Xie Yang struggled in the post-apocalyptic world for many years until he was too tired to go on. Then he transmigrated into a young adult entertainment circle novel where the protagonists have easy, sweet, and satisfying lives.

The male protagonist of the novel is not just handsome and smart, he’s also reborn. The female protagonist of the novel is not only beautiful and works hard towards her dreams, she also has a cheat in her hands.

There’s a lot of male and female supporting roles, each having pretty face, nice figures and someone strong behind them. Get into any one of their bodies, and he could close his eyes and just enjoy life. But he didn’t. Instead he transmigrated into a young idol secretly married to the biggest villain of all — the male protagonist’s maternal uncle.

His title is husband but it’s more like a nurse. Because this novel’s biggest villain is a terminally ill patient who is gloomy and sick in the head (actually sick). Their marriage was to counter the bad luck (illness).

This is such a sweet love story! I'm not a fan of tsundere characters but the ML was growing on me and I can see how much he has grown by the end. MC has been so patient with him and ML always pushed through his shell to reciprocate MC's feelings. A beautiful love they have for each other ❤️

Love their relationship dynamic, ML is different than usual in that he's a tsun like other commenters say. But what I really want to clarify is the face-slapping thing? Everyone says he does it repeatedly but I don't think so? I'm at this point where there's a wen yao actress who repeatedly NG in a scene that includes slapping the MC and it really triggers me how its settled. Like does she have a brain damage? I know she might still have remaining influence from the og FL but only... more>> thru a rumor, and who actually hits a person just because of a rumor? And the conclusion is nothing happened to her because MC made her understand. That's it, I'm very unsatisfied so how is it 24/7 face-slapping when most of the characters eventually becomes the MC's ally even tho they acted on him unprovoked.

Near the end, I guess the author find it boring that the last villain was taken care of and there was no one making trouble with the MC. But the bullying by a certain foreign model feels so unnecessary and random, like that's the only role he have. Maybe I just don't know that much about models, but it feels forced? He's a model but he's also a rapper with tattoos. For someone so popular, is the brand that he works for not that good or high class for having such models like that? For a fashion brand isn't it important to have good reputation, why would they hire a rapper.. <<less

I was initially hesitant to review this work due to its length and perceived dullness in January. However, after two months, I find myself replaying charming scenes between the main characters in my mind.

I rate this novella 5/5. Even without re-reading, it has been stored in my subconscious as an enjoyable piece of literature. Credit is due to the author and translators.

The characters in the text have unique personalities; one is confrontational while the other is a reserved, inexperienced businessman with a cold temperament and a kind heart. This has a typical transmigration plot, having the entertainment industry as the focus rather than the transmigration itself. There are many face-slapping moments that I always love, especially in a showbiz setting. But what I loved the most about this danmei is the MC and ML themselves.

A sickly, thin-skinned, adorable tsundere ML with a sharp mouth but soft heart and a clever, cunning and talented MC who can outwit and outplay those who provoke him and knows how to handle his tsundere husband. They might have a clashing... more>> personality at first glance, but they complete each other pretty well. No one else can deal with them but each other.

Their relationship growing from a forced marriage to 'landlord and tenant' relationship agreement and slowly but smoothly creeping up to a more intimate and romantic relationship. The transition of their relationship is so subtle and smooth that it feels so natural. Their hilarious banter from the very start is what hooked me so much. And I loved the fact that even if other people misunderstood ML's tsundere nature because of his poisonous tongue and the permanent scowl on his face, MC can still see through the surface very early on. The way he always provoke the ML into blushing by stripping him out of his hard exterior and manipulate him into speaking his real thought. It also warms me that both of them will do literally ANYTHING for each other and has an equal dedication and love. I swear, they have so much chemistry that I don't mind seeing their interactions more even after the plot ended.

Even though I loved the characters more, this also has a real plot other than just purely face-slapping. Reading this felt like I was watching a celebrity drama while eating popcorn. Highly recommend this to all modern danmei readers! <<less

I almost stopped reading because of bad translation of some chapters but I'm glad I didn't.

