Xie Yang struggled in the post-apocalyptic world for many years until he was too tired to go on. Then he transmigrated into a young adult entertainment circle novel where the protagonists have easy, sweet, and satisfying lives.

The male protagonist of the novel is not just handsome and smart, he’s also reborn. The female protagonist of the novel is not only beautiful and works hard towards her dreams, she also has a cheat in her hands.

There’s a lot of male and female supporting roles, each having pretty face, nice figures and someone strong behind them. Get into any one of their bodies, and he could close his eyes and just enjoy life. But he didn’t. Instead he transmigrated into a young idol secretly married to the biggest villain of all — the male protagonist’s maternal uncle.

His title is husband but it’s more like a nurse. Because this novel’s biggest villain is a terminally ill patient who is gloomy and sick in the head (actually sick). Their marriage was to counter the bad luck (illness).

3.5 ish ? - Beware, quite a few heavy subjects, like elderly end of life, cancer treatment - it can be pretty uncomfortable, even more as some part are rather strange in these episodes

I loved the characters and their dynamic, there’s no inferior character, the MC is not to original but he’s well balanced and he stands his ground with a lot of smart - the mouse, is really an interesting ML, albeit a bit of a caricature, his burdens and his past makes for a strong cowardly and extremely... more>> old fashion Man, that you could label extreme tsundere with a slight twist

I enjoyed that these people don’t fall blindly for each other and their relationship grows to a believable depth - actually the romance part of their relationships come out of nowhere, and doesn’t really catch my heart, but their bond certainly make sense

Action wise : the artist part is pretty much ok, but why on earth would an apocalypse survivor would be so business savy ??

the supernatural part is light and a bit fun, with just the right amount of mystery to add some variety to the usual build an empire from scratch + artist on the rise meeting obstacles of all kind

Sadly, despite good ideas and a lot of things motion gets really long and lost in a « slice of life « pace after a while - as way to often, too many « fluff moments « or « read melons on the internet » makes for a rather dull content as soon as the characters hook up - it would benefit from a good trim to patch up the pace

the disease part left me full of « meh » questions - it’s rather uncomfortable, poorly documented, and rather contradictory :

the MC has a purification power, but can’t clean poison (chemo is literally poison, side effects are also a lot more than just loosing hair) his power can erode tumor, and move it, but you still have to endure conventional treatment that killed the ML in the original world, the ML gets back to work only 10 days after months of chemo and brain surgery (!) so meh, I don’t get it really

Lastly the ending is seriously disappointing : the story goes on steroids with a bunch of psycho that don’t really make sense, and it seems like after the ML treatment, appart for the crazy bit, there’s nothing left to say leaving a rather abrupt and anticlimactic last chapter <<less

Deducting one star because my hand slipped.

Otherwise, truly a sensational book for those that love showbiz, business management and scheming.

Oh, and don't forget the fluff. Yes, the romance is slow. But this book deserves a six-star rating and I'll tell you why.

The male lead is the usual ice cold type but... this time, his character is actually fleshed out and not a prop to create a cool character. His stoicism (and his terminal disease) makes the romance go slower at first. Then...

We realise behind that deep freezer facade, the male lead is very easily embarrassed and reluctant. Like the MC said at one point, in romance, the ML is as coy as a primary school student. This single attribute adds a deep layer of change to the ML's behaviour throughout the entire series. And it is fun to see him grow and try to overcome his hesitance.

Aside, from that, the schemes are fairly satisfactory. The showbiz element is focused on more at the start. While the business side is subtly prevalent throughout the series. As for the romance, towards the end, there is so much sugar, it could make teeth rot! Simply bullying single dogs! Which is made even more amazing (or not) by the fact that there is NO smut. <<less

You must read this. As an avid reader of romance and smut, the amount of consistency, lack of loop holes and the beautiful depiction of realistic pure love is akin to a brain orgasm. I want everybody who is hesitating to read this masterpiece to do themselves a favour and just read it. Many thanks to Chrysanthemum Garden for the translation - your translation always rocks and your website's dark mode makes me want to actually continue reading. This is worth the five stars I am giving it .

Don't be scared of the potentially triggering title. This book won't hurt you at all. On the contrary, if some other book gives you knives, this one will heal and comfort you. It is the sweetest, kindest and cutest story, with the most loveable couple of main characters. The MC is strong, smart, cool and caring. The ML is grumpy, shy, kind and extremely cute. They are the best thing that could happen to each other. There is no unnecessary drama, no dog-blood misunderstandings, no hurting each other, and yet... more>> I wasn't bored even for a single moment for all 175 chapters. This one's nice, but I really don't like the MC AT FIRST. I think he's pretty immature at the first few chapters, but later on, he's okay. The MC and ML is so cute, and I will definitely reread this (well, I'll prolly skip some parts, esp the first few chapters.)

