Xie Yang struggled in the post-apocalyptic world for many years until he was too tired to go on. Then he transmigrated into a young adult entertainment circle novel where the protagonists have easy, sweet, and satisfying lives.

The male protagonist of the novel is not just handsome and smart, he’s also reborn. The female protagonist of the novel is not only beautiful and works hard towards her dreams, she also has a cheat in her hands.

There’s a lot of male and female supporting roles, each having pretty face, nice figures and someone strong behind them. Get into any one of their bodies, and he could close his eyes and just enjoy life. But he didn’t. Instead he transmigrated into a young idol secretly married to the biggest villain of all — the male protagonist’s maternal uncle.

His title is husband but it’s more like a nurse. Because this novel’s biggest villain is a terminally ill patient who is gloomy and sick in the head (actually sick). Their marriage was to counter the bad luck (illness).

The translation's a bit rough sometimes... well half the time but if you're looking for hurt/comfort with a happy ending you're in the right place.

I really like the ML, he's a fresh take on domineering CEO because he's "mean" but not a bad person (he doesn't neglect the MC, do something that would genuinely set the MC up for failure, he owns up and makes up for every mistake he rarely makes, and he doesn't forcefully prohibit MC from doing things he doesn't agree with). He's basically that sword tongued... more>> but soft handed mother character turned into a ML.

Low how the MC is proactive especially when it comes to making the ML confront his feelings and come out of his shell to express them, like he's purposely doing and saying things to make the ML work towards bettering himself and his attitude towards his feelings.

Also I find the final antagonist of the story very interesting since when you first read about them you didn't really expect them to reach that level of craziness or insanity.

My only complaint is that I wish the supporting side characters got some side stories too. I wanted to see more of them and wish they got a little more detail in the end but everything turned out all right. <<less

One of the best novel I've read. Sometime with long novel I tend to get bored towards the end. Not this one. It gets more interesting the longer I read. The scheming and the deep mind of the villains n our MC intriguing me to no end. I love their plotting to our MC n how our MC ruthlessly plotting against them back. My only complaint would be lack of any snu snu moment QvQ it still very sweet tho between our tsundere ML n MC ~

Extremely cute couple, beyond adorable. That being said, I feel the plot was lacking, and there were no stand out side characters. I think the mechanisms of the mc’s ability and regression, and the system held by the female MC of the novel, were all left by the wayside. The world-building was, needless to say, disappointing to me personally. However! The two leads were so well done and so well-developed together that you can’t help but love this. This novel definitely deserves the more than a thousand people giving it 5 stars, but it deserves much more.

The chapters are not so long that reading becomes tiring, you can read many chapters at once.

There are also no secondary couples, which I thought was great, after all I'm there because of the main couple's story.

It's that couple, this is an emotional story that I really saw the love in the couple, they are a couple who fit perfectly into the wedding vows "In joy and in sadness, in health and... more>> in sickness, in richer and in poverty, loving, respecting and being faithful to you every day of my life, until death do us part" So, there was no moment of them being poor without money to prove my point, but the rest is all there 😂

One of the best novels I've ever read!

This one for real is a gem, I loved them through the story, their relationship, personality, and how they loved each other.

Somehow I can't see it as a story..... They were too real, they made my heart warm.

Now here I'm with diabetes, and sadness, I will miss them in future

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......I've became to cheesy....

Omfg! This one is a must read!

I love both the protagonist with their flaws and perfections. They just compliment each other so well. 😭😭😭 istg this book has given me some very high as well as realistic expectations. Also also QX... Be my husband as well 😭

I absolutely loved this novel. Although, plot is a bit slow at times, it's well written. I also I feel like the romance is extremely well done. I love how the relationship feels balanced, and how they finallyestablishtheir relationship. I'll probably come back to give a better review in the future.

I like it! The MC is op, and also the ML is such a tsun tsun lover. The MC Rebirth and crossover as a cannon fodder with a sickly tsundere hubby. Their relationship development is good mainly because the MC is tolerant to his dominate, sour face everyday hubby. He adaptive so well even good at teasing and coaxing him. I like how the MC faced the problem. He is dare to try, dare to love and He use his head very well, especially to solve his jerk father and... more>> his competitors. He held his grudge, cruel to someone who offend him, but very rational and good bussiness mind. I like how the villains not easily to die eventho the MC tossed them hard from here and there. And I like how all of the characters ending here. That's it. <<less

I used to read this a long time ago, always loved it and waited for the next chapters eagerly despite struggling to MTL it. But as with all things, reality and responsibility had eventually occupied too much of my time for me to continue to camp online to wait for the next chapter.

