The Soaring Dragon Continent is a world of summons, where you can only become strong if you become a summoner!

Yue Yang, an average high school boy, was suddenly kicked into this world. When he woke up, he was greeted with a lot of worried faces and found out that he had assumed another person’s identity. Turns out he’s the good-for-nothing third son of the Yue Family, who had just recently drowned himself because of a failed engagement.

Unlike the third son of the Yue Family who was useless in summoning, Yue Yang succeeded in making a contract with a summoning grimoire on his first try, even when the other guy failed for the past fifteen years. Others would have a headache making contracts with beasts afterwards, but countless beasts tried to gain favour with Yue Yang instead, acting like a good kid before him.

Yue Yang the brat, however, didn’t feel grateful at all: “Scram, Mythical Beasts! Do you think you are cool like that? Go away from me now, I only like beautiful summons!”

Even when royal families approached him for his talents, the shameless brat replied, “I’m not interested in government stuff, I’m only interested in beauties!”

So good. That's all I can say. I love the MC's pe*verted antics, badassery, and the underlying mystery of who-the-heck-is-he-really. Some others may not say it's the best, but it's a really enjoyable read - fun and interesting all around and it has some really great characters (and masochistic c*ckroach wolf/dogs). Among all the multitude novels out there (though there's still not enough!), this is definitely in my daily-check-for-updates reading list. Really like the translator too - they are very consistent with high speed and high quality translations.

If I were to describe this novel, it would be like Japanese (summoned to another world) LN with a xianxia male lead instead of the normal dull (borderline ret*rd), childish, awkward, indecisive, blushing and scared of women virg*n, but at same time super op and powerful beta male leads that the Japanese seems to love above all else. Not a bad concept per se and a decent read if you have nothing else to do. Way better than most crap the you'll find in Japanese LN harem series at least.... more>> The cultivation method of capturing (gotta catch them all) and then summoning beasts from a grimoire combined with common cultivation is both interesting and quite well done, well the summoning beasts part is at least. The plot, story and writing is standard and cliched with the usual tropes and pitfalls of the genre. The world building isn't half bad actually and at least some of the the women are just not there for the sole purpose of looking good, well they all look good of course. This being a harem series after all, so all the mc's summons we've seen so far are good looking women (aside from one). Unfortunately the MC is way to powerful from the start and keeps gaining more and more power way to easily, which destroys any sort of suspense. The women all seem to fall for the MC just because he is the MC, which is the main flaw of 99.9% of harem series imo. The comedy is not bad at times, but as a whole, the novel just doesn't stand out in any unique way. Still better than most of it's Japanese equivalents though. A decent way to pass time, no more or less. <<less

The story started off amazing. Summoning monsters idea was great. The innates are acceptable, and so is the harem to a certain degree. The le*dness of the MC is still tolerable.

If you hate stories where an overpowered hero hides his powers to the point of annoyance, this is not for you.

If you hate stories where the MC lies about the simplest things to the point of annoyance, this story is not for you.

Even though most of the things that happen are decently thought out, I still can't stand those 2... more>> points. The MC hides things more than a DC comic her, and hides himself as much as Saito in Death March. Sure, both Saito and this MC stop doing those things. But by the time they do, you're 700 chapters (14 books) in and already to sick of this sh*t to care anymore. <<less

This novel... there are too many things I dislike, and a few things that I do like. Allow me to summarize the bad part first:

The author explains alot of stuff in the novel. Do not get me wrong, a decent background check for particular events are important, but this author seems like he has to explain every fkin tree branch with the length of 1/4 chapter for every tiny situation. And the issue is, these explanations are so unbelieveably useless cause u dont get to see the explained characters/situations later... more>> on anyways, so I dont get the point. Useless long explanations with a certain feeling of them being fillers.

2. The harem is written quite annoyingly, the author focused on making the MC super pe*verted but when it comes to action, he always has some god given excuse why he cant go further. Sometimes the because some of the girls might dislike it, or his snake "daughter" sees it, or what other sht the author pulled off. The thing is, these things might not be bad, but the author made the MC so lustful that he is talking about ravaging this and ***** that every second sentence, just to give bullsht excuses to not do so at the end. Stick to it author, either this or that, u cant have it half heartly both ways.