I will only say that this is a really good story. The plot is good, the flow of the story is good, the characters are well made and not 'cardboard', the ending is good. I'm only hoping that I can re-read this again with better translations all throughout the chapters.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like this story deserved one. I would love to give this 5 stars, but the only small thing that bugs me is the fact that the book is a little too long. I feel like the author could’ve wrapped it up much earlier than they actually did. From the plot to the characters, everything is so interesting and feels so 3D (if that makes sense). From what I saw, there were no plot holes either, so there’s that. Great story. There is even an explanation of why Xie Yang (MC) transmigrated. But I would like to know more about his original world where there was an apocalypse.

Although part like how he is super talented it make me jealous.🥲

And some parts that don't make sense like the fact that there is no connection between this life abilities and the original world. I am not saying it is bad, I mean if the author keeps his features like bloodlust or mental breakdown then this story would be broken... But I... more>> think that was because I'm more into stories with fall down or fantasy themes.

I feel like I should write a review for this novel, as it is one of my favourites. I am always coming back to it when I am in a reading slump or am feeling down.

Lets start with the story:

The story starts with nothing original. It is about MC (Xie Yang) transmigrating into a book he read a while ago. He occupies the body of a cannon fodder that is destined to die and decides to change his fate. He meets the og bodies husband, to whom he got... more>> sold to by his father. The story is mostly about faceslapping and turning around the fate of his husband (Qiu Xing) who is terminally ill with brain cancer. There are some fun (and a bit unhinged) twists at the end. So its worth sticking around.

It is noteworthy that there is a lot of netizen talk and weibo plays a huge role for the face slapping in this series. It is after all a showbiz series.

Characters:

Xie Yang (MC) : He is a musical (and it turns out also an acting) genius. He is very smart but also kind and compassionate. Yes, the MC is OP but he has his charms and he loves to tease the ML.

Qiu Xing (ML) : He is just a big vinegar jar and I love him for it. He is so tsundere and constantly jealous. But at the same time he respects MC so he isnt going to far. Yes at the beginning there are struggles in their relationship because of his cowardice but its still just super sweet. He acts all mighty but just consists of 50% vinegar and 50% sugar.

Relationship:

Their relationship is so sweet and heartwarming. They protect each other and try to understand each other. It is a slow burn series and it takes a while for them to establish their realationship but that doesnt mean that it isnt filled with dog food during the way. There is so much flirting. I will mention (as some critizised this and dropped it right away before the relationship is more fleshed out), their relationship starts because of money. As I mentioned before MCs father sold him to ML and MC turns it around and makes a deal with ML. Yes, Xie Yang is in it for the money at first but it changes overtime. The relationship slowly develops and you experience it with them.

Conclusion:

This series isnt the most original, realistic, most beautifully written or best translated stories out there BUT I still think its worth reading it. It became the only series I am constantly finding myself rereading. The story is just like hot chocolate or a fruit tea: sweet and heartwarming. If showbiz and weibo faceslapping is nothing for you and you hate that, this series is not for you. But if it doesnt bother you, I really advice you to give it a try. I am giving it 5/5 stars because even with the stories flaws it just touched my heart. <<less

Transmigration + sweet romance + evil villains plotting evil things.

Xie Yang is one of the smartest characters I've ever encountered; both in the progression of the changing story and his relationship with his husband.

... more>> He's landed in a new world that is actually the book he just finished reading and has to navigate carefully so he doesn't end up with a tragic ending.

The story constantly changes from what was written so he must constantly change to anticipate the other characters next moves, and at the same time, try to save his husband's life – who he is growing to care for.

Thankfully, his apocalyptic past arms him with skills and courage he'll need to survive. <<less

Their love is beautiful. They are so tolerant of each other and their relationship developed so naturally despite the initial circumstances. I didn't expect the male lead's personality to be so soft and cute as his character setting was a ceo. And they're a really smart power couple who don't eat losses! Translation is great as well!

Great read! The pacing of the story is fantastic. Strong MC who is cunning. MC lived a hard life before transmigrating and used his survival instincts to thrive in his new life. What would be a painful life for us is cakewalk for a post apocalyptic survivor.

Seriously, come read how Yang Yang overcomes the trials of life and love. You won't regret it.

I love this so much???? Omg.

I don't usually like reading about this kind of dynamic between the MLs. But it's done so sweetly. I fking love them. (I've never really enjoyed tsunderes but this ML just took my heart.)

I was so sad when it ending and really teared at the last chapter. :') I'm not ready to part. T-T

this is the only one so far that I'll possibly reread. And bcs of this I'm gonna go look for more similar kinds. :')

It's great.