I’m happy though that I’ve come upon this story again, to finally read the ‘Happily Ever After’ between Xie Yang and Qiu Xing

(Though I do feel like some parts are different? It might just be because I... more>> read the MTL of this at the beginning and understood it differently because I struggled with the translation. I’m also wondering if I’m getting a different story confused with this one because I have the impression of a scene of Mu Zhouyi being found living in squalor with some waste of a man that she could only keep charmed to do her bidding by sleeping with him. Am I mistaken or have I understood the MTL wrong?) <<less

I love this story so much. This is just prime example of a healthy relationship. They love and trust each other SO MUCH. Never a moment of doubt, no unnecessary love triangle or whatever. It's just them from the beginning to the end.

I really enjoyed this, it was indulgent and cute. I didn't get why MC had to be from a post apocalyptic world, but you see why by the end. First as a plot device, then as you find out where the golden finger system came from (no spoilers), so it felt nicely rounded to me.

Everything has clear purpose, characters you're meant to not like are fleshed out and aren't needlessly cruel (this is the entertainment industry), and I like the progression in the relationship between MC and ML.

I really, really liked this. The MC is cunning, and so is the ML. I loved tsundere, pretending to be cold but actually sweet MLs. The ML is a president, he is tyrannical in a way but like not in an offputting way. Maybe because the MC is so calculating and sassy, it balances out?

Also, I literally bookmarked parts of it, so I could remember where I read certain lines.

If you're the type who really likes spoilers before you commit to a read, this is one of my favorite parts. Major spoilers here at least up to Chapter 54 here.

Background: The MC has an ability core he got in the apocalypse. If he collects energy, he can use it to help the ML's illness. He originally goes it because he believes his fate is tied to the ML's, but you know what happens... he falls in love. Chapter 54, they still have 'it's complicated' as their relationship status. The MC gets fevers when his ability core upgrades, and he and the ML are at hospital. The female lead comes to "return a book" to the MC, but the MC has just realized how the female lead's golden finger works.

THE EXCERT:

He couldn’t let Mu Zhouyi meet Qiu Xing!

Xie Yang suddenly woke up. He tried calling out for Qiu Xing but his throat was so dry he could only make some breathing sounds. The voices at the door continued and Mu Zhouyi wasn’t driven away.

He used the strength of his arms to sit up, pulled the needle from the back of his hand, got out of bed barefoot and walked to the door of the ward.

Mu Zhouyi couldn’t meet Qiu Xing. His direct contact with Mu Zhouyi made him completely sure of one thing. Mu Zhouyi’s golden finger would directly affect the human brain after contact. If it had to be classified as an ability then it would definitely be a mind control ability.

All mind control abilities had more or less negative effects on the human brain. Healthy people might not be really hurt by this negative impact but Qiu Xing had a terminal illness. In addition, the source of his terminal illness was in the brain. Xie Yang didn’t know if a person with a malignant tumor in his brain would be in a worse condition after his brain was affected by mind control.

In the original novel, Qiu Xing’s illness was indeed aggravated after he started to have frequent contact with the female lead. He couldn’t let Qiu Xing...

“I’m sorry. This is the character biography that Director Xu Heng asked me to pass onto Xie Yang. Mr Qiu, look... ”

“Give it to me.”

In his vision, Qiu Xing reached out to Mu Zhouyi.

Xie Yang didn’t know where he got his burst of strength from. He rushed to the door with his weak body, pulled back the hand Qiu Xing was extending to Mu Zhouyi and turned to face Qiu Xing’s shoulder, blocking Qiu Xing with his own body. He glanced back at Mu Zhouyi and squeezed out some words. “Who told you to come?”

Mu Zhouyi’s outstretched hand fell down as she stared at Xie Yang in a stunned manner. Her eyes swept over Xie Yang and Qiu Xing’s ambiguous pose and her mouth dropped open. She was unable to speak.

“Don’t you like Feng Qinglin? Go and concentrate on him. Don’t touch my person. Get out of here!”

Xie Yang took the character biography from Mu Zhouyi’s hand, pushed Qiu Xing two steps inside and slammed the door of the ward. Then he looked at Qiu Xing with a frown. He wanted to tell Qiu Xing not to see any messy people. However, the feeling of dizziness came suddenly and he tightened his grip on Qiu Xing, placing his hand on Qiu Xing’s shoulder in discomfort.

