Very light hearted and wholesome read. No dramas.

Just two childhood friends growing up together and later on falling in love.

They are actually super cute and innocent.

Easy and quick read, 4 stars because it lacks depth and is just really simple slice of life.

Coming of age

you really are with them from kids to teens and the feeling of innocence and youth permeate throughout. Also the feeling of not wanting to grow up and leaving simple happy childhood to the large complex adult world and currently I feel like I’m going through that as well so it is quite realistic

retired so early, even tho It's all bc health reason im still mad at the author lol. She could be brighter and shining even more as the world champ or sum 😭 I love to read her journey as athlete, I love it so much, so I can bear reading her retired like this 😔

FL - she's ur typicall bubbly fun girl, she's ur rainbow type of FLs. She will not make u frustrated even tho she's kinda— too innocent lol. She's straight forward with her feelings, honest and yes. She's the epitome of positivity. 5/5

ML - well he's another common typicall CN male leads, stoic, cold, big brain, super dotting well anw he's your CEO type of MLs 💀 nothing new honestly. But as always I will drawn to this type of MLs. 5/5

A scheme by the Doctor who treated him as a child. As a child the ML was ill and the Doctor treated him. I think the Dr got greedy then and started to weaken the ML just to get money and eventually came up with a kidnapping plan and a plan to kill off the ML. The author doesn't explain much on the illness but even the parents doesn't know what illness the ML has, just that he gets a lot of headaches and often feels weak. I think the Doctor gives him meds to feel that way and once he was off the meds, he is instantly healthy.

Later on, they continue to be together through thick and thin. It's really adorable with no drama. The personalities of the FL and ML is great. FL's best friend is also so cute and I wish I could read more on her romance story! <<less

I feel like you have to be in a specific mood to like this story. Like you’re tired of angst and just want something easy-going and light and fluffy. I’m not in this kind of mood so I decided to drop it. I don’t have anything against fluff and stuff like that but I feel like it’s just too fluffy?? This story so far is pretty flat, nothings really happening. If you’re like me, I would recommend just reading until she moves out. It stopped being interesting to me afterward.

If you want to read something light hearted, full of fluff and innocently heartwarming, this story is for you!! It's like your ideal type of first love minus the second leads... most of the conflict are internal struggles or realization on the part of the lead characters. Overall, if you want something fun to read without the complications, this is a good one!

A very super sweet romantic story between childhood sweethearts, Yu Jing Xuan and Lin Miao who were brought together by fate as they share the same birthdate.

Love reading the relationship between Yu Jing Xuan and Lin Miao from childhood to present time. Everything is just so pure and sweet about them. Yu Jing Xuan and Lin Miao are meant to be for each other as there are no dramas, no misunderstandings, nothing bad at all in their loving relationship.

This was so fluffy and adorable. It was extremely entertaining and cute. Although there aren’t a lot of plot twists or anything like that it’s really steady and lovable. I love both the FL and the ML. Totally recommend it if you like cute romance slice of life

Le sigh~ What a journey, reading novels that started from their childhood to adulthood always made me feel like I grew up with them. Their story is so wholesome and just satisfying to read. Theres not much conflicts but I think the author focuses more on the sweetness of youth rather than linger on the hopelessness which what I really need in this times since I'm riddled with anxiety and sadness. I love their story.

P.s I did kinda hoped for a brother Shuishui's little bro extra. I want to... more>> know what direction he chose 🙏 <<less

What I liked:

    • FL and ML are likeable.
    • I like how ML's mother character developed. I disliked her in the beginning but grew to like her later on.
    • There are no brain-dead and overly annoying antagonists like in your usual CN novel.
    • Cute and fluffy. Made me wish I had a childhood friendship like theirs too.

      As this story started from when FL and ML were eight until they had their first child, I think I like the first half better than the latter parts. But it's overall cute. There was this nostalgic note that I felt when recalling their childhood.

What I disliked:

    • This is very minor and maybe just me but in the translated chapters (until c67 as of writing) the ML was mostly addressed as 'Young Master' and 'Gege' and 'Little Yu' that I cannot recall his first name even just right after binge-reading this lol. His name was mentioned tho, but rarely.
    • The latter chapters felt like time skip after time skip to me. The ending was a bit underwhelming as well.
Overall, this is a good read for me.

I'm a passive reader, and I rarely post reviews. I was reading this novel with the feeling of smooth chocolate melting in my mouth, so sweet. I loved it and then when FL asked ML whether he'd join entertainment industry as his mom (who is a renowned actress) made him act in a movie, and that movie made him super famous, people started speculating whether he'd join as well... and when our FL asked this our ML's reply had mentioned feeling my heart being squished like a cotton candy...

Such a fluffy and cute novel, I love Shuishui. The male lead is fine too, I liked that there wasn't any drama when they got together. Super wholesome read, highly recommend.

Brother Shui is so innocent yet not completely naive. I love the dynamics of their relationship. Just the right amount of give and take. All the characters were great... I want more side stories!!

Great character growth and a fluffy story. I binge read it in a day. I do not regret it. Now I can sleep for many hours to catch up lol.

The ML is also so precious. Their family nd friends are so sweet too. Aaah I love them all.

This was a smooth read but the tension fizzles out once the character trajectories are set. The extra for the best-friend character is super cute, so don’t skip it.

This was a heartwarming novel. First few chapters were complicated especially ML's health/family issues and FL "working" for them. But after all were solved, the plot was full of fluffiness and seeing both leads growing up.

I really like the relationship of leads, they trust and understood each other without complications + no obstable on transitioning from friendship to lovers.

I love FL (Lin Miao) and ML (Yu Jingxuan). FL good combination of kind, cool-headed & innocence but streetwise... while ML is intelligent, mature and supportive. Furthermore, I also like supporting characters... more>> esp both mothers.

Also, I find the writing of author interesting and added to charm of novel. It potrayed the youthful innocence of leads. Like how ML's labelled as "Young Master" when they were young... then changed to "Yu Jingxuan" when FL started to develop romantic feelings lol

... but one of the cons:

ML's sickness was not explain. He just suddenly got good health. Summary/synopsis just added on assumptions abt his life expectancy

The most heartwarming and sweetest novel I've fortunately read. Our MC Shui Shui was so endearing, hardworking, optimistic and loveable. She deserved all the love and blessings she got from the people who appreciated her character. Also our ML Young Master Yu was so dedicated and loving. He was with our Shui Shui every step of the way. Last but not the least, the other characters specially both parents added flavour to this delightful novel. They were good and supportive parents and it was such a delight to read the... more>> novel because of how spontaneous and genuine the characters were.

A nice fairy tale. Of course it's full of standard cnovel tropes (the leads are all superhumans) but somehow I didn't find them as annoying as usual. Probably because the protagonists are also shown as normal people in their usual environments and with every day problems.

I found the character development, especially of the FL, to be a strong point.

Other than that, it's all endless fluff with almost no drama. Although it addresses a few very difficult topics seldom brought up in cnovels, concerning the crass inequality in gender treatment and... more>> the tough life in rural areas. <<less
