I like it but it is a slow burn romance. The author likes to tease the readers with the interactions and how they are not aware of their feelings and stuff. Gosh it was frustrating for almost half a chapter. Then the family drama.

Oh boy the juicy stuff. I'd say it's a rather satisfying conflict but I feel like it felt a bit rushed to me. Sure the whole paying back was satisfying but there are something that lacked that feeling justice is served. But then that just a nitpicks... more>> of mine.

The whole relationship between the two started of rough. ML might feel like someone you want to avoid at all cost but in reality he was one awkward boy who couldn't even opened up or having friends that may or may not trying to take advantage of him. And MC is rather selfish but very compassionate in both relationships and his career.

It's rather seldom that we have two boys who doesn't realize they like each other until atone point they realize on their own that "eureka!" moment.

Even after they got together their chemistry are pretty great.

Ending is pretty well rounded. It has it's touching moments and it is rushed a bit but it didn't hindered the story much really.

I give it a 4.5 for this novel. <<less

This is worth to reread. I like the author, as well as the characters and the plot. This may be the usual rebirth plot, but this is one of those rare rebirth danmei novels where the MC was reborn, but not only to change his life, but also to change ML's life. Also, it is the ML - who wasn't reborn, seeking revenge here and the MC only acts the guide, whereas the other rebirth plot danmei novels is the MC seeking revenge.

But I believe it's a great novel. It just that I can't really stand really slow burn romance combined with badly splitted chapter and some error

This novel deserves moreeee than just a 4.3. I have put off this novel for quite a long time because of the reviews saying MC is too naive for a 33 y.o or the ML is somebody who thinks with his c*otch and they are unlikeable. Excuse me?? MC is naive, sure, but he's not dumb. You don't just expect him to be oh so wise or become a plotting god just because he's a 33 y.o man who gets reborn. He uses his photography skill to slowly change his... more>> fate and gains experiences as he interacts with the ML and helps him prevent accidents. They coincidentally meet every 20 seconds? (Exaggerated) Isn't it because the reason MC is reborn is exactly to help ML? Or maybe you prefer to know it as destiny :)

The ML also kind of just falls in love with the MC, but you get to see him realize it steps by step. He gets confused with his feeling, tries to understand it, before he finally understands that it is love. He also isn't one of those domineering yandere ML that thinks 'I definitely have to get him to like me no matter what'. He restrains himself, spends a lot of time trying to figure out the MC's sexuality. The MC does the same as well. As I read I keep finding myself thinking, oh how great it is to have somebody who loves you so sincere and gently.

The only thing I find frustrating might be that the romance blooms quite late, around chapter 57 in the raw or chapter 128 of the translation, they both only discover their feeling then.

This is my thought on the romance, you may think otherwise, but at least try to read it further before giving low reviews. <<less

I don't know why many people don't like this novel. At first it was boring, indeed. The more chapters I read, I was interested in what happened to the next story ☺ and I really like this novel, full of fluff ?

Light read, good plot, cute MC and caring ML, I love the ML is not so overbearing and the couple interaction are so cute, full of fluffy stuff and dog food.. Very recommended ?

I'd give this story 3.5-4 stars as it is pretty good but I'm dropping it at Ch 270 because basically everything seems to be resolved and I've lost interest to see it to the end. I find the ML family drama too exhausting to keep up with. His stepmother is just another 2D brainless villain overwrought with jealousy. And his step siblings are so incredibly idiotic and spiteful. I had held out hoping there would be something more than the dog blood family soap opera, but ultimately gave up.

The upside... more>> is that the main pairing dynamic is heartwarming and comedic. ML is such a wife s*ave ? MC's photography career development started interesting but is too smooth/easy so it got old fast (e.g. Everything he does is just so great and unique, wow never seen before ?) In general, pretty easy lighthearted read. <<less

A story about a photographer's love life after rebirth because he's still single despite his age at his previous life. With a bit of family drama from the ML's complicated family, this novel is 90% all about eating dog food. Get ready for a feast!

This novel is slow paced and well described and written. No unnecessary and repetitive description. The plot is just the same with what you see in dramas on TV. It's not really unique but I found myself indulged in the story.

He Bai (MC) is very logical... more>> and relatable character here, he grabs every opportunity comes to prevent poverty at first. Di Quihe (ML) on the other hand is the sweetest treasure here. Despite of his lame character at the first couple of chapters (where he pretends), later on the story you will definitely love him, he is caring and loves to tease He Bai, It's really refreshing to read a ML who is not a yandere. The supporting characters are well written as well, they didn't feel like air. The villains are just shameless and brainless. I think the story will get better if drama is balanced with the fluffiness and give the villain a good screentime to let the mains to struggle a bit. I mean since the drama started it's foundation, it should be laid good. About the extras, there's a lot going on there and I think it should be long, but oh well... since it's finished, can't do anything about that.

