I came to know this novel after reading "Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss" and somehow realized that this was a predecessor of GDBBM novel. Thankfully, this story didn't affect GDBBM's novel much, only in the epilogue.

The final boss of this novel (Satan) was ML in GDBBM novel. Just what in the world that Satan did that deserved him to get a second chance? Just because he lost his adopted sister (Li Ya), he decided to destroy the world. It didn't even the world's fault. Li Ya perished because of her forbidden love with the God race but even the God who became her lover killed himself after her death. It should've end at that.

I think Qi Xia deserved to be ML more than Satan (his picture was even in the book cover already). His secret love to MC really make me want to hug him. If there is no Xiu, I think he will be a perfect match for MC but sadly, he wasn't as perfect as Xiu. In GDBBM's epilogue, it indicated that Qi Xia still loved MC even years after her marriage with Xiu. I really hope that he will be ML in another novel and find his true love.

This novel's plot and characters were pretty similar to GDBBM. The only difference were the cultivation style and the final boss. The ending was quite satisfying but like GDBBM, quite a few characters were missing from the ending.

  • Where is Flaming Red Squad that MC mentored in Howling Abyss? I thought they will be part of Undead troops that came with Yaksha to Radiance Continent but they're not mentioned at all. I'm a bit disappointed though because I wanna see their growth after MC left them a few years ago and also want to see their reunion with MC in a happy occasion.
  • I also miss the adorable elders from Moonlight Tribe of Moon God Continent. Seeing their protectiveness towards MC during her time in Moon God Continent, they must want to aid MC during the war but they're not mentioned at all till the end of the story. Even MC's maternal family from Moonshine Tribe were also not mentioned.
  • Shen Jing (MC's uncle) was also rarely mentioned again after he came back from Moon God Continent. From what I've read, I think he secretly fell in love with Wen Ya (MC's mom) but he didn't let his feeling affected his relationship with his brother. In Moon God Continent, he met with another elf, Duan Xue, who helped him and MC a lot during their time there. Somehow, I think Duan Xue secretly fell in love with Shen Jing and Shen Jing also didn't really feel nothing too but he chose to leave without saying another word. Maybe it's because he still loved Wen Ya or maybe it's because many people still hated a mixed-race wedding and he didn't want to implicate Duan Xue. If it's because the latter, I hope Shen Jing and Duan Xue will be together after the war but sadly, the author seemd to forget about them.

This is the precursor novel to Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss and it's an epic xuanhuan with 7+ arcs, where the protagonist reincarnates into a new world / body and works her way from being moderately strong to extremely strong. What I loved was Shen Yanxiao's warmth and humanity – her main desire is to simply have some loved ones and "live well" together, and she notes and repays kindness back 10x, but she also refuses to be a doormat and fights back fiercely when provoked. She has a... more>> fun mix of friends and companions, including tsundere, yandere, doting, goofy, and adorable.

The ML is a strong, mostly silent type who surprised with his turn into cheeky flirtation. While he does get jealous, he's thankfully not overbearing about it (looking at you, Black Belly Miss ML). Admittedly, I ship SYX with someone else more, but the main romance is endearing.

For the cons: it's an obvious debut novel with plot holes, outright mistakes (author literally forgets when two people have met and sometimes contradicts earlier details – she's not great with remembering age and numbers), and characters that are forgotten (sometimes it feels like there are potential conflicts looming, but never mind, because they never see each other again). But if you want a long read about adventures, continual leveling up, and overcoming racial prejudices (there are humans, gods, demons, elves, dragons, dwarves, mermaids, and the undead), this is a good one!

I especially recommend Foxteller's translation of it whenever available (they skipped some of the early chapters, but covered the majority of the novel). In terms of North Night's novels, Unprecedented Pill Refiner probably has the tightest story structure, while this comes in second. But I enjoy the characters and world of this novel the most. If you feel like you need additional epilogues, there is one at the end of Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss, which is set in a different world, but same overall universe. <<less

