It started off as a 4 and maintained its position as a 4. It hit a 5 peaking around chp.400 and just crashed hard at around chp.500. Currently I'd say it's somewhere around 2-3.

The best way I can describe this novel is that it was a slow decent read that climaxed then the author had no clue what to do after the climax. The characters sort of fell apart and lost brain cells. The story lost cohesion and just kept dragging on. I stopped at chp.506 because a really dumb... more>> plot device happened that just completely turned me off from reading further. Out of curiosity, I skipped ahead to chp.630 and somehow that plot device only just came into play or came back to play.

Spoiler

There's this girl who loves MC and MC also loves her but they are forced to fight each other. MC trapped these powerful vengeful spirits that hate MC in his body and also want to possess him. MC is dying as result so the girl, the only person potentially strong enough to not get possessed besides MC, took in the vengeful spirits inside her instead. She got this necklace that helps her from being possessed. In the latest chapters around chp.630, she threw away this necklace because she was tired of bullsh*t so she is now possessed. I stopped reading at chp. 506 when MC is dying and his friends plan to ask the girl take his place. 124 chapters later, the girl FINALLY gets possessed or repossessed. Idk what happened in the middle or where the necklace came from but the fact that 124 chapters later and the girl only now gets possessed just shows how badly the author is stretching it out.

[collapse]

I don't recommend this novel. I feel disappointed by it. It just feels like the author just didn't think about what happens after the climax and forgot how to write or is just stretching out the story for no good apparent reason. I skipped 100+ chapters from when they were building up this epic final showdown and 100+ chapters later, they are still building up to this final showdown. It's like the older Dragon Ball anime where they scream for what seems to be 10 episodes charging up their powerful move while nothing is happening. Don't read this to avoid being disappointed later. <<less

As they say, too many cooks ruin the soup, but it only take one dumbass to ruin a novel.

MC is a socially inept and very dumb. Novel is sh*t by virtue of the main character.

Though I could see how you like it due to some interesting things that happen that can tickle your interest.

Just checked the tags, "calm protagonist" lmao

I'm going to own up to my mistake and be transparent, I only read the good reviews and went into this novel thinking that it was going to be similar, SIMILAR, to the novel's extra. I think it was because of the mindset I had going in that I was severely letdown, but at the same time hooked (?).

In one of the beginning chapters, the MC states that the novel he's been transferred into is a slice of life novel, and I chuckled to myself thinking "haha you're the MC,... more>> there's no way it's going to be a chill life for you, " and oh boy was I wrong. The amount of significant fights that has happened in the story up until chapter 90, I can probably count on one hand, but at the same time each fight holds more significance because there are so few. Some people might view this as a good thing, but again, like I said, with the mindset I had going into this, when I was reading, hoping for a fight to happen, it felt like I was waiting for a dad that went out to buy milk.

With my hurt feelings put aside, I think this novel is very well written, and if you're looking for a story that has significant fights and well written characters, you're in the right place. The only valid complaint I have would probably be the MC himself. The author made it so that the MC was more realistic. MC often complains that his memory isn't perfect like those protagonists sent into their own novels, and he often forgets plot elements, which is a good thing, like I said, as it makes it more realistic. But sometimes I can't help but think that the MC is too dumb? He feels really inconsistent at times and doesn't feel like someone who was sent into his own novel.

Spoiler

This is a very minor thing, but the MC often repeats what characters say and basically translates it into language even a kid would understand. I get that the author is trying to make sure the audience understands every sarcasm/hidden message/silver lining, but it happens in literally every conversation and it became annoying quite fast.

I'll say this from the start. The story for me is interesting, and a lot of things are pretty fresh. The writing and grammar is fantastic also. You won't be upset at how it's written, or the translation.

some + and - but mostly just -

But first and foremost. The MC is crap. (He's constantly contradicting himself, also acting like a f*cking tool).

it's a bit confusing tbh. He is portrayed at the beginning as a loner type otaku. Even first 10 chapters he is (beforehand) and was a wimp. But out... more>> of nowhere he can suddenly be (kinda) a bad ass, or a delinquent? I mean guys... he died from reading a rude comment. How could he be anything other than a pansy???

but. It drives me crazy he will flip flop this character back and forth that he's a wimp. Or gets super nervous. Then he becomes a complete a**hole. I don't get it. Unless he has a personality disorder.

#2. I really wish there was a little more clarification on his whole situation and what I'm assuming is a reincarnation. You really can't tell. It's supposed to be a punishment and he's dead. But I mean. That might just be me right.

