The Soaring Dragon Continent is a world of summons, where you can only become strong if you become a summoner!

Yue Yang, an average high school boy, was suddenly kicked into this world. When he woke up, he was greeted with a lot of worried faces and found out that he had assumed another person’s identity. Turns out he’s the good-for-nothing third son of the Yue Family, who had just recently drowned himself because of a failed engagement.

Unlike the third son of the Yue Family who was useless in summoning, Yue Yang succeeded in making a contract with a summoning grimoire on his first try, even when the other guy failed for the past fifteen years. Others would have a headache making contracts with beasts afterwards, but countless beasts tried to gain favour with Yue Yang instead, acting like a good kid before him.

Yue Yang the brat, however, didn’t feel grateful at all: “Scram, Mythical Beasts! Do you think you are cool like that? Go away from me now, I only like beautiful summons!”

Even when royal families approached him for his talents, the shameless brat replied, “I’m not interested in government stuff, I’m only interested in beauties!”

This is a novel that wants you to turn off your brain and just enjoy.

The humor is well done if you are used to it.

Most every main character is recognizable and fun to read.

... more>> That author really shows that he reads as much as he writes with a reference every 3 chapters and if you know them then its perfect.

I can see the power creep but it is a finished novel so it can't get too bad. Don't expect them to blow up planets.

Id give it a solid 7/10.

Don't expect alot of summoning though... <<less

This novel has a super interesting concept in the summoning books that I loved.

If you ignore the obvious nationalism, blatant sexism, terrible plot, weak writing, obnoxiously overdone plot armor, completely flat characters, utterly s*upid MC, and numerous other flaws, the concept is a very fun thing to read about.

Excellent read good comedy, nice plot with magic level ups, sufficient character development, mysteries and great fight scenes, cunning protagonist, good harem but not fully reliant which is more likeable and female characters with own development and ideologies not like blinded fool for MC I recommend this novel wholeheartedly.

Start might seem little dull but trust me later it is truly fantastic and comedy is really great at times and seriousness is separated. Really great novel.

It was good at the beginning but the mc's personality completely ruined it for me. I don't mind some perversions but just having perversions is very annoying and frustrating. I don't mind him being like that sometimes but he's like that all the time.

I want to give it a 3 Stars since the summoning part is really cool but his personality is too much to continue this story which is sad since this seems really interesting.

Later chapters become extremely boring. "Hero" gets everything (girls, power, ways to court girls, runes, knowledge, simply silly opponents) doing nothing, without any reason. He has nothing except luck. Even girls are keeping their v*rginity for thousands of years waiting until this big cool guy will pick their cherry

The story is alright but one of the character out of all the character in the story so far manages to piss me off, xia yi. Of all the light novels I've read, she's the only character that truly triggered me. Why is she even in the story? The only to end this suffering is to put a bullet through her head.

The summoning system is a fresh outlook compared to the normal cultivation trope. However, some of the things in the story get a bit repetitive.

The LN emphasizes how much he beats the demonic wolf too much, to the point where it's really not comedic relief anymore. Furthermore, the whole "jealous enough to commit su*cide, " crying, and coughing up blood description is completely overused. It gets to the point where they use it at least a couple times every chapter.

Read up to chap 204. Overall note: 7/10

What I like

- MC is ruthless and merciless with his enemies. But he also takes good care of his allies and close family.

... more>> - Even though he doesn't really care about the lives of others aside from the people he likes, he doesnt treat them like shit, and stay fair with them.

- Despite being a shameless liar, he remain for the most part honest

- Cunning, and hard-worker toward his objectives

- Good fighter

What I don't like:

- The start is like WTF? And it's never explained, MC doesn't even think much about it

- Excessive pe*vertedness of the MC, so much it is sometimes disturbing/disgusting/creepy

- Too many unresolved mysteries thrown at the same time, so many things happening in the last dozen chapters it was confusing. We need some answers before jumping toward the next batch of problems!

