Yu Hua loses his job, and the weight of the household falls on the shoulders of his partner, You Zhengping. 

His husband is a temporary employee at the subdistrict office, with a monthly salary of only 2500; this troubles Yu Hua exceedingly.

You Zhengping is secretly engaged in the work of protecting the world from Destroyers, with a rather liberal subsidy.

I thought it was fluffy domesticated novel but woww!..I was surprised.!

There is a plot and yes everything makes sense. I totally recommend it..

Novels about old couples who have been together for a while are rare. What I enjoyed the most in this novel is the fluff, intimacy and tacit understanding between the old couple.

Very complex plot. Due to the complexity of the plot and setting, the author admirably goes into extensive details about almost everything. The author meticulously emphasised the personality, mindset, thought processes, nature, motivation and background of nearly all the characters and also included extremely detailed action sequences. Sometimes, the sheer amount of details was too repetitive, irrelevant and dragged... more>> the plot down.

Often, the plot seemed so complicated and entangled, with all the characters lying, pretending, acting and spying, that I started to find the plot overly dramatic, incoherent and illogical. Also mixing real modern science with the fantasy was not at all convincing. <<less

I really liked how the main couple was already established and getting along well but new circumstances caused changes to their status quo. The ML was possesive but in a way that the MC fully enjoyed and complied with easily. It also was setup so that the ML's behavior made sense and not like a controlling a-hole just bc lol. The plot was riveting and the side character's were interesting. My only regret is that I wish some of the other characters got together!

I want to rate 5 stars! I don’t know why I can’t though....

This story! Ah! I love the main character so much. He is black bellied but oh my gosh his love is so true, and he would never hurt his lover. Beneath his black-bellied exterior is a heart that holds true to his values/virtues. And oh my gosh the two of them are a perfect match! (Like seriously, I bet no one else could stand them except the other) It’s so sweet, I’m melting.

Actually, my score would be 2.5 stars, but I decided to add and round it up into 3 bcs of the excellent translation.

The story idea itself is unique, really different from what i've read this far. Even maybe this is the only one in its kind, in QT/transmigation novels.

what make it unique for me is, that this novel included the npc too. And they see the transmigator as destroyer. Even the ML, the protector (the native/npc), engaged in the last big war too. This novel pretry much is told from the npc point of angle. And the ML and MC are also often switch POV.

But what I don't like is, the novel is quite plain. Sometimes it's boring, and full of fillers. The ending is predictable too, even since the beginning. I anticipated that i'll get something interesting or, earth-shocking major-plot-thing bcs of the MC's secret as clearer. But meh. Really, this disappoint me a lot. I really hoped something interesting happen and bear to keep reading till the end, but I got nothing.

He just invited everyone to eat in his house, while also displayed his shocking power, telling the others that he'll fight the last boss, and then that's all. The end. Boss got defeated. Eehhhhhh... So simplee... *sigh

The employees are really funny haha this is a really funny novel but there are some aspects to it that I didn’t enjoy much and made me want to make my rating a 3 but for me, if you just want to past time, you can read this one and enjoy! Of course this is just my opinion 🙂

To sum it up, this is a crack taken seriously story.

The further you read, the more you uncover. It retains the humorous air of its initial crack concept, but with every seemingly swept over plot hole that even the readers are willing to ignore in favor of reading onwards, there's an explanation or clarification for it in the later chapters. That leads into exploring deeper themes that you wouldn't have expected from a crack story.

MC (Yu Hua) is an OP transmigrator (also known as Destroyer) who just wants to live an ordinary life with ML, his husband. Ques constant scheming from both of them to prevent the other from realising their actual identity (of having powers) while saving the world.

Overall a decent read. For the most parts, MC loves ML and is very possessive of him, to the extent that it borderlines on yandere tendencies, BUT he doesn't actually cross the line of possessiveness, mostly he's just very protective and often comes to his... more>> rescue. Story is mainly Destroyers coming into this world one after another and being reformed by MC through strategies and low-key coercion to be a good citizen, all the way till the final battle.

My main qualm about this story is that while the relationship between the world and the System is relatively logically explained, it still seems a little abstract, and the relationship between MC and ML is also slightly superficial, especially from ML's end? ML just simply loves MC, with no clear reason why except that he appeared in his life and ML fell in love at first sight. But ignoring that, the relationship is pretty sweet especially how they constantly try to get around problems in order to spend more time together or to reduce each other's burdens. <<less

I'll keep this short. I was able to finish because the powerful husbands are too endearing to read, the hilarious side characters will make u stay too (zhen li is bae), the versed plot! (But.. Srsly too many information. My brain had difficult time processing. I had to pause and absorb! Tbh there werr more infos than the sit down talk of the leads sighs) nevertheless I enjoyed the book. A good read indeed. The translations were excellent too.