#3 constantly get will bring up that this is his novel treating it like maybe a dream? Instead of real you'll constantly hear "I never wrote it like this", but you'll see where it's all over that EVERYTHING CAN CHANGE! You'll see something about it every 5 chapters and it's kinda annoying. We get it. Really. I dislike how he treats it as just a novel and not like he's really living it. Wish it would just drop it at this point except where it's relevant.

#4. this is really my problem why is it when someone who's not in the new body's age range which is less than double here have to constantly turn it into such a big deal that the new "love interests" are children?? I mean okay most are 17. And he was 30. But he treats them as baby's and can't be seen as a woman. Why? (Also for the record he will constantly say he feels nothing, but will stare at them. Make super awkward f*cking comments towards anyone... let alone the "children" you claim them to be...)

#5. He likes to be a super d*ck for no reason and that's another "my own problem with it" kinda deal. I don't get it. If only we could have clarification of he's making himself into that kinda character. That's the old body's personality. He claims it's self defense but proceeds to just be a d*ck to everyone all the time. And exceedingly so sometimes. He makes the problems 10x worse for god knows the reason.

#6. I guess I'll give some plus. He is given a good ability or potential I suppose and doesn't start off super op which is refreshing, his potential is op I guess tho. And his growth and development is pretty good I like that a lot. And I'm sure anyone reading this has no qualms with it if they are pretty versed in these genres.

#7. I dislike (and can't argue because it's what this novel is) how it goes into such detail and even multiple chapters to progress even 5 minutes into the story due to the amount of useless information. It kills the dialogue just to talk about some excess info, or to repeat what we already know. I won't complain a ton because to many novels have a lack there of on information. But I want to complain just a little. Or you'll get 2 paragraphs just to explain a novel instance when you've already seen it and most likely don't even care about it in the first place. But eh. Oh 🐳.

#8. Who TF is the heroine at this point? I mean really. The first one after 4 or 6 chapters is like lost in the wind and shows up to have like zero screen time now. Second comes in maybe once every 20 chapters? Third is one of the most extreme kurrderes and literally doesn't give a sh*t about a thing that you just wonder.. why? I love kuderes and the fact you made that personality really un approachable is kinda sad tbh. Beyond that there's a lot of potential nominees but we don't really see it. I understand slow romance but.. 80 chapters in and I can't even see a thing.

#9. there's a ton of mystery and sometimes it's Troubling to figure anything out whatsoever because there is not alot of buildup it just appears and gets shelved it doesn't get built on. Tbh if you don't pay attention I'm afraid alot of the conclusions will be utterly missed because you forgot how it even started. I'm also sad his potentials are so unused he really just seems like a kinda more special that a beggar. His development as just a character is the only thing to note. His overall physical development that is. His abilities are pretty stale. His personality... I don't have to remind you do I? He's a dick. The opinion on him is typically pretty negative. I don't know. I wish there was a bit more fluctuation tbh...

so. All in all it's interesting yes. And has alot of different ways it could go and I'll still read if, but I'm a bit disappointed at this point. I hope that it really turns up the heat and progresses. I don't think it's a waste now but. If it doesn't turn around even within the next 70 chapters I'll be pretty sad. It has alot of good points and strays from the deviation to where it's good. Great structure. Imagination. Diversity. Possibility. Wide range of characters as well. But it's stayed pretty constant already. I'll update if something fantastic comes or by all means starts to progress in a favorable way to where my concerns are misplaced.

ALSO just as I flip the next chapter why does he have to be so vulgar when he speaks to others. Of humans. He never curses or is a vulgar douche except when he talks condescending to others??? Like why is his disposition such a c*cksucker when he talks to others?? I don't understand it. Forreal tho the dense protagonist were all used to is a 180 degrees here. He plays coy like he doesn't understand why some people hate him or for instance "you're such a f*cking idiot". Person retaliates saying god knows what. In his head he will think "gosh what's their problem why do they act like that". While he's being a complete c*cksucker. I hate it.

SAYS CHARACTERS ARE CUTE AND f*ckING INTERESTING and f*cking continues to call them b*tch, idiots, and what not. Why.?? f*cking why. "I like your cute reactions" as he f*cking makes them cry. He's a sad*st when he speaks and acts oblivious to why people act the way they do when he's only patronizing and putting down others. Like I said his character confuses the utter sh*t out of me. Acts like he doesn't condone bullying and literally only does that. Says he's doing it to make sure not to be walked on. Clears that in literally 10 chapters and progresses to only get worse. In the end we best find out that he's only picking up what the old owner of the body used to be otherwise he's just literally a sh*t character for no reason. Says he doesn't want to be the second coming of the demon king but his personality is that of a pretentious c*ck sucking demon king. Like pick one or the other please. Be a good guy who your vampire subordinate wants you to be and not become an enemy of man kind or just become it and be done with it. Stop pretending.

