Six months ago, tens of thousands of black phantom towers appeared all over the world, floating above the cities. Chemists, physicists, religious people… all of them could do nothing.

Six months later, people became used to the towers and no longer paid them attention.

One day, Tang Mo saw a flying insect crash into it instead of going through it. The next day, a sharp and clear child-like voice issued an announcement to all humans.

“Ding dong! November 15th, 2017. The earth is online.”

The black tower’s three iron-clad rules:

1. Everything is explained by the black tower.

2. 6 o’clock to 18 o’clock is the game time.

3. All players, please strive to attack the tower.

If you like infinite flow and prefer characters that aren't invincible, i'd recommend this one. MC is smart and uses his abilities to figure out the instances, and he's above alota people regarding in strength. ML is on the stronger side, but still very smart nonetheless as ... more>>
Spoiler

he was a high ranking position in something before the tower came and gave him his abilities.

TEIOs romance is a bit (alot) of a slow burn as they don't really get together or express heavy feelings until like 3/4 of the way.

I've reread this novel a good few times and are one of my favourites, it has a bit of humour here and there.

I postponed reading this for a few days when I first found it, but ended up reading it and couldn't stop. I stayed up late and ended up tired in mornings because I got too into it and didn't realise the time but I really enjoyed it..

MC and ML and both extremely strong but not enough to defeat the stronger tower bosses and win much less survive or do so without injuries.

I like how the author adds some extras where it shows what would've happened if the tower never appeared, it was nice. Really recommend you read it <<less

This novel is certainly... something.

The Earth is Online honestly started off alright. The initial premise genuinely intrigued me, and each interaction with the ML made me curious and further excited to read more. I will admit the little 'wife' notes in the author's notes theatre at the end of the chapters was a bit irksome, but you can ignore it.

But then I kept reading. There is so much action and logic puzzling, which was incredibly dense and difficult to get through. Perhaps that's fundamentally an issue with the English language,... more>> but it made each of these action segments so much more of a slog to read. And there were no breaks, so as soon as you'd made it through one puzzle it was barely half a second to take a breath before it's onto the next one. Unfortunately, I'm on chapter 152 as of writing this, and it seems I'm falling prey to the sunk cost fallacy in that I have literally wasted maybe too much time and brainpower on this to back out now.

Speaking of brainpower, there's another thing - the logic of these puzzles is extremely unsound. I'm definitely not professing to be the smartest person ever and my intelligence certainly can't rival an ability-boosted bridge-playing protagonist's, but the conclusions the MC draws are improbable and poorly supported. He estimates situations by percentage probabilities and treats these as set in stone - which, one, how do you even do that anyway, and two, just because something is 75% probable doesn't mean that the 25% possible thing won't happen - it's just less likely. When you attempt to follow the logic of the MC and ML for your own understanding, there are so many assumptions made that the author glides right over, perhaps in order to disguise that they are leading you by the nose to a conclusion that is convenient for the story's continuation. And also - he's a librarian. No hate to librarians or anything, but there's a difference between being clever and having a wide knowledge base. There is a correlation between them, but the author treats these things as interchangeable, but that would mean that the MC had known all this stuff about whatever he's talking about already, and is just able to draw these conclusions faster and easier with his abilities. Where would he get all this knowledge from? Did he read every single book in the library he worked in?

As for the romance - look, I don't even care about the romance anymore. There is basically no romance. Their love story is bizarre and improbable as well, and I honestly might have more chemistry with the floor than these two have with each other. The author's investment seems to be largely in the story setting and events, and mine is too. I'll take it at its word that they have an improbably tacit understanding with each other - maybe that comes with the territory when you play bridge, I wouldn't know.

Also, the MC is a really unlikeable character. He takes cold and aloof to the next, worrying level.
Spoiler

He finds out one of his supposedly best friends in the entire world died and his only reaction is silence and a blank expression, before brushing it off like 'I am sad.' *promptly moves on* There was potential for that to have been spun into something that he is struggling or unable to process at first without help, or even just give him some time alone where it might sink in, but no! He immediately forgets about it and moves on. I'd think this friend was like the cashier of the grocery store by his house from his net emotional turmoil if it wasn't already explained to me their importance to him. I don't even remember his name!

[collapse]

Alright, I could go on and on and on about this sinkhole novel, but I'll just say this. Come for the fairly stimulating plot and action, if anything at all, but maybe leave your brain and any expectations of romance by the door. <<less

I don't really think that this needs my review because a lot of people have already described how good this novel is yet I still think this needs more recognition!