Really a 3.5 but rounded up for a great translation. This had a great potential but I think it struggled a bit in execution. The plot and ideas are good and unique but had some inconsistencies.

The novel basically asks the question, what if the NPCs aren't NPCs but "real" humans who just want to protect their real world and the transmigrators are the villains? I thought this was a great idea and unique as so far all the system books I've read, the MC takes on the role of transmigrator and the reader is supposed to root for him and his buddies to clear the "game" world. It goes on to explore some great concepts that goes along with that.

The mixed bag: Characters-I know some reviews didn't like the MC for coming off uncaring. I fall in the middle, between liking some parts and not liking other parts but for very different reasons

Yes, the MC comes off very anti-social at some parts but I thought that made sense. The dude experienced over 3000 worlds basically playing the role of world butcher and experienced countless betrayals, life/death situations, and gained god-like powers. Who wouldn't be screwed up in the head? He's the perfect example of the saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." He's so idealistic and kind of naive in a weird way that he turns into a dictator. His intentions are all for the good but the actions taken to realize his intentions can be ruthless.

Now that's my kind of character. I love the anti-hero, dark, flawed, and complicated types. And here's where I thought the writing failed a bit. Because that characterization wasn't consistent. It was like the author was too scared to go all the way with him in that line and so we would get that anti-hero stuff and then the next page, it would play like a comedy skit. So he just turned into the typical tsundere ML types. There's a way to mix in the deep darker stuff with comedy and make it work but here I thought it worked half the time and half the time it didn't

The author also tried to mix up the gong/shou trope with MC/ML taking on different roles from the usual and it kind of worked, kind of didn't. Instead of breaking the trope/stereotypes completely, they just switched roles so some of the stereotypes are still there just in the opposite character. It's not bad, I just thought it could've been more. I do like their relationship for the most part. They start off the story hiding a ton of stuff from each other (with understandable reasons) but avoided the usual dog blood melodrama that usually comes with that.

Like with the MC/ML, I liked some plots with the side characters and didn't like others. The biggest problem I think is that it got too repetitive. I do like the redemption stories where the transmigrators come to understand the natives and work with them. I like the relationships between the side characters and each other way more vs. The side characters and MC. Like Lian Yufan/Luo Hai, Cen Xiao/Zhen Li, ML and his buddies, Director Xiao and the protectors etc. They were all more interesting than MC+any side character and could've easily been spun off to their own little mini-stories.

I definitely love this novel!! Both MC and ML are OP... And how they love and trust each other is very sweet 💟 this novel doesn't really need you to think much so it good light full of fluff but there's still some action..

Its really funny how YH treats other people other than YZP like he treats YZP full of love and caring while other people you did something bad or if you dare to disturb his time with YZP be prepare he going to get you in the most... more>> pettiest ways🤣 he will make your life hard for sure but he know his limit and won't go overboard and cause harm to you..

And when everyone realized his identity those who didn't know began to think back what they did to him or is there any to do good deeds to YH..

There's no s*upid misunderstanding between YH and YZP because how much the trust each other eventho YH found out first that YZP is a protector he didn't worry about YZP would think about him but he's worry if others people might try to separate them same as YZP when he realized that YH is the clearer he worry that the organization might harm YH

It nice how YZP always want to protect YH it cause YH to feel something new because he always protect other or protect himself never had anyone else protecting him..

I seriously recommend people to read this as this is really good and you would never get bored!! <<less

Easily one of my favourite novels. It's incredibly funny, and I love the identity shenanigans; the worldbuilding is very enjoyable as well. The side characters are all well rounded, and the main couple have a very fun dynamic.

Brilliant. Funny. Ridiculous at times. Idiots-in-Love.

Deep Plot and a story focused on the feelings of a world where' transmigrators' invade and do missions which usually involve breaking the law and manipulating normal humans. The Protection Organization was created after these invaders or 'Destroyers' started coming to their world causing nothing but destruction.

After 15 years of peace, the invaders have come back. Why? Why was there peace for 15 years? And why do these 'invaders' seem a bit different?

Really good tho it was only at ch 52 that I realized that the protagonist was actually the gong due to a brief mention of his clothes being a size bigger. So I came here to check the tags again 😅

that actually was disappointing since I thought it was interesting to see a shou be the one who was secretly overpowered and yandere rather than the gong. (Maybe ive gotten Too used to the MCs being the shou 🤔) now the MC just looks like a generic domineering husband 😕.
