ahhh this is such a cute story!!! The story mainly revolves around the romance of the mc's and most of their problems comes from the fight for the throne. If you're here to see some heavy drama then you're in the wrong story. The palace intrigue aspect is just perfect for me because the author is very meticulous when it comes to developing the relationship between the MC's.

LY is not outstandingly smart or a genius, but he is born in modern times and think as a modern man.

MTC is clever and very devoted to his fish (later became his wife lol).

Babies is very cute, but so many!

Overall this story is acceptable.

One of the best BL novels I've ever read. Dang, there's no plot holes (for me) and all the mysteries and secrets have been found throughout the story just right. It was not too fast or too slow. The communication between the MC and ML is so satisfying and good. Like the whole story was so good, the author really thought about the plot and how the narration will be carefully. I loved it because it's fun, light, and sweet. I should rate this a 5 but the development of the story is not that deep and it's full of plot holes, so for this I should rate this a 2. In the end in rated this a 4 because if you can shut your brain of selectively when encountering a plot holes, the story is easy to read and really, really fun. I likes it and read it to the end, just try it yourself !

I did not think I would enjoy this novel but I really did. At first it was difficult for me to get invested because the MC was literally flopping around as a fish. But then you start meeting the characters and it quickly turns into a romance with a really good court politics plot.

The characters are all pretty interesting. I think something that I really liked was the fact that the MC is pretty empathetic. He can see the perspective of other people and has enough emotional intelligence to bury the hatchet with people that may not have been the most welcoming to him initially.

ML takes the “stoic, quiet, rich and powerful gong” thing to a whole new level lol. He’s literally mute. It’s a cliche, but at least the author made a more valid excuse for why the ML never speaks. I did like him though, one of my favorite tropes is an aloof, cold ML that is remarkably soft on MC. He’s exactly that “happy husband, happy life” type of guy that I love. I liked the fact that he was a bit eccentric toward the beginning with the love of his “fish”. Unfortunately, he does lose that once he finds out MCs secret.

They do have biological children together through the power of BL. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone that doesn’t like/tolerate mpreg because MC does become very pregnant. The children are adorable, though it is clear that the author, and all the characters in the novel are biased toward the eldest and youngest children. Especially the eldest. Makes you kind of feel bad for the middle children but what can you do. Regardless, the children are very cute and will warm your heart.

Characters in the novel were complex enough. I would say some of the characters had very interesting motivations. I liked the fact that there was a fairly equal amount of representation when it came to men and women. Some men were antagonist, some women were antagonistic; some men were allies, some women were allies. It made the world feel more realistic.

The court politic were really good. Schemes, conspiracies and pretty much any kind of twist and turn you can think of were utilized by the characters in an effort to ascend the throne.

Personally, I would recommend reading this novel. It’s got just enough politics and plot intrigue to keep the novel interesting. And just enough fluff and dog food to feed your soul lol. <<less

You know that this novel really stole my heart..I really enjoyed it.. the couple and the children are also cute..I want more..I really recommend it to everyone.. this is a cute, fluffy, interesting novel... the novel is very good and there is also twists and plots..I love it..

Not yet done but can't help myself but to comment. This is actually the first time I read a protag actually admitting to himself that he's the biggest fraud.

Most of the transmigration novels I read, when the ML lied (white lies mostly, but lies none the less), MC gets really mad/throws a tantrum without even realizing the fact that their existence in that world is pure lies as well. I always want to knock some sense to those MC, like dude, your throwing a tantrum cos ML deceived you, aren't... more>> you deceiving him too?

It's just refreshing that somehow, an MC actually realize that he can't just criticize someone for something he does himself.

Anyways, back to reading. 🥴🥴 <<less

I definitely enjoyed how humorous it was. Some side characters and villains were also well written. MC and ML is not Op too. Also, the MC and ML's interaction was adorable, however, I was not able to finish this because I got a bit tired with how naive and dense the MC was. And the progress of the story starting from the second mission made me bored.

I was expectant of the mpreg and child raising, but I guess the story pacing was not for me. Don't get me wrong, I... more>> know this is a one of kind story especially how it was unique from all of the QT story with a system. Furthermore, the translation is of good quality and I like how the translator put notes for explanations. So, it's still can be recomended for those who like a light-hearted and unique story. <<less

I loved it so much!! The plot and the drama plus the hot and cute scenes between the MC and ML are both well-balanced. The pace was a little bit slow (for me) but it was not too slow nor too fast, just right. I liked how the story incorporated all of the drama plot events and give justice to clarify potential plot holes and stuff... well I think that this novel is one of those novels who focus on many drama and schemes and actually made the readers' questions... more>> answered.

Little rant about the 6th prince:

The bad relationships between the princes, especially the fate of the 6th prince lol. I really hate the 6th prince because of his greed and behavior. I mean, I pitied him a little bit since he came from a poor birth and did not have anything compared to the other princes. but the way his character developed was for the worse. He became greedy, calculating, manipulating, and a plastic jerk. Yeah so I said screw his background he's tr*sh anyway lmao. And during his last fate, I really did pity him for real. He thought he was the one manipulating all of the people in the palace but he was the one being manipulated after all by his "own" trusted "mother" and by that, he even died without knowing it at all. Poor him but he deserved it.