To be honest, I was one of the people who thought this novel would be bad and avoided reading it for literally 3 years before I finally gave in and tried it with the mind set of "gonna drop it as soon as one thing pisses me off" yet I ended up binge reading it in only 5 days. Before reading... more>> it, I had read the reviews and I had the mindset of "how is this gonna be even good as slow burn romance and definitely the survival action aspect will be bad"I thought if I really want to read good survival setting I could read a lot of other top rated novels why should I waste my time on this if even if its setting is supposedly good?As a yaoi, it should have more BL but it doesn't have much so whats even the point even if it has good action and plot? But I literally ended up changing my mind set and surprised after reading only 10-20 chapters. It was EXTRAORDINARYILY GOOD!

Besides BLs, I read a lot action/survival setting novels like omniscient reader and tuturial is too hard which are like one of the bests in this category and even tho EO can't compare to them. As a veteran reader, I would certainly put it in the "good novel" section of this category just based on the plot, world building, character development and how it all played out. It isn't the best but its certainly good. But guys listen that is only the case if I consider its action survival genre. If I take in the BL genre in too then i really hope you'll believe me when I say its the best BL action survival novel!

A tower appearing and instances clearing in action survival novel are normal but what intrigued me was the "earth is online" concept and the use of different fairytales and popular game characters in the instance. Even tho the author could have used better settings if she was going to use these characters but still just the appearance of them in the novel was intriguing! Action aspect and game solving was good with author describing everything is detail and such. The most important aspect, the BL part was extremely good and it surprised me! Even tho it was slow burn, You could literally feel and see the tension, trust and the companionship between our MC and ML. Through out the novel, we got extremely cute moments between them and sometimes the sparkful attraction between them and whenever they happened I would literally blush like a tomato (Don't get me wrong guys I'm a veteran yaoi reader I have read a lot of smut yet this made me feel so ticklish and pure). Buttttt despite all that when they finally get together don't expect any great vague smut snippets or some hot kisses (i swear I was so heartbroken when I got nothing.i felt so cheated on by the author). They didn't fall in love soon (i thought I might dislike that but I loved it) they both were wary of each other at first, didn't trust each other and had not much concern for the other and treated each other as acquaintances but they slowly opened up, becoming teammates and their trust grew finally resulting in their relationship evolving. The author did it just right!

The MC is a normal dude (not like most BL MCs who are extremely good looking and all slender and soft) yet still good looking. Even tho his ability seem really OP its not and I can guarantee he's not typical OP action protagonist. He's intelligent but not the genius one who knows everything but one who has knowledge and wits due to being a librarian. His complains in is heart were extremely funny throughout the novel xD. ML too is not some really cold good looking dude (like those other MLs for whom women go crazy left or right) but a normal upright good looking guy who doesn't know how to make jokes xDDD and makes cold jokes. Even tho he is strong due to being a soldier. He too is not OP. The one thing I like about this novel is that both MC and ML are not OP, they are literally each others equals (even the ML admitted that he didn't know if he would win if he fought MC) and they are not some invincible OP couple who can defeat everyone in the world but through out the novel there were a lot of people who could overpower them both.

In terms of side characters, idk what to say but this novel was a somber setting one rather than the magical setting with 'every side character related to MC' will survive. The deaths happened and the deaths weren't feely one but rather sudden and cruel ones without much closure making it more real and making you realise 'this feels real and oh thats why its survival setting'.
Spoiler

I never expected and wanted my baby Li Wen to die just like that! I still am sad about his death. The way the huckster gradually lost his body. The way Bai Ruyao just died and paid the favour before dieing. Mu huixue had to die just after she admitted she didn't want to die.

[collapse]
The more important side characters weren't just mere sidekicks or subordinates there just to admire the main couple but they were strong and intelligent people. Xiao Fu our lil baby brother. Chen shanshan our brain!

Japanese yaoi doesn't really mix another genre with the yaoi while China makes really interesting BL novels with action/survival/mystery settings. Japan really gotta step up its game. But even in those Chinese Novels, only a few manage to balance the romance with the plot and action. This novel had both great action/survival plot and great romance but the way the author balanced the two really made the novel freakin EXTRAORDINARY!