- Even though several love interests were introduced, we still know too little about them, which make them falling in love with the MC weird <<less

first, about the story, you said that the MC is just to op and there is a lot of mysteries that got buried, but didn't you think that it's a port of the story and the twist that will cause great improvement at the latter part of the story.

And about the his summons and powers, he got it so why won't he use it, did you want him to do nothing and adopt to a romance comedy twist one, the hell this one is about how he will improve the... more>> strength of his beast and how he will conquer girls right?! It is already stated at the beginning that he want to have a blissful romance life.

first at his own world, no one care about him and the him at the second world is regarded as tr*sh and even he's fiance want to end their engagement. Isn't it for a man to have his own pride regarding woman?! Women, no everyone doesn't care about him at his own world and at the second world only his family treat him with care.! Of course he'll want to have girls as his companions cause this is the first time has a chance like that!

about his lies, that add comedy and entertainment about the story, sometimes his lies is to shallow and to easy to uncover but isn't it because he actually wan't those around him to learn that he's not that kind of arrogant bastard that keep bragging about his strength and he treat his family with kindness. And sometimes he will lie for the reason that it may cause his identity to be revealed. Won't it cause problem if his identity had been revealed, who will trust him that time and he can't just blatantly say to anyone that he came from another world, won't he's family form a wall against him and they may not trust him.

about his pe*verted thoughts, he didn't even r*pe them or something, there's still a borderline for all of his act cause he's not a idiot and he clearly know that if he does something to one of them everything might change and it won't be the same as before. <<less

People seem to really like this, but I really can't get into it. I even read up to chapter 30 hoping it would get better, but it's just way too convoluted and annoying to read. There's way too much stuff going on to keep track of, and I get kinda pissed reading it from what happens. Also, the first chapter was confusing as hell, and I had no freaking clue what was happening.

An interesting story that has a unique battle style compared to the usual xianxia novels. As far as the translation, I think it is heavily affected by JP novel way of translating, which led me to believe at first that I was reading a JP novel instead of a CN novel. For example, there was an part where its clearly a fox but they call it "kitsune" instead.

The story telling, I find it not too appealing. There are many incident where an exciting part of the story gets interrupted by... more>> a long explanation that ruins the climax/intensity of the situation. Battle descriptions is lacking most of the time. There are parts where they go into detail, and parts where they just flew by the battle without any detail the MC actually wins. There are also time skips, which you have to infer what happen because from one chapter to the next it is not clear on what happened specifically.

Overally 3/5, or maybe 7/10. If you like pokemon, you might like this as well. <<less

Pretty enjoyable.

Reminded me of pokemon if the MC was a OP douche bag with broken abilities and a harem with his humanoid pokemon.

Found his personality and smooth douchy words/acts much more enjoyable than the (actually pretty damn good) action

There is no other way to put it the MC is a Douche, a shameless, pathological lying, thick skinned, SOB. But that works in his favor and ours. It over the top some times and highly annoying at others. But for the most part its freaking hilarious. Plus a clear ad cut path to be OP as hell.

after chapter 200, mc's behavior becomes inconsistent with his base. Beautiful women that he is attracted to throws themselves to him, but he ran away like Yuuki Rito. Even after his summons become "humans" and gains human intelligence, there is no development. No lines between his female summons outside of "pikachu use lightingbolt!." story foundation collapses after chap 400ish.

Damn.. if you can put up with mc's attitude for first 10 or so chapter after that the story becomes totally awesome... not to mention we have got awesome translators and editors working on this project.

Enjoyable~ it’s good for killing time. Eventhough its not great, but it’s pretty good~ ^^

[my rate for this novel (from what that I read till c83) is 65/100]

his “sly?” character thats almost lying everytime eventhough its not necessary if you view it as teasing and comedy, I think it’s pretty funny ^^

i think he hiding his strength is good, its not like he invincible so I don’t see any need to showing of his strength to the world, it’s enough that most of people thats close to him know that he’s pretty strong. So I think it’s good like this. Hiding his strength while continue building his strength