Overall it's actually a great read, despite of the translation's mixed words sometimes, it's pretty good and I like it a lot. I don't normally react when I read romance stories but this made me giggle and smile a lot. Definitely worth it and recommended <<less

The MC is a photographer who captures a mu*der one night and is given a second chance. The rest of the novel is about their relationship and the author trying to give us all diabetes. It's such a sweet story! You have to love it!

This is a 6.5/10. It is by no means bad, we have a power bottom and a gentle ML, but it tends to be a little slow at some points. A pleasant read nonetheless. The plot is okay, the characters decent. There is not many bad things this book has, but it isnt anything that will change your life. The author never claimed it is either, so if you want a soft slow burn love story that wont require your full attention as it is not particularly complex, here you... more>> are. <<less

Loved it! It is such a lovely read and I loved the characters and their friendship and love. It was very satisfying and had little angst which I love.

The CP are soo sweet and should be cuddled and protected ????????????

Well, nothing new in this story. Author just wrote things way too easier for ML & MC to enjoy nicely with such disgusting family background of ML. Particularly what I hate about this novel is "Romance between the leads".. It's exactly like puppy love lol so childish, sometimes I found it so irritating to read and it's nothing funny at all the way both behaves like a choding. And strangely ML fell in love with MC so soon and there ain't any possible explanations on how MC tied his fate... more>> with ML on both the lives (it was mentioned by ML & his friend in 1st life that MC must have owed him much in his previous life to be mascot in this (1st) life but it wasn't explained well).

And mainly author doesn't do much work on details explaining photography well also many important things in the story. <<less

If you get past the first 100 chapters of actual nonsense, then the story becomes a lot more enjoyable, but boy did I struggle to get past the first 100 chapters. I had to double check a few times to make sure I wasn't reading some AU fanfiction because of the sheer absurdity of everything. The plot is mediocre at best, romance is okay. MC is the trusting naive type while ML is repressed yet devoted, nothing too surprising.

I'm unsure if it's a translation issue or if it's the way... more>> the story is written, but the prose is terrible. This is a BL version of the popular "CEO/celebrity loves me" genre and unfortunately like most of the novels in this genre, it's not very good. <<less

Felt like the story was badly written or rushed in translation. It’s a good storyline just felt choppy. Loved the MC and ML. No angst within their relationship it’s just a matter of realizing and sealing the deal. Story is PG no R scenes. Very quick and okay read in between waiting for your fave novel to be translated.

Fluff with a decent plot. This is one of those novels that you read when you're lonely and sad.

Good:

  • MC: I love him, he went through rebirth and used it to his advantage. Didn't lose his adult reasoning unlike other MCs lol
  • Character dynamics: Everyone was a nice touch to the story. No unnecessary story for the side charas. Sure, they aren't shown much but they're introduced in a way you won't forget them even if it's been a few chaps since their last appearance.

  • Plot Progress: It has great pacing for more than half of the story BUT!! That last few chapters were really disappointing. They built up the issue with ML's family only to shrug it off? Guess they wanted it to end asap lol

I wonder why people leave bad reviews on good books ?? Is it perfect? No, it's not. Was it a good read regardless? Yes, it was. I mean sure, the ML was overbearing and rude the first few chapters but later we found out why and as the book progresses he becomes such a cute, cuddly and clingy puppy.

He was raised by his step-mom and his good for nothing father. They used him, mistreated him, plotted against him and he learned how to wear a mask from a young age. He was always defending against such people and it was really hard for him to let anyone in.

As for the author not having knowledge on photography. WELL..., This isn't a "how to" book. The details were sketchy but they were very believable. As someone who knows nothing about photography and who doesn't really care either way I found the description just right. it didn't drag you into a lesson on how to take good pictures but it left you with the wonderful awe and aftertaste. I found it quite likable ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯

The MC I admit was rather childish at first especially considering he was 30something when he was reborn but he grew up a lot after he got together with the ML. And isn't that why we love to read books? So we can witness amazing character development and growth?

The translation was a little off but that's probably because they didn't have an editor. I originally gave this book a 3.5 ⭐ but then I rounded it off to a 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because of the fluff <<less

I found both of them very cute and easy to like. And when they get together they are sooo lovely! You'll be given a lot of dog food!

Ps- the shou is not the "I'm not gay, Im a straight manly man" which is a plus for me. He accepts that he's in love with a man and doesn't have a problem with it.

The gong appears in the begging black bellied but that's just because he doesn't understand his feelings. Once he does he becomes a doting and pampering hubby.

The beginning is good and unique but then I found that there is nothing special. The romance is supposed to slow burn but I didn't wait for it. Although I like the MC but it can't change my rating. Everything else just an average, a light read in your spare time.

Definitely worth reading. Really love the interaction between He Bai and Di Qiuhe. He Bai didn’t expect that he would embark on a completely different way of photography after he was born again. Di Qiuhe didn’t expect that he would fall in love with a schoolboy who seemed to be a paparazzi at the first sight. But all the courting later on is just sweet and hilarious.

This novel is simply wonderful. The fates of our MC and ML have been connected starting from the moment of the rebirth of MC. This book is full of sweetness and fluff. Definitely a breath of fresh air from all of those angsty novels.