The ending with all the truth revealed was well done!! And the scene where both the MC and ML reintroduced themselves made me feel so emotional! The extras with the alternative universe added to the feels and the extras telling the future events made my heart warm.

Guys!If you are really picky about your novels like me, then please trust me and just give only a few chapters a try. This novel won't disappoint!I can guarantee you'll love it just like me! <<less

This was amazing! Such an imaginative "It's the End of the World as We Know It" plot. Not just your same old zombie apocalypse. A real page turner. Some great characters too. Not much in the way of romance, but who has time for romance at the end of the world?

I actually dropped it halfway. Everytime MC was in some kind of bind I was just either uninterested in the outcome or already guessed it. I just waited for our main boy customary revelations. I kept on reading for the boys relationship progress, but there was not much of it. I felt it was superficial and a bit forced, maybe just ill paced? Overall no chemistry whatsoever.
Spoiler

When there came a culminating point for them I had to double check if that was it (it was it).

[collapse]
I also have a feeling that the MC and ML were a bit overpowered thus other characters left almost no impression on me. Supporting characters just had weak/no presence.

But since I didn't read till the end, my review is concerning contents up to chapter with the culmination point for our boys. I still think that the author did a good job coming up with all those games, the pacing just didn't work for me. I also liked the worldbuilding and the overall atmosphere of the novel.

It gets a bit tedious at times and the system is not well defined, but generally it's good if you can get past the tedious parts. I have a bit of a problem with the MCs crazy intelligence levels and he never really feels like he's in danger. Also, every single challenge the MC does has a twist, nothing is ever normal, time loops, name games, super mario bullshit, it's all kind of annoying

This book was definitely a very well thought out and well written story, and I would recommend it to those who enjoyed other novels such as omniscient readers viewpoint, reverend insanity, little mushroom, etc.

However, I felt like the final arc was wayyyy too rushed, and the ending message had a bunch of plot holes, such as ... more>>
Spoiler

if the black tower games were to test humanity, why is luck considered a strength? If it’s to reserve resources, why give humans ability? - Wouldn’t that decrease resources? When the black tower calls Tang Mo greedy for asking more questions, it reveals a consciousness. Is the black tower conscious? Who is eve? What determines abilities? What happens to the game bosses, e.g. Mosaic girl and Grecia? There were a bunch of questions left unanswered!!!!

[collapse]

Compared to the length of some of the other games, the final one was too fast paced and didn’t feel difficult enough for the main characters.

Slight spoilers for the ending:

Spoiler

as an unlimited flow novel, you kind of have a basic overview of how the story ends. In my opinion the extras ruined the ending, as it revealed that Fu Wenduo and Tang Mo were destined to be together, and made the entire plot feel pointless. Barely 0.001% of the population survived, and I just feel like this ending wasn’t really happy, or that beyond “love” there wasn’t anything to live for. Like society can’t really function properly??

[collapse]

to be honest, id say skip the ending and read a fan made one! Save yourself. <<less

Sorry I can't give this novel a high score. The logic of the problem solving is honestly outrageous and doesn't make sense at all. It's rather slippery slope as if the author is trying to force an answer to a question. Besides the main character is kind of bland.

Spoiler

Also what's up with the Chinese propaganda in this novel? ML's name is named after the annexation of Taiwan?

With almost 100 reviews and 500 5 stars, you really don't need much more convincing on how good it is do you? It truly is complex and really in-depth. MC and ML are both badass in their own right, and honestly if you weren't into BL I would still whole heartedly recommend this. I do want to note though that rather than a video game setting it's more along the lines of word/board games rather than full out video games. As for the translation? It's pretty top notch, although a... more>> few mistakes here and there. When I found out this was an MTL I was so shocked I would have thought they were lying if the website itself didn't say so.

If you like puzzles/riddles/tricky games this book is up your alley. Both the games and the story itself are complex, and detail packed. Items and people you forget about are never truly forgotten and while there are a little hand waves here and there on minor details (like food or gas/car keys) but it's easy to let it slide. The plot is exciting and never fails to keep the reader engaged or truly loses steam. I do think this one is not meant for binge reading, so pace yourself and take breaks instead of frying your brain and your eyes to read it in one go. If you're looking for something uncomplicated to just read while you're relaxing on your down time, this might not scratch that itch for you. If you're looking for a truly neutral story too, be warned because while the story is great, the author has a precedent of setting China as a bit better than the rest (everyone else has 1-3 top players but China has like, 9 in the top rankings) but it's not very noticeable in this story.

as for the BL aspect, it's there but I don't think it's impossible to pretend they're just really close friends for most of the time if the BL disgusts you. There are some moments and they do sleep together but it's very censored/fade to black. This novel is a wonderful example of a fantastic novel where the main characters "happen to be gay" rather than "the MC is gay and That's it that's the focus".