3. The pacing...u just dont get a rest...a situation after situation after situation. Its rly tiring and in these moments, even tho I rly hate those, I miss these beach bikini episodes in japs animes to be a filler. Cause atleast u get a fkin rest. There is no rest here, itd a drama after a drama after another drama.

4. Last point: Secretsin the story.... there are alot of them... and the author doesnt explain them properly which can rly annoy one cause he immediately switches to the next secret without even explaining on the issues previously.

Good point: The MC is quite ruthless, maaaa ni*ga.

All in all, hf reading it, u will notice these issues aswell <<less

Recommended to anyone who can stand an MC who tries to make a joke out of everything and being le*d at every woman/female possible. He is a great guy at heart but seriously all that jokes and that names for his summons. Also to anyone who enjoys ATG, MGS, MGA, and any other novels similar to those.

The synopsis is nothing like the actual story. The first 5 sentences are true, the rest is a joke.

I wanted to stop reading after the 700th chapter, but decided to continue until the end anyway since IO'm almost halfway there. Too much weird jokes/lies by the MC, too le*d MC, too trusting MC friends, too loving MC waifus, too OP MC summons and the fact that I finished reading and still unable to understand the whole backstory of everything that happen. Who the heck is that old monk floating in the air at the beginning of the story?

The story honestly had great potential. A summoning grimoire and an OP MC, what could go wrong? Everything the author decided is funny (some are funny but the rest is not). Needs a 15/18 PG rating. He did turn the story a bit serious in the latter half, still with bits and pieces of his jokes around.

Author have a few other novels of similar names, most starts with Long Live. Hopefully I get some time to read them since theres quite a few.

Enjoyed the first hundred or so chapters. It was nice when he had that whole trying to keep things a secret thing going on but after some time he just casually goes about revealing most of his secrets without any care. And the way his harem is coming together is weird, its just too sudden that all of they accept him and each other and it just feels out of place like some critical development was missing to reach that place.

The combat style and all aldo feels a bit awkward... more>> at times. Anyway, would recommend as just a way to pass the time. It has it's moments but not a must read. <<less

I enjoy this series a lot, the MC and the harem/romance girls. It is an interesting world and I am routing the MC all the away and find myself worrying who is trying to wrong him and how will he survive! Twist and turns constantly throwing the MC for a loop but he pushes on and over comes those trying to hold be back while trying to keep his family alive. I find it nerve wrecking but enjoyable all the same. I haven't read a story like this and it's... more>> unique setting makes it a unique gem for me. <<less

Read the novel and don't judge by the rating. Some maybe true but some maybe nuts who didn't even read properly or claim to read it so far...

MC: pe*vert. Well not really he juz love flirting with someone he love and doesn't intend to hide it. Basically an open pe*vert, very filial and can be ruthless if someone hurt his loves one, afraid of someone he loves leave him behind or hate him, very smart and it seems before he came to this new world he read a lot novels,... more>> brave (rather solo boss to hide his power), hilarious, thoughtful of his friends except something that doesn't really affect them that much on their future (fatty hai being scapegoat), someone who acts on his feeling even thou he is good in nature (think clearly) doesn't mean he cant be ruthless especially when he feel annoyed.

Explanation of the MC world: u will learn with the MC at later chapter since early chapter doesn't give the chance to learn properly. Why some people are dumb that even MC himself learn THAT some explanation at later chapter but them (some reader) want to know the explanation earlier than MC... wtf. Just enjoy how the author want the reader to immense themselves as how MC learning things

Some things can be confusing I even reread the stories and even try to look for wikia or the glossary (same site and gives detailed which chapter that explain this and that) as I miss a thing or two since I loves the story so much. the story are very addictive and its one of the novel that I can immense very deeply that I can even imagine how the story goes (like anime)