ALSO IF YOURE SAYING YOURE NOT REALLY AN OLD MAN QUIT CALLING 17 YEAR OLDS CHILDREN, STOP MAIKING THEM CRY! AND STOP CALLING THEM f*ckING CUTE. PICK SOMETHING AND DO IT! <<less

I was almost turned away by a dumb decision/thoughtless action the MC made near the start (to be fair, he was probably starving and exhausted when he did it), but I kept reading and it was worth it. It's one of my favorite Korean novels as of now!

I really like the side characters. The female characters are also really lovable! I usually get annoyed at them, but these girls are well-written. I like how the romance? is hinted at and not something shallow/immediate.

The MC also seems pretty useless/dumb at the... more>> start, but he's actually kinda street-smart for a random Korean guy. He gets better over time. It's also nice that he isn't some a**hole... more of an as*hole with a golden heart XD

Also, it's a bit slow, but you can really tell things are being set up right now. It's gonna get hype! <<less

Started strong but ended weak, I was almost 200ish chapters in but the author just kept dragging it that I got bored and just read the spoiler for my peace of mind before dropping it. And I'm kinda glad I did cause I will just waste my time finishing this.

First half was amazing with tons of world and character building but 2nd half is a sh*t show soap opera.

3/5, it's overall alright but still disappointing because of all the wasted potential. It could've been better.

Good story with amazing side characters that actually contribute to the plot.

I'm quite vexed however as you can see by the tags that there's polygamy. I'm not really a fan of a harem ending but the story and characters are just too good. Also, the translations are quiteslow compared to the amount of chapters there are. In fact, through a quick estimation, it would take at least 150 weeks until this is fully translated as there's 5 chapters per week which is quite annoying.

Overall, the story is objectively great with... more>> a mix of slice of life with dark undertones to it and plenty of action scenes.

Just read it and you won't regret it. <<less

I dropped at chapter 39. This is like ["Isekai Hero vs Demon King world" story, but the author tried his best to make it actually good]... but failed miserably. It's like a messing mixture of every single idea from the isekai, the novel's extra, etc.. to be executed in the most rush-up way possible. The characters definitely have some unique personalities... well, at first... but it soon turns 2D and behaves forcefully contradicting their beliefs (to try to make some romance, or try to make MC look cool it... more>> is not). MC seems like a different person after the first few chapters, getting more and more childish as each chapter passes (from slightly childish to unbelievably childish). The slice of life writing style is dry with an I-am-trying-hard-to-make-this-hilarious undertone, which is lengthy and... mmm, tiresome to read. Most of the time, it is a rant or knowledge dump. Cuz the main point of the story lies in the academy arc, patience is required to read till there... just to realize that the best part is the one you have just read in the speed of light.

Seem like the author is darn lost after the first few chapters with no idea whatsoever to continue. All in all, this story becomes mediocre just like the original story of MC, and a waste of potential consider its interesting start. Maybe it is better if the author knows to prioritize what information should be delivered first, what later, or be hidden in the background. Cuz the order of info of the story is a mess, I think this is the reason why this feels so much like a draft after a while. Re-write, or pick up the core to convert it to manhwa may be worth considering another read, but at the state of it now: 3/10 not recommend. <<less

the First 20~ chapters are boring as hell but If you get pass that then everything will be fun and interesting.

I liked the MC a lot and the side characters are also good that I want to see more of them, the character I'm most interested in is Bertus who was the villain of the original novel, he seems fun and dynamic even though we don't get to see him much.

It's basically "The Novel's Extra" but way more dynamic and has an MC that isn't annoying.

Rather mediocre overall as far as I read it.

It's just a generic transmigration story from Korea. Author wrote a book, he got sent into it, he replaced one of the characters... blah, blah, blah. The premise is a total cliche, and the only interesting thing is that the author put a small spin on it, and it is that the author (in the story, not this novel's author) wrote meh novels, and is being punished for it by having to confront his creation. However, we have seen it in an... more>> earlier story, The Novel's Extra, and the latter did a much better job. Actually, I think this novel (which came out this year anyway) was inspired by TNE, or maybe even copied parts of it. The protagonist being an author, the school setting, the replacement of an important character, the ability to edit the setting, it's all in TNE.