The part where the villains themselves making conspiracies about each other is so entertaining to read to see who goes down first lol. The novel really is worth the time. I've been busy so much that I delayed reading this and stopping midway for days so I'm happy I finally got to finish it now, Whewz,

Thanks for the translator!! There should be many confusing parts about the novel like the historical setting and many connotations and metaphors. There were so many historical chinses novel I read and only a few of them really explain and make notes like this. Especially the way the naming of the princes.... tbh it was so hard to remember all of that since all of them have Mu and Tian in them and could be really confusing. The translator did a good job including numbers beside their names every time so I was not confused.

This novel is super cuteeeee~ At first I got interested on how the hell a fish catched a tyrant under its hook but even as a fish, Li Yu is still cute! He's not timid and thinks of ways to slap the villains. Everytime Li Yu performs a hula dance then Mu TianChi, our gong, watches him or when Li Yu wraps his tail on Mu TianChi's finger, or even when Mu TianChi feeds Li Yu then pushes Li Yu around the aquarium to help him digest food, my heart... more>> just fills up with a lot of butterflies! Yeah, I think it's my heart that gets filled up with butterflies and not my stomach!

... 40px;"> I kind of pity the princes but I do think that those were the things they deserved! The insults and frame ups that they planned for Mu TianChi is terrible! Even I wanted to slap them! Good thing Li Yu is there!

This novel also have Mpreg. With the Baos being in sync, cute and able to distinguished the bad from the good is always so cute!! So young yet they're able to slap the villains! Plus with Snow Bao, the whole TianChi fam is so lively!

I've always wondered, if Li Yu didn't save Mu TianChi back then at the pond then who will save him? Will anyone save him? If he's not save then will the future collapse? will Li Yu just going to transport back to his original world? But now, I know, there's no "what if's" it's because Li Yu is fated to save Little mU Tianchi and Li Yu will always save Mu Tianchi that their future continue to exists <<less

This is so fun to read. The character development was there and the MC or ML ain't portrayed as OP. They actually achieved everything bcs of each other's help and bcs of their own unique ideas. The misunderstandings ain't frustrating, but rather embarrassing sometimes (lmfao). There's no angst, but there are parts that will bring you great anticipation. Their actions and responses to events was realistic also. Even tho it was more focused with their relationship development, the side characters all played a major role to the success of both... more>> MC and ML. Sometimes the MC might look a little childish (sorry ML don't kill me), but he's actually open-minded and knows his priorities. Hope there's extras tho, it feels like the EPILOGUE was rushed and I rlly hope I was able to read the growth of the kids, the growth of their nation, their first bonding as a family after all of them are able to turn into a fish. <<less

Man, I cannot recommend this novel more.

It's adorable and the relationship between the MC and ML is soooo cute. I honestly love the pampering efforts of the ML, often just shrugging and letting the MC do as he pleases. As for the MC, A for effort on all system tasks, lol.

I laughed many a time at the antics and internal dialogue of the MC.

... more>> Also, I would've been fine with the ML staying mute throughout the entire story because that's how little it mattered at the end of the day.

The side characters of course were great including the kiddos, Gale the doggone, and Wang gonggong to name a few.

Honestly, I haven't immediately liked a story so quickly in a long while. This was a well needed relief in these covid times. <<less

The plot might be lackluster, but the focus is really on the relationships - the characters gain life, they grow and have motives and specific relations to each other. Loved it!

Breaks a lot of stereotypes, the ML actually has character and isn't simply a cold or black belly gong, the MC also is neither a weak, submissive, or s*upid shou, and also isn't cold and OP, there are many unexpected developments which keep the suspense throughout the novel, it's also very cute with a lot of dog food.

I'm sad there that there aren't more people whose reading this.

This is honestly a very honest, cute, and straightforward story, an overall very easy read. There are no extra drama, no tragic/ironic situations, or immense misunderstanding, or as many would say "dog blood" compared to other historical series. The only heartache you will get is from sweetness overload.

I very much enjoyed the comedy and loved all the characters. MC is very adorable and loveable, cheeky and mischievous, while I completely fell head over heels for the ML. The only time... more>> I ever got annoyed with the MC, the problem was very very quickly resolved (I was pleasantly surprised). There is also no unnesecary love triangles or squares.

If you want a fluffy, lighthearted romance, this is it for you. <<less

Really good, amazing story.

There are some scenes that really hit the spot and are just so good!

It's that rare BL where the ML isn't aggressive about s*x. In fact, MC is equally enthusiastic and taking initiative about it. A very fun, enjoyable read.

Wow, this is such a good novel! The relationship is so sweet and everything flowed super well. I am super satisfied with how this ended but I am soooo sad that it's over now ;_; this is definitely a favorite of mine now and I will hold onto the memories of this novel for sure. Reading it was such a joy, I love it so much. If you like a cute but likeable MC who actually makes good decisions then you'll like this transmigration bl story. The love interest is... more>> amazing as well. There is no toxicity at all in this novel between the main couple.

I actually usually don't like the idea of mpreg but it worked so well in this novel. The children coming all of a sudden did make me a bit worried since it was early into the relationship but the author handled it so well I can't complain.