Shameless behavior??? lol its not like he r*pes someone or casually grope someone as he likes. Well I call it opportunist. Besides that is there anything else? nope. He know his limit and doesn't push his luck too far towards the one he care or involve himself with red district to have fun (might involve with some request), his beast and his relatives. he just loves beautiful girl and express it openly (it said that he just make himself bad that way intentionally but the feeling is true). Some MC behavior had being explained but in fragmented statement that the reader need to put it together. If the reader just forget the explained part and take the shameless part of course readers will hate it even I will hate it. <<less

Read up to chapter 330,

the story has an interesting plot and very different power levels, along with the Pokemon style battles it sure is fun. The MC and his harem ladies are also very funny and their interactions can be considered one of the best points of the novel. However, at around chapter 250-270 ish the story takes a turn for the worse, the attitudes of the ladies in MC's harem suddenly derogate into silly girls that love him so much and are kinda like waiting for him to... more>> jump on them?? I get that waiting 270 chapters for his first sexy time can be considered pretty long, but the abrupt change in the characters was not done well by the author, it could have been transitioned in much better ways. <<less

Quite funny story with pe*verted and strong MC. Good action and interesting world. If you like xianxia you will like this story too. I read till 204 chapters and for now I really enjoy reading this.

If you asked me what my favorite class is I would say anything that can summon like summoner/necromancer/tamer. And this story is all about summoning gloriousness. The MC is different from the typical mcs. And I like it when the MCs are different and dont show mercy to enemies. Theres comedy but also can be serious. If you want something that will change your mood and somethng different give this a try.

Overall this novel is good.

The good points are the comedy, author really good at writing that, interesting twist and plot development. (I liked when he charge to his clan stronghold, also marquis zi Jin)

The bad ones are author is not experienced in writing fighting scenes so there are some loopholes? Also it's kind of short, too vague in explaining the power of MC (I guess this one will be explained in future).

actualy I like the base story in this series where the MC transport to different word where in that word MC can summon some kind of spirit. The only flaw in this translation is the language is a bit confusing and hard to comperhend, but if you can through it you can find it enjoyable from the story point of view.

I don’t quite get it when at the beginning he said he was going to be mischievous and mess around with his 3rd sister or whatever, why did he lie to her about the other 2 skills of the plant he summoned in such a way? Is he just a natural born as*hole to people who try to be good to him? Shouldn’t he instead either be mischievous in another way like ask for a kiss for each lesson or something I mean deceiving someone who has offered up their knowledge to you for free and treats you so well is kinda not cool...

I also notice how useless his aunt/stepmom (?) is, I mean wow she is kind I get that but f*ck she should at least not tell the guy to be grateful when they give him shit, is she such a submissive woman? I kinda feel its good that the main guy is an as*hole in that aspect because I know he will ignore her well intended advice and screw the family that f*cks with him =D

Its a power trip novel, with the MC getting all the girls and being always the smartest and the ultimate winner, there is nothing very complex or profound about this novel, it also suffer from the same old problem all harem novel have, the female characters usually just have one personality trait and when they join the harem they kinda blend into one and other and are just there for the MC to remember them sometime, have his fun, power her up and leave.

One thing that I find funny is... more>> the predictability off the female companions, is kinda of a checklist that all harem novels have, there is, the sister, the girl that likes swords, the gentle one, the sexy and h**ny one, the smart one, the dumb one, the s*ave, the loli that the MC is g*ooming, the tragic past one, the sealed god and so on, there is always a number of them.

All and all this novel is pretty basic, usual harem novel, nothing special. <<less

A really good Harem Novel, with a good balance of action and romance. I really like the way he progresses with the females, he has a huge harem. His harem largely consists of strong, powerful females. I dropped around 700s cause the translation lasts till 816, and I will continue once it resumes being translated.

... more>> This is the most abstruse, amusing WN so far. I decided to read at least a hundred chapters after merely the first paragraph.

If you do not crack a smile at the first chapter, this author's humor is probably squandered on you you should probably not continue.

It gets a little dull sometimes and there seem to be a lot of "pleasure" scenes; fortunately, those dulls so far have always been temporary, and those scenes can usually be skipped without missing much story. Skimming is a lucky skill. <<less