The protagonist is pretty boring and mediocre. He's pretty cynical, and has various personality issues, so at least the novel isn't trying to go for a perfect gary stu, but it doesn't really help much when the protagonist is still fairly boring. Compared to TNE, the protagonist also has a system, but doesn't really know what he's doing, and is swayed by other characters much more. The only slightly innovative part was the protagonist coming into contact with characters and events he created, and feeling remorse when seeing those directly involved suffer.

Other characters also fall behind those in TNE. We have slight drama, but TNE did it much better by going into the characters' psychology in detail. The Demon Prince doesn't really do that. The author knows other characters (and what was nice and realistic was that he doesn't remember a lot of details about them, while in many transmigration novels the one entering a novel/game world has too much of a photographic memory) somewhat, but that's about all the insight we get into other characters. Perhaps we should consider this an "unreliable narrator" case.

So, to sum up, the other characters aren't really fleshed out. They are either mysteries that you don't know anything about, or they're pretty much boring stereotypes (eg. utterly loyal retainer, someone who can't fight the instincts of their body, smiling villain, and so on).

Also, by chapter 72, I have no idea why this is considered romance/harem. Honestly, all (potential) love interests are rather dull, and there's no real development so far between them and the protagonist. In fact, I'm not surprised, because not only are those love interests boring (or unexplored enigmas that we don't know shiet about), the protagonist is just as lacking in attractive or interesting features, so it's hard to blame girls for not falling for him (lmao).

Overall, I'm not really thrilled. The plot was pretty boring. Developments and setting are both far from interesting, and reading the last 20-30 chapters I did read was a chore. The protagonist doesn't really know what he wants to do, and he's being carried by the flow. He kind of trains, but doesn't really make any big progress. He kind of uses system, but actually doesn't, and isn't even trying to rack his brains to find ways to ab*se the advantages the system provides him.

Maybe the story picks up later, but I can't really see it as anything more than a clumsy The Novel's Extra copycat. The novel is dated for 2021, but there are already 500 or so chapters by now, which implies a pace of 2-3 chapters daily from the author. Can he really write a good story like that? I can't really work up any expectations. I mean, even TNE had a lot of crappy elements, but its good elements were good enough to compensate for them, yet this novel neither excels where TNE didn't nor has the excellent elements TNE shone with.

Disappointing. <<less

This novel is really good, I have no idea why I didn't hear of it before! It definitely gives The Novel's Extra vibes, but I feel the characters have more depth. It doesn't feel very harem-ish to me either, so maybe it depends on perspective lol. I feel it has a lot of original elements to it too, like the way the MC solves problems. It's quite refreshing to read a novel with a smart MC for once :D Also, the translation is amazing, I only saw a few minor... more>> spelling mistakes through 80 chaps! Definitely recommend! if only the author reduces the unnesessary info/repeating things he just said a while ago and MC whinning and try to atleast progress with the plot.

i kinda want to see the Gates appearing in this world, since MC said he messed with the story halfway and decided to put Gates that summon monster all over the world. Also the time where MC identity will be revealed I'm anticipating about how his hard earned friends will react to it, will they save him despite being a demon? Or they'll turn their backs on him? Thats the things I look forward to,

This novel was quite a surprise for, I expected to drop this after a few chapters but ended up liking it a lot.

I could see how people would not like it as after the prologue is over, most of the succeeding chapters feel more like a slice of life. In addition, the MC is rather pathetic, hot-headed and petty. However this personality of his just makes his interactions with the other characters entertaining which is the strong point of slice of lifes for me. His personality might be that way... more>> but he isn't overpowered, in fact he is considered the weakest in his class, but he isn't a pushover either. This feels rather refreshing for me since such an MC is rather in such similar settings as this novel. Most of the side characters that get a significant amount of screen time are also rather entertaining as well despite being character tropes. The tsundere character is rather cute and adorable despite being quite annoying during the early chapters. Also bonus points for this novel not having scenes where she beats up the MC unreasonably. The kuudere slowly opening up to the MC was entertaining and they honestly look perfect together.

This novel has several problems (such as the needless iteration of statements at times) but it had enough good things going for it for me to enjoy. Hopefully it stays good as Korean novels have a reputation to become stale after a certain period of time. <<less

I'm really loving this WN. The MC is truly a crazy bastard.