Overall, I really do recommend reading this even if BL turns you off for the sheer fact that the story is truly a standout. This story is truly a pleasure to read and with out a doubt, one of the top novels I've ever read. <<less

I love the sentence "It is reasonable for Humanity to exist" too much.

[collapse]

This is my first review so it may not be good, but I want to express how much I love this.

This was truly a beautiful ride and deserves a lot more attention. The author has put in a lot of thought into this novel and it's truly mesmerising. Everything is clearly explained for you to understand.

This novel shows the resilience of Humanity.

There are also the extras which show not only the aftermath but also what would have happened if the main story never happened.

Spoiler

The extras prove that Mo Tang and Victor are connected regardless of what happened.

O (≧∇≦) O

[collapse]

Let's start with the romance. There are many people that probably turn away from this novel because of the bl tag. DON'T because you have absolutely no idea what you would be missing. This is a slow burn romance so you don't have to be worried about too much romance and the moments are quick and simple.

For people who come in expecting for a full on romance and think this won't be satisfying please don't drop it because trust me the slow burn makes it even more satisfying when they have a moment.

The characters. Now honestly I can't remember even one character I hated. There was one that I found annoying, but I got over it. Heck, I even loved the Black Tower monsters. The characters are really humanised especially in the latter parts of the novel. You see how far they've come, how stronger they've got, how much they lost and how much they deserve.

Spoiler

I loved how in the last chapter of the extras we see Fu Wendou sleep for the first time. He was one of the most strongest, a soldier whose country was in peril, he was pressured by the weight but held on. We finally see him take a rest that he deserved. Now I understand why the author always said that Fu Wendou wasn't sleeping.

[collapse]

Spoiler

You see how far humanity came. In the beginning they were all enemies ready to kill even their own friends and family to live but at the end they joined hands and faced a stronger enemy despite the chance of them dying. Why? Because humanity can survive.

And India, they tried so hard. They deserved their victory.

And Mu huixue's death wasn't in vain. Her ability was truly a beautiful one.

[collapse]

Next I would love to talk about the world building. It's so well thought out. The games that appear are really witty it makes me feel dumb, but at the same time amazed. When the Black Tower is explained it doesn't have a over the top reason instead it is understandable and you can see where it's coming from.

Spoiler

It is befitting that Tang Mo's first and last Black Tower monster to go against is the Mosaic girl.

[collapse]

This was truly a breathtaking story.

One of the most creative BL novels I've ever read, its hard to find something similar even without BL.

Just... What the heck is with all these stereotypes!

We, Russians, don`t wear fur hats and fur coats! Especially - not in Moscow! If you see someone in fur hat on the streets - 99% its a tourist! And we don`t wear coats in summer! Its too strange! BTW, Russian names here are ridiculous, too... And all these "clever theories" such as graph theory or Mobius ring - I studied it in 7-8... more>> grades (of 11), and Russian students were winners in International Mathematics Olympiads, Programming Contest, etc.

so all these remarks about "all they have is brute force" are too much! And that "foreigner Jack" also became a victim of this strange stereotype. I mean, hello, he became fluent in Chinese just in a few months! What "muscle head"!

I highly recommend to all authors to at least make some fast research, if you write about different countries!

But this novel is extremely interesting! Love it! <<less

Such a good story, you won't regret reading it!

The author's notes at the end of most chapters is so funny, I really enjoy them haha.

I ship the MC and ML very much - they suit each other so well! They team up at some point and start attacking the tower games together, and they've been spinning circles around the other players and (attracting hate lmao) and dominating ever since! They're both really smart, and it's a very interesting read. Love it when they work together :)

1 star for creativity, -4 for everything else.

First of all, I want to point out that this novel is nationalist at certain points and it's hard to ignore. ... more>>
Spoiler

China is constantly a top contender in the black tower which is fine by itself is fine but then the author adds extra sentences that implies other countries are inferior to China because of this? The treatment of South Asian countries (ex: India) when mentioned are always to state or imply their inferiority. Also stating the black towers are global and then completly ignoring Africa and Latin America while acknowledging other continents is definitely a choice.

