but he's unlikeable in the sense that he's not written well at all. For one, he is a massive hypocrite. Ron would go so far as to give out free gold coins, hundreds of it, because "I can't ignore these struggling people". I'm only 34 chapters in and already he's been going around face-slapping people and hiding his identity, as if he was written for the sole purpose of being cool.

I will continue to read and update if the novel gets any better. <<less

Messy.

As the novel goes on you'll slowly realize that the author has trouble planning ahead. The protagonist's OP powers slowly become powercrept. Characters that are not romance targets are one note or leave as quick as they are introduced, leaving you with very little to get invested in. The novel relies on the "lie detector" ability so that powerful characters give the MC more credit to ensure he overcomes conflicts he would of faced when he tries to convince them.

I'm leaving a review to remind myself where I left off... more>> and why I stopped. <<less

The story and the flow of event is pretty good, it's like combination of 'tr*sh of Count Family' and 'I became a Tyrant of defense game' but in a much shorter and simple way of story telling

The story is too fast-paced but that's also make it good to read for those looking for a light reading.

It would be better if there some side story that tell us bout how it goes after the war with demon end bcz there still something and some character that not involved much eventhough they... more>> can really give much impact to the story.

Spoiler
  • Like how Ben decide to just kill himself like that without even using the mystery, he clearly made plan to take others body beside Kaen
  • Or bout the witch that reside in the forest that not told much beside that she got some relationship with the Shadow
  • How Rigon with such talent that might even be better than the hero but not even he got any important role in the story beside become the reason to face against Sixth Lord
  • The Alkimas Store owner that come in the begining but play none important role later
  • Or like how the author make all those character feel indebted to the MC but not even mentioned how they gonna repaid it
  • not even how the MC explain to the hero regarding the death of Ben
  • even how the Overlord reaction after seeing how the the end she very much looking forward being ruined is not being told
    [collapse]
So my only complain is just that the story still got too much not explained

The translation is really great, thank you author and translator for the good work <<less

I'm not going to rate it simply because I don't think I've read enough, but I have an opinion.

At first, I found it quite interesting. I like misunderstanding-based novels, but not all of them are good. From what I've read so far, it's fairly decent. My problem is with the female characters. I don't know if the author has something against male characters who aren't the protagonist, but it seems like all the new characters are women. And although some male characters have appeared, they don't leave as much of... more>> an impression on me as the female ones. It makes me feel like this is going to turn into a harem, and I've checked the tags several times trying to confirm it.

I don't usually read this kind of story, but I picked it up because it was recommended as a novel similar to TCF. While it does have a bit of TCF's vibe, with a protagonist seeking power to protect himself due to his weakness and the misunderstandings surrounding him, I feel like the world-building isn't really to my liking. It feels quite flat. But don't take my word for it—maybe I just haven't read far enough. <<less

I don't understand the high praise for this novel. The plot, main character, and supporting cast are all quite mundane. The writing and pacing are poor, and I'm unsure if I want to continue reading.

The main character is reincarnated into a game world and receives the Instant Kill ability, which only works if he has direct contact with his target. Despite its apparent usefulness, the protagonist is incredibly dull. Claims that he uses wit and strategy are misleading—everything happens conveniently for him.

The novel is riddled with... more>> plot holes. For instance, why do his mysteries work flawlessly against opponents, while others' mysteries seem to have loopholes when facing him?

The writing is lackluster, with minimal dialogue. The narrative is almost entirely from the protagonist's perspective, and he simply describes what's happening rather than showing it. Additionally, the pacing is erratic, jumping from months to years with little to no progression. The academy arc, in particular, feels pointless, as the protagonist doesn't seem to put in any real effort—likely a consequence of the poor writing.

P.S.

I finished the novel. It was definitely rushed and so much plots unanswered. Anyway, I don't know which is real the work being stolen or the author getting sick (hope they are better now) but there was premise here. I just hope someone picks it up give it a major up do. <<less

It’s ok for wasting time. I don’t regret it and enjoyed it moderately. But it suddenly started feeling rly rushed even though a lot of time was spent in the school arc making it feel slice of life almost. But all of a sudden it all became pointless. It is rather unfortunate how the story ended. There was so many things that needed to be tied up but ultimately, never had been explored.

It was fun, comedic incidents that led to circumstances he was forced to endure. I do prefer OP tropes where one is often misunderstood.

This story was rushed and you can really tell once you are past the 100th chapter or a bit earlier. But the momentum change of the story was off-putting and subplots and characters were dropped like rocks.

Spoiler

The shoe-in part where there was another version of himself with divinity and looping time. It's awful. The explanation is rather poor attempt at tying the story together.

Lingering stuff like what happens to Rigon, the last favour from the Overlord, the confrontation of Ran, and much more other problems. I would have love to see them through.

And no side stories to venture more on the topic.

[collapse]

But even with all the complaints, if I read it all to the end, it just means it was good enough to keep my attention, and enough entertainment for the ride.

It's good, but so rushed, it feels like it was worth nothing. <<less

It's started ok-ish, but sure as a clock it has plunged into a steaming pile of garbage soon enough.

The MC and his powers framework is lamer the further it goes, the idiotic cartoonish "game/world" setup of "heros, heirs and demon seeds" really stinks with the MC motivation is a greater good here as "piece on the continent".

A lot of words/water wandering around spliced with clichees.