The plot is a bit typical but the main leads are well developed. The romance doesn't happen overnight as we can see it gradually blossoms. It's been a while since I finished this novel but I think it could use some trimming, as round 130 chapters would be more than enough for its main plot.

I don't like the ogMC's ending as I find it too abrupt. I didn't really care much about other villains either because they're not that interesting.

Anyway, it's still a good read.

Nowadays, I base my rating on how fast or slow I can finish a story. I notice it takes me longer to finish if I'm not into the story. I stop when I start disliking it. I finished this novel FAST. Gave me what I'm looking for in a story: nice plot / storyline, great characters (mains and sides), character growth, made me laugh and/or chuckle, made me shed a tear or two (ok fine, had to take out some tissues), made me wish I was in love, and wished... more>> it was longer but still happy with the ending. So, definitely a 5/5 for me.

I love the slow burn romance between the MC and ML. It wasn’t forced, and it wasn’t dragging. It developed naturally between them. So adorably sweet and entertaining to read! I love their banter the most.

I love the fierceness and cleverness of both mains. I extremely, absolutely hate doormat characters so I loved reading through the story. I don’t have to roll my eyes to s*upidity. Thank you, author!

I don’t cry about death. I didn’t expect to get emotional about Mother Qiu’s last moments. I love how Xie Yang gave her hope in her final moments. What mother would want her child to die? Xie gave her the hope she wanted so she can leave peacefully. I love moments like this.

This isn’t the typical “system administrator” story (or at least different to the few stories I’ve read), in case you're hesitant about that. It isn’t overly used (some inserts in some parts of the story).

I liked the short back story about system (why it exists, etc). Gave answers to majority of what is usually a plot hole in this type of stories.

Conclusion: I recommend this novel to anyone (no ifs or buts). Not too fluffy, not angsty, not too “system administrator”, and not dragging. Basically, a nice flow and balance to the story. <<less

I love this novel.

The romance is paced well and is just so fluffy. It feels like a very real relationship. Yes, the drama of the novel is very unrealistic and dogblood, but the teasing relationship between the MC and ml, and the natural progression of their feelings just felt very real. It's refreshing.

The novel is extremely sweet and fluffy with lots of face slapping and dog blood. There is even some angst.

Qiu Xing and Xie Yang's dynamic is actually engaging. The banter is cute.

... more>> Not all the side characters are brutally faceslapped to the point it's overkill. Some of them get "redemption."

Cons

Netizens, black fans, hot search.....I was sick and tired of the online community while reading this. There was always something each chapter.

The final antagonist felt so sudden but I suppose the character was mentioned early on. That's a me problem.

With all honesty. I feel like this story could've been shorter. Like I've never been so relieved to have a story over and done with. <<less

I have to say, this was one of my most favorite reads.

This is the type of story that uses implications to make you understand that both of our protagonists are adults. They're not stumbling children that can't speak a word to each other.

They've both been through things and they think and act for themselves in a way that their character would. None of their actions seem jarring or misplaced.

... more>> It's a healthy relationship that both of the protagonists respect.

And the focus on the MC's career makes it better for me.

This rating is my personal rating.

For other I would end up putting it at around a 3.5 or 4.

It's slow. Especially dragging in the second half. For those who want all the time romance, that isn't this novel.

For those who want a cold president and his little canary who can't do anything, this novel isn't it.

Yes, the MC is a little over the top and OP to point I wonder if he can call down the heavens to help him do stuff, his background is never fully explored or explained but I enjoy that.

Makes it seem like this wasn't just a story where every little detail is explained and shown, nor is it so obscure that you only know two characters.

It's a little world we don't know of and this is just a small snapshot. It can't contain everything but it contains enough to understand our characters, their personalities, and why they do the things they do.

I didn't expect to like this novel so much. It was supposed to be another BL read to kill time, and it turned out to be a really good novel. I'm not fond of showbiz and idol-related plots, but here they are so well conducted that they were one of my favorite parts, and the descriptions of Young Young's songs.... Oh, the author and translator did a great job! Without hearing the music, they were able to sensationally put me in the mood with words!

I liked MC from the first... more>> moment, ML much later, but at one point he bought me fully and I was amused by the reactions of this fearful mouse. Their relationship is very well built. You can see that they are a power couple and they share something deep. Their interactions entertain and move you.

I really sincerely recommend it (so much so that I gave a review here for the first time). <<less
