It's alright. Considering the author (allegedly) is ill I'm glad at least we had a proper ending.

Solid start and the world is definitely amazing. But alas, it was rushed but I dont think it was that bad. It's good for what it was. With such a goofy title I'm surprised people had high expectations for a novel like this. It's not that deep y'all. I saw many people complain about the academy arc but I actually enjoyed it more than the usual stuff idk

The first half was honestly good, I like that there's appropiate detail and neccesasry time skip is good. The writing is straight forward and even though I feel like it's good, it left me unsatisfied as well. Maybe lacking some build up? There is many novel with grandiose build up and mediocore core point, but this one is contrawise lol. I think the stories can be progressed further as this novel really have the potential but is a pity, and the plot twist at the end was honestly explain quite... more>> a lot too, fulfilling the question from the beginning but still the execution was a bit bland and kinda forced. Overall, IMHO I enjoy it, it's heavy content but light reading. Maybe some may find it's boring or not satisfied but well it's quite a good story <<less

Actually really a pretty nice read, it's not ambitious and go to the essential (most of the time) and don't go in too much extra chapters on secondary characters you don't give a sh*t (it happens, but it's really light). I won't say it's original, but it's fairly well written. The MC has none of the annoying tropes that usually make you cringe.

Two notes I would make are the fact that you some times feel that the author regretted the power he gave the MC and found every plot armor... more>> reasons for his adversaries to nerf him. And in thie same spirit, you feel that the author wrapped up the story in the end because he wanted to write another story and got bored with this one. <<less

Honestly, I quite like it in the beginning. But as I read, the plot keeps getting forced and forced. Too many "accidents/coincidences" card used in every arc. The way author writes make it feels like every meeting is not important eventho some should be. And for some reason most of new character MC met was female, for no reason at all.

There are too many unimportant things explained, and too many interesting things left unexplored.

Overall an ok read if you just turn off your brain.

The story starts relatively similar to what you would expect. Usual misunderstandings, OP skill and shenanigans.

The delivery is somewhat all over the place, with way too much time being spent on certain character arcs and not enough spent on others.

The quality of the story goes up around the middle and peaks well before the end. I slightly wish I had dropped the story at a certain point where I felt satisfied. Why? Because you can feel that somehow the story was either asked to be finished, or the author just... more>> ran out of desire to write the story.

The ending arc is disappointing, the ending itself is terrible as a payoff for all that was setup.

Would recommend reading this, but drop the story when a significant time skip occurs. It's not worth it afterwards. <<less

An interesting story with the instant kill ability.

The only main problem was the way things were wrapped up towards the end. There was a sudden time skip after a major event, right to another major event before ending.

The explanation given for everything that happened in the story was pretty out there. But hey, at least there was an explanation, and from the looks of it, it wasn't just pulled out of nowhere and had some planning behind it.

All in all, it was fairly enjoyable at the start, kinda went downhill... more>> a bit towards the end. You could kinda tell things were ending soon at a point. Ending was a bit disappointing though.

But it was alright overall I guess... <<less

World building was pretty good and the start was excellent. The writing was methodical and interesting with the only setbacks being a few overly predictable contrivances used and then never seen again

E.g:

Spoiler
    • He luckily gets a special ability within the blood manipulation arts (controlling other vampires blood arts) seemingly just for the fight against the 6th lord with it quickly becoming insignificant.
    • He gets the mystery from the library that allows him to temporarily use another's ability. He then uses it in the next battle and that's the end of it. It just seemed as if some situations were only written to specifically give an easy solution to battles: it was very predictable.
[collapse]

It wasn't majorly off-putting but the biggest disappointment was the ending. I don't blame the author as it seems as if the rush was not in their control (possibly health issues?).

If you read the novel you'll see how the author wonderfully sets themselves up for a lot more detail with good world building and a lot of potential within plot.

Overall it's worth the read for the journey and excitement of some moments, but just brace yourself for the ending. Don't have too high expectations and just try to be understanding and you'll enjoy the novel.

The instant kill ability was so satisfying. I like how it was not weak but no insanely overpowered. The author was realistic in the sense that once he arrived in the world

Spoiler

realistically he was incredibly weak. He was just a normal human with a insane skill but does not have superhumans speed or strength or any magic. Many people could have killed him but he was smart in progressing.

Started Off as a great novel. Had a lot to explore, but supposedly the author had a major health problem and the Ending was severely rushed. Lots of plot points and characters left out.

Basically they went from world building with no major plots to Ending everything within 30 chapters

The novel did a really good job at showing and expanding on the world that the protagonist enters. You get to see a lot of different places and it really shows the author's passion for world design. The characters were also well crafted and felt like real people instead of tropes that were copy pasted. The conclusion was emotionally heavy but the author seemed slightly rushed with the need to both reveal new parts of the world and also finish the novel. Overall, I think this is worth reading.