[collapse]

The most dreadful part of this novel is the MC. The MC is completely robotic and his only personality trait is being smart. Except... he's not really smart? A lot of his intelligence relies on complete assumptions on things that have no real base line to begin with.
Spoiler

For example, durning the mole task he needs to find the "stowaway" (someone who killed another before the tower attack game started) to feed to the mole. He deduces that the young teenage girl must be the stowaway because she... had a flashlight and phrased one sentence weirdly? Other tasks are also completed in a similar manner using far-fetched logic to create solutions and the acting as if the MC is mega genius for figuring it out.

[collapse]

The MCs mechinalical way of thinking is so persistent that it dulls every relationship he has with other characters. Even his relationship with his supposed love intrest.
Spoiler

Another example being Chen ShanShan.

[collapse]

The romance is completly nonexistent. It's one thing to be a slow burn it's another to make your main have little to no chemistry throughout the whole first half of a 200+ chapter novel.

The only thing this novel has going for it is it's creativity, which I also think other unlimited flow novels do better on. Overall, this book is definitely not for me. <<less

I don’t essentially think this novel is a one star it could even reach the average rating but I’m giving it a one star review regardless to lower the rating a bit cause it’s awfully misleading.

So I’ve been holding into this novel for a while and I finally decided to give it a shot, and oh god was it disappointing.

Now if it wasn’t for the overhyping I wouldn’t have disliked this novel all that much, in a matter of fact, this novel is your average everyday unlimited flow novel nothing... more>> in particular stands out; it has your overpowered and indifferent MC/ML and of course the rest is your average forgettable characters. Except the instances are creative so thumbs up for that. Yea that’s it.

I personally could bat an eye if this is the case, but knowing me; someone who hates one dimensional characters, I couldn’t keep up with the indifference and bland character of the MC: forced to participate in a survival game?? Someone he knows for decades just died in front of him?? Just killed a person?? MC has no reaction to any of this whatsoever, he’s busy being overpowered and smart, way too smart, did I mention him being smart? Now this is the most annoying part; like some reviews said, the author gives you a vague understanding of what’s happening and a little glimpse of clues and then boom the MC has already figured out everything since the beginning because he’s just that good, and of course everyone else is like wow how, exactly! How?? It’s like he knows everything a prior beforehand, of course people alike attract each other, ML is no difference all the same.

Oh right forgot to mention that everyone in this novel is apathetic regardless of age, it’s like they were born just to play this game.

Overall, it’s mediocre really. <<less

If I had read this story when I first got interested in horror romance, I probably would have given it a full five stars.

However I've read quite a few of those stories now and this one just doesn't stand up.

Why:

    1. It's unbearably grim. I don't mind horror. I don't mind characters being tortured mentally. I've read other stories with that and been fine. This is just plain grim. There's nothing to relieve that fact. When you are watching children being forced to compete in war/survival games it's not scary, it's heartbreaking. People who are decent and ethical are in short supply because they get killed by giggling psychos. Or by the game itself which doesn't like 'protecting the weak.' It gets old. Just when you think there is a glimmer of hope, the author slams you with another massive wipeout to humanity. There's nothing scary after about 60 chapters because you know everything will be awful, twisted and gross.
    2. The whole premise is s*upid. Mostly because, ONCE AGAIN, someone has interpreted evolution's survival of the fittest, as survival of the top predator or intelligence only. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Viruses wouldn't be able to ravage the planet if they weren't fit for survival. Animals like rabbits, cows, birds, fungi-they all exist because they are fit for survival. It has NOTHING to do with being able to kill everyone else. Also the 'evolution' that the humans experience. Exactly how is throwing needles or breathing fire for one person going to advance civilization more than machines that work for anyone? And why are psychos who fight well considered evolved? Note: There are too many giggling psychos in the story. It gets really old.
    3. I disagree about the games being smartly done. I've read other stories where the game/instances were much more interesting. Also, the fairy tale thing was really tiring after the first few stories-which were all western stories-that makes no sense at all since those aren't 'universally known' unless they are done by Disney, not because they are what came before written stories. A side note - when it came to calculating the percentage of success or failure at any fight, I got seriously sick of it always being 10% 30% 80% 90%. It made the whole thing seem even more contrived.
    4. There were no breaks between the fights. You might get half a chapter, but then another fight game starts. It was 230+ chapters of endless fighting, with nothing to break it up. No down time-that was skipped over for more fighting- not even a moment of lightness to relieve the bloody slog. And all the games are the same. Simple rules, hidden word tricks, fairly simple logic games, survive being killed by other players or monsters.
I actually liked the main couple and their interactions. I thought the side characters (who weren't killed off) were decently fleshed out. For me the execution and premise of the plot was just a huge let down. I only finished it to write this review.