It's one of the few novels where -

  • The MC is not a ret*rded 80y old virg*n isekai (ed) teen gary-sue.
  • The academy is actually interesting.
  • The world building is not a info-dump and a lot is explained only when it's relevant.
  • Don't have 300 chapters explaining how to cook or how rice is amazing (It's not).
  • All characters with personality! So far no waves of faceless harem girls frowning over the MC for no reason.
But... There's some flaws you will need to get... more>> over, like his rambling and some info being relevant only to people that knows a little about Korea. Or how the Cheat Shop is kinda unbalanced. Or how the plot slow a little before the academy. <<less

I feel disappointed. The translated chapters at the time of writing this review were 64. I went through the raws myself since I was so interested in the early premise of the novel.

I was looking forward to interesting developments, but it was a letdown.

Spoiler

The basic premise is that the MC transmigrated into one of his novels in order to atone for his sins during life. The novel of choice is "The Demon King is Dead" which is a slice of life novel after the defeat of the Demon King that transforms itself into a weird gate diving history. Everything is great until chapter 25 where the MC decides to go to the academy in order to become stronger and stop the future crisis that he made while he was alive.

Then everything goes wrong. The Author gives the MC the most broken ability that there is: "Self-Suggestion", which transcribes into "if the MC strongly believes in something, that thing will happen", which is basically "reality manipulation". The problem is that the MC starts going around playing the hero instead of focusing on getting stronger. He forgets that he is now the new Demon King and that makes him the enemy of the Empire and humanity. He takes too many unnecessary risks that would not help him in the long run for mere self-satisfaction, and that he will be killed if his status is discovered.

Ugh, I'm tired but I'll still write this review to the best of my abilities. I want to get this out there, but I may be biased to this novel due to how much I loved it at first sight. I still hold this dear to my heart. It was also one of the first novels I read. I'll cover pretty much the important parts without spoiling the actual events. Well... I'll do my best I guess.

I've read this for a while now, when the translator was still solo-carrying... more>> us on his back while it had around 200 translated chapters (I think it was 150 or less, but I've forgotten). I'll break it into action, world-building and romance/harem so it has some structure and is easier digestible. This is going to be long, but well... I like being thorough; superficiality is for the weak.

In short, the first 430~ chapters are pure gold. The action is good; Character development is good; Romance is good; Story is good; Pacing is good; Writing is good; Everything is simply great. And here is where things go wrong. After 430~ the author simply chooses to discard his strongest card, the academy trope and forego to a worse one. From 430~ until around 700, everything has gone down in quality. From amazing -> decent/good. This is also what a lot of people talk about, the abysmal fall-off. Still, the chapters are not garbage, but certainly worse. Its like being served the Gods nectar and then going to Big Macs, our palette is already spoiled, there is no way for us to go back to mortal food. This is also why recommending this novel can be difficult to some. You are given the greatest gift before descending the fiery pits of earth and meeting the rest of us there. I could be overreacting though, who knows? Find out yourself.

I just want to mention that most things written below are regarding chapters 0->430. The negatives are already mentioned above, and you can understand that the positives will go slowly downhill. I will write a small paragraph about it at the end as well! Do not worry.

The [story, world, plot, lore], basically whatever you want to call it, of this novel is not anything exceptionally unique. It is a typical reincarnation inside a novel, but the minor twist here is that the MC is also the author who has written the novel. The MC, a novel-writer, was infamously known for his bad writing skills. More so, he was known for his amazing skills at screwing up his novels. He would write an amazing novel for the first half, before ruining it by the later half... wait... this sounds familiar? Oh- its exactly what the real author did. It seems he has attained foresight by the grace. To be able to predict the future.

The actual story begins with the MC, in his measly mortal body in earth, getting a cardiac arrest while reading hate comments. Dying, and is given the options afterward to:

A. go to earths lowest fiery pits due to his bad writing

B. Choose one of his own written novels, transmigrate to a random character, and (hopefully) survive there for a happy ending.

Our MC chooses B. He picks a story which starts after the end of a big war between humanity and the demons. It was supposed to be a slice of life happy story about the humans who have won the war, and are celebrating, but he did not wish for his novel to be too fun to read, so he inserted random gate incidents for variety... which also wipe out 90% (I think, otherwise 80%) of the world... The MC is, thus, transmigrated into the body of Valier, the last royal blood of the demon king. Jokes on him for thinking he can be a human and have an easy life, the grim reaper had our backs.