Honestly a very cute novel. (Update: I already read this for at least 3 times)

The MC is a crafty and smart person? While the ML is just a very shy tsundere that is so freaking cute. The relationship and their communication are so fluffy. Like I'm there to eat all the dog food they are scattering. They started out in a money and benefit-related? Relationship but as time passes, the MC starts to care for the ML, and the ML starts to pay attention and help the MC. The... more>> MC kept teasing the ML and the ML being shy is really the most memorable part of this novel. And when the MC tries his best to heal the ML and encourages him to do his best to live and cure his illness. All those really made my heart melt : (Plus the changes in the ML's mindset due to the presence of the MC makes the novel SO DAMN SWEETTTTTT

I really fell in love with the ML in this novel because he was way too cute and tsundere. The way he hides his shyness and happiness with his anger and stone face and the MC knowing it and giving in to him so he doesn't lose his face. Wayyy too lovely (sometimes when a character is too tsundere it gets a lil annoying but the ML is just right. Cute and funny hehe)

I saw some reviews that say that the MC is too OP and the face-slapping scenes are not as good? But I kind of disagree. Due to these reviews, I didn't want to read it but then I changed my mind and decided to give it a shot. Turns out, it was a very intriguing and fun read. I think the part where the MC too OP makes the novel much funnier so it's definitely a plus point. I kept laughing when he outsmarts his rivals and those s*upid cannon fodders. Plus I love face-slapping scenes so this novel was perfect for me. <<less

Fantastic read, and translated by the amazing RainbowTurtle, who has great taste in novels.

Extremely enjoyable role-reversal where the ill CEO ML is a bit shy, a bit cowardly, and a bit indecisive; a tsundere frequently running away and unable to fully express his emotions.

The mouse-like ML is paired with the fox/wolf-like MC, who is quick-witted, tough, and ruthless, willing to do what it takes to achieve what he wants and protect the people he cares about.

MC was reborn from a post-apocalypse setting and then becomes a big bad wolf in... more>> the entertainment industry, so if you like that kind of trope, you've got it!

Both MC and ML are OP, but MC especially is very OP, so not recommended if you don't like OP MCs.

Story was wrapped up really well with

it's a big ball of fluff. The only angst is situational. Some parts will make you tear up but many of them will make you laugh out.

it was a fun read. Don't be put off by the title, the sickness is written about in a very handwavy way. No real or scientific symptoms of the illness ever actually occurred (they were mentioned once).

this story will make you feel fond.

One of the BEST. The MC and the ML have a seriously adorable relationship. There's face-slapping, but the emotional investment is what really makes this a gem. The ML illness isn't made up or magicked away (though there is magic), his suffering is real and painful. The MC is clever and rational, so he is entertaining and not dramatic.

I really adore and love this novel, it will definitely give you the definition of what is love.

At first, I was skeptical about reading this novel because of some bad reviews, but I'm telling you, for me, this novel really deserves 5 stars.

It would show you the development of the characters with the brilliant spacing, it does not feel force and such. The story will make you feel in love and touched witnessing how their love for each other progress and how they cherish each other. This novel is definitely... more>> worth it, it would make you cry, but it's because of happiness. You will definitely feel touched by how both characters show their love for each other.

I am really happy that I have decided to read this novel and watch the growth of such amazing characters and their love for each other. <<less

I cried at the end not because it is a bad ending but because it is so beautiful I was too selfish to let go. ML is the real tsundere type, conservative and sooo cute when scolding. MC so lawless and naughty (only with ML). Always tease poor ML. About their love I won't say you go and read...

Hmm good that the story is finished now at CG, although there are some mistakes on translation but it's okay.

Our MC really have the tricks and can make people angry haha. Our ML due to his condition had the personality like that (read the storyy!!) He is awkward but as the story goes on we can see that He is cherishing MC. Has a good patience in waiting for the MC to Open up. I am happy that they seriously talk about the problems of their relationship. It really need... more>> communications. MC calling the ML a Mouse ahhahaha so funny. It was a good read though sometimes it's kinda boring but it has its diff style than other stories. Of course HE😊 <<less

This is one of the best web novel I've ever read... I'm really happy for both of them... There love story reminds me of the song "say you won't let go" (esp A'Qing's pov).. i loved this novel soo so so much. I wasn’t sure I would at first because ive never been too fond of the entertainment novels. They just get boring for me, but this one?? Yeah.

Firstly;

Although I have always been a pretty big fan of transmigration novels, they usually all hold the same flaw. The character that transmigrated always seems to just suddenly be perfectly at ease in their new world and I have not once understood how that’s possible, especially if the world they came from was apocalyptic.