Honestly, this novel would have probably been one of my favorites if not for a few things. (also forgot the chapter I dropped this at but it was during that game where they got dice that increased their luck or smthing)

  1. Sometimes the logic is kind of awry but honestly I can ignore that since the games, at least some, are pretty interesting
  2. The romance is kinda bad ngl, like the ML and MC ??? like I dont even get how they fell in love?? but they just did one day and just like tacityly acknowledged it but there's like no progress in it???
  3. The relationship also feels like too much give-and-take, with the ML giving the MC a lot and the MC just... like what has the MC done for the ml??? I can think of like nothing lmaoo.. also their mf tacit understanding ??? like they literally just look at each other and know everything the other is thinking which is super unrealistic for one and also really annoying but go off ig
  4. The MC, okay omg the MC theres so many things about him that I just can't. Honestly, I could've ignored all the things above and still have it as a favorite novel if it wasn't for the MC. First, his personality, like f*ck he's so boring??? cold and aloof with 0 character growth.. mans had like 0 setbacks literally cant think of a time when he's suffered a loss. that brings me to his plot armor, goddamn the plot armor is too much for this one like all his props are f*cking godly ? and somehow everything always turns out benefitting him while at the same time the author tries to make it seem that it happened like that cause hes super duper fcking smart like no sir lmao.. he and the ML literally have a reset artifact tf. FINALLY god probably the thing I hate most about the MC is how he complains so much about his bad luck all the f*cking time???? LIKE WHERE?? mans has ex/sss/ssr rank luck like srsly, , the combination of every factor I mentioned above makes it so its like this. the reset artifact he literally got like in the first or second dungeon I forgot and like bro tell me its not ex rank luck to get that ?? then when hes like "oh I have bad luck" bc he gets dragged into the monopoly game he gets a super op hat item like bruh. then god I stopped reading after this, when they played the game where they received dice that would multiply their luck or some sh*t and mf is like "i got 1 ik I had bad luck" but FCKING CONVINIENTLY he can exchange the dice by playing some game or whatever and ended up with a 6 like plz plz plz wheres ur bad luck... id even say him having known the ML since before was good luck bc the ML has helped him so fcking much.. and if someone tells me oh he got op items but its cuz he deserves them or smthign like bro apart from the MC and ML I literally cant think of anyone else with op items plz, not to mention he also has an op ability ??? also that brings me to the point (ik I said the previous thing was going to be the final thing but this is actually gonna be the final thing) the author tries so hard to make the MC and ML seem like smartest ppl alive and makes like all the other competitors so incompetent even tho theyve survived for as long as the main cast like ???? u would expect theyd be a bit smarter at least?
The one thing that redeems this novel a bit, for me at least, is Bai Ruoyao like his character is sm more interesting than the MC. I'd honestly would've loved to see a story from his pov so much more lmao (unless he was later developed... more>> as a 2d character which would ruin all the potential he has so I hope he doesnt get done dirty like that lol) *now if anyone thinks that just bc I like bai ruoyao I hate the MC as a sort of aggrieved feeling at him robbing bai's dice then im sorry but plz reread all the reasons why I say the MC sucks lolol <<less

Sure I really enjoyed it at first because it is somewhat interesting how the author came up with those complicated games and how is his characters gonna solve it. But I dropped reading it at Chapter 130, because this novel is kinda mentally exhausting.... You have to think hard and focus reading it especially when the author starts to reveal how the characters solved the games given by the black tower or else you'll gonna and up saying " what's goin on?".... and confused, making this novel unenjoyable..

I don't know why so many people seem to enjoy this novel. They convinced me to give it a try. But in the end, the novel didn't seem to be making any headways. There isn't particularly any goal. The Black Tower doesn't seem to have any purpose either. Does it just want to kill off all humans? Does it want them to become strong? Seems like the Black Tower is also aimless or it doesn't care a lot about it's purpose. Either way, this novel just doesn't have anything for... more>> me to look forward to when reading it. <<less