This is a very easy novel, in the sense that it's easy to guess what's going to happen next. Super powerful MC who doesn't have to face many losses, and wins almost every time. Nothing hard, through the story is interesting either way, and the other characters are too. I hope the author tells us more about the other lords...

Im at chapter166, so I really think that it is fun, entertaining, and slighty addictive. It has its own strong points and weak points, sometimes annoying how the author hust forget somenof his abilities and then remember. It's so frustrating and yet, im having fun and still want to read the next translator update.

So far it's kinda interesting but yeah there's some parts that I kinda felt disappointed like how the MC despite knowing he has talent for magic and swordmanship didn't even tried to honed it to boost his strength, everyone who read novel can understand the word basic but the MC is either reluctant or doesn't know the word basic learning of magic.

I enjoyed this novel in the beginning and even halfway. But the ending was awful. I don't know if the author just ran out of time or something but many storylines and characters just disappeared. There was a lot of potential for character backgrounds but everything was just thrown into a pot. Sucks but in the end, it is a light novel. It was very good compared to everything else... but that just makes it all the more disappointing.

The novel is a good read up to chapter 109. The novel contains powers called mysteries that are can be discovered and are sometimes very strange, much like tr*sh of a Count’s family powers. However, a later arc of the novel changes to a new setting which while initially fresh, does get stale by chapter 150 as the protagonist takes on a less active role and just guides situations of others. Overall it is a good novel with dungeons, magic powers, demons and politics. Though not the best at any... more>> specific story arc setting, not the worst either. Therefore, 4 stars. It should really be double the length as the world building and characters allow for much more, so if the Author ever rewrote it as a three or four part novel series it could be a 5 star. <<less

One of my favorite novels read to date. While this is a story where fighting is integral to the plot, the battle scenes are pretty short with plot progression taking up the bulk of the story. Some may not like this novel style, but if you are looking for something where the MC is cunning, hard to kill, acts cold but still has emotions, and only has one romantic interest, this might just be for you.

The start was really interesting. MC was so weak but has a cheat skill. He travels around to get mysteries (power ups). There were boring parts. I'm not sure how this would end so we'll see.

Very good novel in my opinion!

If I have to describe this Novel, I'd say it's a Mix of Overlord, The Eminence In Shadow & tr*sh of the Count's Family. Especially in the 'Misunderstanding' trope that all 3 Novels utilized greatly. The MC while OP, is also VERY WEAK! (you'll find out what I mean when you read). So the MC will more than once bluff his way out of a situation (Much like how Ainz and Cid would), He's powers are strong, but somewhat limited... and situational? (like Cale's ancient powers), He also have to Keep up a strong Image of Himself in front of his subordinates and fellow lords (Like Ainz towards his floor guardians)

He have one skill that I love, Soul of the King.... more>>
Spoiler

This renders him immune to all mental attacks and forces him to be calm in the face of danger (even when his body gets terribly damaged, he will stay rational and can think calmly)

[collapse]
which reminds me of Monarch's Indifference skill in Author's POV. I'd say this skill single-handedly carried the MC through every ordeal lmao! Sure the Instant Kill is there but this skill really made the MC's actions and reactions to situations very entertaining in my opinion.

Spoiler

The world the MC was transmigrated into, is the game he was last playing.. an mmo called RaSa, and the World was 5 years prior to when the game starts, So the MC will know alot of Characters, Ability locations, and Events that will take place. The MC luckily don't seem to care whether he alters the game's storyline.

[collapse]

The side characters are properly developed, in fact, one side character, in particular, gets a good amount of character development while accompanying the MC.

So far, No romance... which Is great, since romance tend to ruin a novel's flow when not properly introduced

Overall, this novel is a MustRead, if you like Overlord, tr*sh of the Count's Family, or The Eminence in Shadow.. as this novel is somewhat similar to those 3 in essence! <<less

Good novel.

A great Misunderstanding story similar to the tr*sh of the Count's Family.

I only gave it 4 stars because of two things:

  • Lacking a complete ending, the ending feels forced, leaving a sour taste.
  • Weak interactions, the characters are not explored nearly enough.
Other than that, everything else is perfect. Give it a try and read the first 10 chapters.

I saw some people hating on this novel so I came to read a little, and honestly, it's good, misunderstanding novels are good to read, funny even, I recommend it if you are into that, some people were saying romance on this novel sucks, but I don't see the romance tag on the genre (take this with a grain of salt since this is not fully translated, as story goes on this could be changed). That's really all to it, all in all, recommend it for anyone willing to try... more>> out <<less

Originally, I like the plot, but it is starting to feel too boring when it reaches a certain level of overbearing competitiveness.

Spoiler

The story is starting moved away from the Academy too much, lol.

The MC is fortunate human being. Bless with Op powers and beginner's luck.

Well. He is turning into a character of novel's extra or the Solo Leveling hunter. Feel so tired to read a generic pattern.

[collapse]

Anyways, the MC here is good. Im pretty sure some people loves strong and handsome characters, lol.

Recommended.