Whether it’s nightmares,... more>> jumpy nerves, or distrusting towards others, none of these ever played apart in the character once they entered the new world. They just completely put everything behind them and were perfectly fine.

But in reality, how is that possible? If you’ve lived through the very worst of mankind and seen how terrible people become to survive, experienced the painful hunger after being unable to find food for days, or being constantly on guard from those around you, how could you easily settle into a new role in a new life? I never got it.

This is the one novel that I’ve read that had so far, kept some of the attitude and nerves from the apocalypse world. He doesn’t like being touched, (if I’m reading it correctly) then it’s probably due to the fact that it’ll trigger his fight or flight and have him ready to fight it off as an attack rather than taking it as a friendly good touch. Eating like he’s afraid it’ll be stolen, because (again if I’m reading between the lines correctly) then it would have in the other world. That, or it’s sacred but scares and as such, you’re starving and unable to hold bag from stuffing yourself after not eating for days on end.

I love these bits and pieces and I’m really happy that a novel has finally showed some more realistic traits or habits after transmigration.

one thing I’ve grown to hate is that for some odd reason in most of these novel that deal with foreign people, they always seem to use the stereotypical blonde hair blue eyed like that’s all there is to the world outside of asia.

it’s not a huge problem but it does get annoying when the chance to be more diverse comes along and they hand it to the pale skin vampires with blue eyes. Anyway

Secondly;

The relationship between XY and QX ? Yeah I absolutely love it. It’s one of my most favorite relationships I’ve read yet. There was no overbearing possessiveness, no cliched little MC that couldn’t take care of himself and had to rely on the big bad CEO. The CEO, QX wasn’t annoyingly cold and arrogant to everyone around him only to abruptly and randomly see the MC and become whipped instantly.

Instead, QX was cold and arrogant around everyone INCLUDING the MC and that, that made it all the better because as a tsundere, I completely understand him and have adopted QX as my son.

But forreal, it was really refreshing to see a relationship that wasn’t one domineering and the other whiny/weak willed, but both of them being petty, aggressive, arrogant and assertive in their own way.

Once they were finally together, I loved how careful and gentle QX was and even how he still acted arrogant and rude but only as a way to cover up his shyness and embarrassment (because same) and I loved how XY was able to understand that instead of becoming bu*t hurt, upset and insecure in QX’s feelings towards him, thinking that it was fake. I loved it.

(I also enjoyed the various nicknames that was given to QX. Mouse, Sugar Jar, Jar of vinegar. All of these are so cute and soft and the visuals for it were so cute) <<less

Most of the plot holes were answered but there is one plot hole that I was waiting to be filled but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the answer.

The question is why did Mother Qiu chose Xie Yang as the wife of Qiu Xing?

Truly saddened that this novel is already finished. I really love this story and I've reread it 3 times already. This is just that great! I love the personalities of the MC and the ML and their interactions with other characters and with each other. Will definitely reread this novel again in the future.

A beautiful, heartwarming treasure. Like indulging in milktea and fried chicken or whatever your comfort food is after a long, stressful day.

I love how ML's hesitations because of his illness were carefully brought out by the author, and it was never used to excuse any unhealthy behavior.

And their relationship was so healthy despite the circumstances around them. MC knew his worth and never settled for less. He trusted his self, ML, and ML trusted him back. And my favorite line was definitely that part when he told ML that although... more>> he can rely on himself, it's different if the ML is around.

There's a lot of reading between the lines in this novel. For example, it's never explicitly stated how vigilant and tense MC is about his survival but you can see it from his behavior and actions. And eventually, he even says "I'm free." after he resolves one of the main antagonists.

The romance part is also written like this. The words "I love you" appear only once, and "I like you" appears maybe 2 times? A lot of showing, not telling, going on. This is how the novel remains simple yet still moving. So if you're not reading carefully, you'll miss a lot of cues and subtext. <<less

Sweet, sweet, sweet. It’s a cute little story to read. Plots isn’t too deep and the fluff is just right. Very relaxing read with a HE. Thank you to the translator and thank you to the author. MC and ML’s relationship is so fluffy even if ML is a tsundere. Wishing them a good rest of their life.

Oh my godd!!! Im soo envy of their love ಥ_ಥ How beautiful!! (づ￣ ³￣) づ It is not easy to find a partner who is willing to face difficulties together especially at the moment of the worst state in our life.

I love MC and ML very much. They really deserve each other. I like how cute ML is and his tsundere part... which is pretty rare. Since most of the MLs is either cold, OP or overbearing.

I dont like too many face-slapping stuffs. Coz it's too annoying. However, this story... more>> doesn't too exaggerate and it has enough to spice the storyline. It also has up and down so it's not boring to read. I cried buckets too (╥_╥) watching how desperate MC and ML struggling. Sobsobsob....