He has to somehow escape the palace where he is in, to... well... survive. And as you can judge by the chapter amount, he escapes. The first 20 chapters are basically a bit of lore dump, nothing too major, mostly the author informing us of the world structure, and the Academy which is certainly the most important story aspect. Three supporting characters are introduced, a blood-sucking vampire (please take me!), a lycanthrope (woof-woof), and a... a... ??? I forgot what the monster is called, but it's basically a shapeshifter. How they meet is something for you to discover. Anyhow, the shapeshifter gives Valier, the MC, his family heirloom which is a ring that can alter the users appearance. As you can guess by the title, due to unfortunate events (from the MCs perspective), he is enrolled into the academy, specifically in the royal class (which is the highest ranked class). Using the ring, he adopts the alias of Reinhardt, a war orphan, with a human appearance (no horns or red hair which is demon royalty's trademark features). He tries to not stand out, but it fails hilariously, so he adopts the stand of a bully... You heard me right, a 30-something y/o in spirit is now bullying fresh out of breast-milk brats (I think they are 16-18 y/o).

I forgot to mention his golden finger. He is given a system, containing his stats, abilities and so on. Funnily enough, he is F+ ranked in most stats, quite the useless fellow if I may say so myself. The system works on a point-based structure where he can alter and even get sneak-peeks of future events using those points! He can also buy skills and so, but they are veeeeery expensive, so he can afford only the lowest scrap. The way to get points is through missions and altering the future (so avoiding bad endings). The missions are... uh, quite interesting to say the least. The superior beings are basically torturing him with those. I think this covers the beginning of the story well enough. It's a good academy novel (430chap) before it becomes an okay civilisation sim 101.

The next topic I wish to cover are the characters. The characters are good. Me like Ellen... Ellen is life. Jokes aside, the characters are very good. Certainly the foundation of this novel. They are well written, with depth and emotion behind them. We have Valier/Reinhardt, our emotionally unstable MC (goes from calm->angry quicker than a Porsche goes in 0->60) ; Ellen, a cold and detached but exceptional swordswoman; Harriet, the strongest mage in the academy, daughter of the strongest mage in the continent; Charlotte, {Spoilers, I won't talk} ; Bertus, royal prince of the empire where the academy is in; Ludwig, MC of the novel which Valier/Reinhardt wrote. This is not even the basic cast, because more characters are introduced, in the first 50 chapters but I'm allowed to not remember every detail now, am I? Well, tl;dr the characters are amazing, and the bread and butter of this novel.

Now, the spicy part! Romance. This novel is a harem, it has a true harem ending, meaning no introduction of multiple love interests to be later thrown in the dirt. The romance is peak! Simply gold in my opinion. It's a slow burn, where the MC tries to get stronger to avoid the destruction of the world, while building closer ties to the characters. The female love interests do not fall in love quickly, so it's not a boring trope of: MC rizzing all girls through his strength, or shallow female characters with 0 emotional stability. It takes time for the romance to bloom, and it's satisfactory from our point of view... well... until chapter 430. Later on, it becomes more tedious and feels a bit of a sob story in minor parts. So tl;dr romance is a slow burn.

Lastly, I wish to talk a bit about this. I have bashed the novel multiple times for falling off. I felt the need to do so because while the first 430 chapters are absolutely a 10/10, the fall off is not small. It does not transition from 10/10 -> 9/10, it's more drastic. I personally say 10/10 -> 7.5/10, but most would say 5-6/10. And I can certainly agree and understand, I'm simply more tolerating in general (At least that's how I cope). The chapter from 430-750 go up and down in quality, sometimes regaining it's former charm, sometimes losing it. Some say the drop off is not that great, others say it's abysmal. I personally am between those varying opinions. So, for the last time, I warn thee. This novels is amazing early, but halfway starts getting worse. Still more than readable and enjoyable, but nowhere near it's glorious peak. However, I still believe it's a staple in academy & harem novels and is a must read.

Wish you the best in life, Goodbye🧐 <<less

Disappointing:<

It has a very good start. Though It was uneccesarily descriptive, It was also very immersive. The author should've stick with the slice of life and Highschool setting though.

Everything just went downhill near the end. It sucks because all that good build up and character development just for them to act inconsistently when It matters most is such a waste.I understand the betrayal really but I'm honestly just disappointed in them. They were my favourites too. Was genuinely looking forward for every side character, even the og* MC.

The MC can... more>> do better bro.

Also has the system ever been explained?? Idk 400-500 was just such a sham <<less
