I see a lot of people pity Qin Zheng because he's not got together with Yu Qinghuang and thus heartbroken. But, I am not. If he want to confess to YQH, then do it. YQH already got together with Huo Qu anyway haha. Oh yes don't worry it's not dog blood at all and not a triangle love story so no worries haha.

In chapter 214-215, we got to know whar happened after Yu Qinghuan death. Huo Qu's confusion about what he's feeling for Qinghuan is really sad: (he doesn't know what feeling regret and sorrow is. One day, Qin Zheng got angry when he know Qinghuan died because he saved Huo Qu so in his muddleheaded and angry state he confront Huo Qu. He's babbling and asking but HQ didn't respon. Thus, QZ becomes more angry and throwing HQ is the street alone. Then, in the next day, Huo Qu is found dead by car accident.

I HATE QIN ZHENG SO DAMN MUCH OMFG. Okay you sad because your beloved is dead and you didn'teven have time to confess your feeling to him before he's disappeared from this world forever. But you think blaming HQ for this is right? I'm really angry. Imagine how sad and confused HQ is when he got confronted by Qin Zheng, then suddenly died like that?

The fact that in the past, Huo Qu is dying alone in the road, in his confusion and sorrow. He was dead just like that. Just because Qin Zheng is angry!! GOD DAMMIT!

Why would you guys pity Qin Zheng. Imo, if he got heartbroken, then it's his fault for not confessing to Yu Qinghuan when he was alive (remember im still talking about the past life). Okay he's scared that he will ruin their friendship and all, but don't you know love is taking a risk? If you want to be lovers then take the risk! If you don't then just do nothing until you regret.

It's super cringe that readers are infantilizing Huo Qi. That was the whole issue with his family. He's an adult, and he's allowed to develop. He is not a child. He is allowed to recognize romantic attachment and s*xual feelings. You are all absolutely deranged if you think such reductive erasure is allyship. I sincerely hope all of your autistic friends and family are able to protect themselves from your ignorance and pretension. Huo Qi is very realistic. Some of us actually ARE adult savants of technical genius level IQ who *still* experienced developmental delays, and who find your ambiguity and lack of clarity in speech to be muddling and useless. You're lucky the author didn't write him finding the implications and speaking in circles to be obnoxious and frustrating, because I guarantee that's the way you make us feel constantly. Stop treating us like infants. At least treat us like ordinary children, who are people that can be spoken with and who can learn new things if we are actually TAUGHT them. A thirty year old man who struggles with fine motor coordination and cutlery is still able to know that he wants to have s*x with someone he is attracted to. Would you insist on defining him by solely his disability and claim it's unrealistic for wheelchair-users to f*ck? My god. Smdh. We're more than just vessels of ret*rdation, despite what some reviews seem to believe. Anyway.

The author consciously shows us how our protagonist is able to tell him things, trusting that he can learn, and this makes his life richer by being able to connect with others.

And Huo Qi also helps in return! His single-minded trust is consistently healing to a sheltered and lonely heart who drives himself to hard to remain untouchable and strong. Making yourself vulnerable is the scariest part of caring for other people. Having someone who will run to your side and offer wordless safety and comfort when you trigger your own PTSD panic attack, but who inspires you to face that burden you've carried nonetheless? Priceless.

I did find they didn't communicate about Yu Qinghuan's stubborn and mischievous side, prone to rhetorical questions, and Huo Qi's literal-minded responses. As an autist with two autistic roommates, we answer each other literally A LOT. We always end up having to clarify for each other if we were joking, being sarcastic, being rhetorical, just complaining, or truly seeking answers. It feels as though that would have followed naturally in this story. Part of Huo Qi's struggle is always guessing at what people are trying to accomplish with an interaction, so it would have been nice to see a moment dedicated to the importance of purpose in conversations.

He is my son, he is sweet and terribly moe and perfect just the way he is. He can remain himself and others can just meet him where he is. Put forth more effort to understand him. Be more logical, er-ge! Then you'll get through!

Reading about the Gong is so painful to me. Is an adult like him actually exist out there? He's a genius on science field so I think he's a Thinker person. Yes, a Thinker person has this deep logical mind where they can be clueless of common daily life activities.

So it kind of annoy me how his family pamper him so much that he can't even cross road? Use chopstick (what? Do they hand-feed him?). How to use the phone properly even though he's in science field?? Whattt???

But, oh hey, he's a professor and teaches college student. How awesome is that?

The character I relate to the most in this novel is not the main character or the side character. It's actually the minor side character.. The Huo's mother and father.. Because I too, am a parent of a special boy (although he's not as amazing as HQ)..

That is why I can relate to their distress when HQ is missing or when they found out that he likes other man.

I hope.. Someday a miracle also happen to my boy.. That he will meet someone special that can take him out of his own world and loves him for who he is..

The setting of father Huo is a politician, but his action is very rational and mature, I hope I can be that kind of parents for my boy (even though I kind of feels like I'll be more like mama Huo)