Qiu Xing froze from being embraced by Xie Yang. After a moment, he finally moved. He looked down at the head on his shoulder and hesitantly, carefully and in an unaccustomed manner, placed his hand on Xie Yang’s back to support his body.

This novel is good and worth reading. Actually, I finished this novel a long time ago, but I just want to review it. Both MC and ML are very mature, and I like the MC for always taking care of the ML. This novel is one of my favorites, and I always reread it when I have time.

Truthfully speaking the entire novel didn't stand out much according to my expectations after reading the summary that actually lured me in to read it completely. However I wouldn't either hinder others to discover it. So go ahead give it try...

Because...,

Few things I've discovered that I found I don't mind much despite clashing with my own principles... such as MC's constant asking favours in terms of money and other resources. And same repetitive plots till the end.

However I did find the ML annoying because his way of tsundere attitude... more>> is outright obnoxious and MC constant indulgence with it. I was even somewhat repelled with their "so called romance".

And I couldn't believe that I'm going to say this but f*ck man! I really wished that the ML dies so that our MC could be with someone better like Long shuyou or someone else... But unfortunately that old c*ckroach in the name of ML was revived by our MC's purification abilities and doctors treatment. I'm reluctant but yes the journey of the treatment (where he was bald and thin like a loach) what somewhat slowed down my rejection.

But still the author could have made the ML somewhat likeable because I don't mind my ML's to be prickly but just because they're portrayed as tsundere you can't right over the top with loosed mouth as a character saying whatever comes up in their head to hide their softness to be discovered (for example at early pages you might find him saying MC is a tool or a fun thing that was bought or "Our relationship is of tenant and landlord" in front of people even if they're his people). It actually makes them seem more spoiled, rotten, bratty, and childish like this story's ML (I understand his bitterness of terminal illness but still)

Damn!!!

Left such a bitter taste in my mouth that rivalled bitter gourd. <<less

A very healthy relationship between the MC & ML of codependency and independence that is OP but not overly OP.

Trying to think why I wasn’t that engaged while reading:

1) MC’s apocalyptic origin is mentioned a lot in terms of how he’s developed his ability to survive and compete in this new world, some mention of his music ability and food scarcity; but in general, not really built upon, feels a bit convenient to just borrow the good parts to build the character. To that I also wished ML’s chairman persona... more>> was also developed more on how he earned his place & gained the respect and trust and position.

2) Feels awfully convenient that the MC has his healing ability and everything just falls into place with the random level ups. I get that MC should heal ML but just felt very in between (like if you wanna be OP just go all out and bam! Heal. If not, then make it more tragic or fraught with disasters) wish the MC also fully explained to ML (although it was passed off as a joke once

3) to that point, it seems like other than the usual corporate/entertainment politics there should have been more ability users in the novel so that it’s more fair and balanced? Maybe I didn’t understand the nascent world thing properly lol. Disengaged partially by then.

Positive parts,

1) MC was cute & powerful at the same time, and so was ML but in different ways. Was a nice dynamic. The ML’s struggles for the relationship were believable and they falling in love progress was very well paced.

2) the Mother Qiu and Feng Qinglin relationship with the two leads was very well developed. Showed growth, and I looked forward to their appearances. Side characters were not overly 2D.

3) tsundere dog food. Not my favourite flavour but pretty good.

A solid 4/5 for me, not entirely to my taste (I was hoping of more crematorium style with the description lol which it really wasn’t). Might re-read only if bored. <<less

MC came from a world of apocalypse. ML is sick and president of a large company. They start as a married couple. They both don't know each other well. It is a slowburn and sweet novel. I like it pretty much.

It's one of the best I've ever read, both MC's feel like actual people, their interactions are mature, the romance is not rushed and the ending was just perfect.

It can feel slow at times, but I didn't mind it, as it just emphasized how it's not that easy to change, and get over your own insecurities and made the moment the characters did get over it, so much more satisfying.

Recommend it, it's really worth reading!

I liked that the MC is smart, competent and doesn't need the ML to save him.

It was pretty good, although it dragged on for too long on the second half of the story. I think if it had been written in 100 chapters it would have been perfect.

Also as good as is the novel with logical plot lines I still don't get why the ML married the original MC in the first place. Yes, his mother wanted him to be lucky, astral signs, blah blah, but an amulet would have... more>> made the same job. Just my opinion but it doesn't fit with the characters. <<less
