This was a short and sweet read! There's great romantic/s*xual tension between the two and it was hilarious seeing their little cat and mouse dynamic. There aren't that many plot twists or angst of any sort, so I'd recommend this for people who prefer fluff over angst. I personally would give this a 7/10 overall because the story wasn't my type, but don't get me wrong, it's translated so well and could easily be a higher rating for others who like this setting!

As alot of reviewers said, they had put off reading this novel at 1st, then after some times start reading this gem. Lol me too! Maybe it’s the background setting or the start of MC special hobby. But after reading this novel you can’t step out how adorable and straightforward these cp are! You will love their dynamic, straightforward flirting and their interaction. Even the crazy side cps have a good stories. Overall it’s very entertaining read, with the mysteries, the lives in prisons, the stock market plays, really makes... more>> a good movie play. This is the biggest hidden gem! The writing style is really my taste. The characters MC and ML (hot) are both (power couple) so great!

So recommended because of, the funny mutual conversations, many flirting, the wishful thinking by Jiang Chijing (and Zheng Mingyi- after), and lots of s*xual tension.

One of the best novels I've ever read (2e on my list;))

Quite unique plot though I don't think that's what prison life is like usually. Interesting characters and the pairs in this novel are all super cute. It's my first time reading something about voyeurism and fetish but I think that it was we written.

The 'smut' part was literally described as oatmeal and milk and I almost died at that part cause it was too hilarious. Got a great laugh while reading this. Not too long and not too short. Should be able to finish it in a day.

Hmm all in... more>> all, the ML is not as bad as he looked or behaved at the start. The MC's character and attitude towards the inmates also surprised me a lot since he didn't believe in absolute evil. I really liked the characters in this novel! <<less

One of if not the best book I've ever read. The world building and character designs are just beautiful, especially the MC and ML. I can (and have) read this over and over without getting bored or frustrated

Ngl. I was bored at the beginning just like any intro of novels but then the flow started to rise and I can sacrifice my sleep. The seme and uke's flirting is so fun that I'm also blushing ❤️

I have no idea why someone would rate this lesser than a 4. Like, I tried to get as nit-picky as I could and 4 is the lowest I could get, it's all subjective of course, but it deserves more than a 5 star.

Out of all the stuff I read this is definitely one of the most if not the best translated novel I have read.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself reading this and believe it or not it actually widened my vocab :D As someone who dreads re-reading, I assure you... more>> that I will be back. <<less

Impeccable novel! True to the description, it is "Fundamentally sweet, no angst." The main characters are dynamic and you see the gradual development of MC/ML relationship. The translation is top notch with an interesting plotline. Do give it a read, you will not regret this 5/5 novel!

It's worth reading for sure ⁄ (⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄) ⁄

It's smooth sailing, not too much conflict but it's just the right book for me to binge in a whole day.

I like how proactive both the MC and ML are everytime they flirt. they're very much made for each other, which I love so much^^

The translation is *smacks lips* Noice, especially the way the smexy lime are written. Sadly... there is no lemon.

Quick! Send them to h**ny jail! Everytime they do crazy sh*t I'm cringing and blushing hahahahaha....

What a refreshing relationship!

I've gotten so tired of the dynamic where only tops initiate any sort of intimacy and bottoms just suffer through it. It's so damn common and I have no idea why. Both sides being passionate (or full of filth like in this novel) is sooo much hotter.

Found this novel after scrolling for a long time, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! Definitely worth a read. Setting is unique, translation is fantastic and the story keeps you hooked. The main couple is easily one... more>> of my favorites out of dozens of bl novels I've read. <<less

Framed ML (but not really cuz he chose to go to prison knowing MC and his kink x Prison librarian with voyeuristic tendencies with kinks MC. No wait both has kinks for one another actually... who am I to define ahaha 🥲. But really, this is wholesome. Would like to have those kinks explicitly written when they do the do but meh, what can I say if there's none. Gotta just be satisfied with the lil bits and crumbs. [*edit] Btw don't get me wrong, just cuz their deed was not written explicitly and this is wholesome stuff doesn't mean mature genre tagged here is useless hehe. You'll know when u read 🤭

note: I wanted to rate this atleast four or 3.9 or something but but butttt when I click it it keeps going to 3.0! So annoying ! So I gave up on rating it... but then it save the 3.0.... oh so sad TwT

I couldn't find the extrassss, anyway I am here to say that this is a pretty good light read. The story is pretty sweet not much misunderstanding. No angst at all, in my impression. The real villain that I thought only show up in the ending lol!... more>> He was really not like a villain here. If I say the most villainous guy here is in the inmates too. But anyway I won't say much. If upyo want a light read then this is pretty ok. <<less