What can I say, other than I love this book. First, reading the first few chapters I too was hypocritical and judged that it maybe bad and non progressing but one day I came back and read it again with much patience to realise it’s not bad to it’s great. I don’t know how can people read the novel upto chp 60-70 or rather 100 even and give it such low rating. I know it’s rather slow paced in terms of both romance and plot line but if you got... more>> the patience you’ll be rewarded with a good plot, a different yet likeable MC, heartfelt friendship and love. The MC always uses her thief skills which makes the story rather hilarious at points and how she’s not the ones of conceited and arrogant mc’s. She’s warm and loveable in her own sense. I love how she developed her friendship with the four guys- who for a change doesn’t act like brainless MC fangirls or subordinates. They are proper friends who gets their own limelight and importance in the book. The ML too went through good character development, he’s cold yes, possessive check! But not to the point where he’s basically firing you with a bazooka if you even glance at the MC. And yes, we get a overpowered, like superly op villain which I hated to the core until I read black bellied miss- the second book of the author. Basically, I love this book so please other readers read it before you make a judgement and mislead the others from reading it. It’s not bad as you’re making it sound. <<less

i love love love the story. It had me sitting, constantly reading it and brought about sooo many mood changes from happiness to anger and sadness. The MC is sooo badass and every other characters are amazing in their own right. I love the details and story of everyone of them. I am looking forward to the ending though alsosad that such a good story will come to an end soon.

Honestly, this is my fav novel so far. And of course, the author is my fav too. All of his books are so well done. I really love the romance between ML and FL. It is a bit slow but very satisfying. Till this point, there is no tragedy at all (no death of loved ones) Well there is one but he is just a minor character so I can take it.

I hated the main antagonist at first but after finding out the biggest spoiler, I cant bring myself... more>> to hate him anymore....

It's a great story but at beginning it's really slow but after you reach ch900 it a ride, a wonderful ride plot and development is very good afterwards. If you are impatient person then it'll be very frustrating at the start of the story. The author is not good at expressing plot in the beginning and there are lot of random stuffs trails and errors but eventually he/she is getting better at writing after each chapter so you can actually feel the style of writing improving slowly. I felt I... more>> was going through quality improvement in writing and plot coming in place flowing smoothly. I don't why but after patiently waiting and reading the story slowly I feel like proud mother who watched their child grow. Chapters after 1200 are very well written and the flow of plot is very smooth please do give this novel a chance it verry wonderful <<less

I really like this. It reminds me a lot about Naruto, but a lot lighter. Seals, hand signals, the tests etc.... I also see some Harry Potter in it (friendship, nice mentors - but Naruto has that too).

It's a fun read and I really like it.

Technically she is a "strong" female but it is cuz she has a bunch of cheats that she can act so c*cky. If another person not in her bubble acts c*cky, they get their bu*t kicked.

She is a Mary Sue. I wish... things were a bit harder for her, but the plot conveniently hands everything to her. With the slightest trouble... she solves every problem. I think her protagonist halo is a bit too bright.

Still fun but I wish it was a bit deeper. <<less

This Author's novels are always the best! I like how focused the story is on the female lead and how domineering she is. It's not like how the male lead is always the most strongest and will always be, because the female lead rapidly grows her strength throughout the story and (literally) became the strongest person at the end.

MTLed the untranslated chapters but it doesn't affect the tension I felt during the climax: which is the war against satan.

The only part I'm dissatisfied with is... that there's NO EXTRA CHAPTERS... more>> about the main couple's babiesss. What I like the most is reading extra chapters about the main leads' children; I don't know why. Don't ask.

So, the conclusion is YOU SHOULD READ THIS!

... And yes, that one last star that's not red is because I couldn't read the chapters about Xiu and Xiao's children. <<less

I really love this story. It may seem dragged in earlier chapters especially the romance but the friendships and character development really made up for it. Also thinking Xiu’s and Xiao’s personality it kinda make sense for them to not just kiss kiss fall in love have a baby kinda progression. Which eventually what I love about this story. The romance grow as both MC and other important characters like the phantom is growing be it in strength or emotional level. This made their bond really strong and unshakable. Although... more>> this novel follow the usual isekai —xia plots there are so many things to uncover that makes it not boring. All in all this is a recommended >.< <<less

This is sooooo good... but the romance is very slow. It doesn't come up til like 1000 chapters but how she levels up, met her groups and all that makes up for it ! If you like action, and just heartwarming stuff it awesome!!!! Although some might say this is bad and how its just like a OP FL and clichness, it really isn't. One of the best among the xianxia/xuanhuan novels... the world building doesn't lack lustre... character development is pretty good too... too much to read and explore... suspense filled and thrilling chapters...

TBH expect genius doctor and this seventh young lady one I haven't come across xuanhua/xianxia novels that I like...

The reason why I love this novel?

The MC is not a weak white lotus. She knows how to fight on her own and fully just rely on someone else' help. Although the chapters are shorts it still slowly showed how the MC became who she in on the current. And through all the ups and downs she still continue to strive and use her brain to its full capacity of thinking. And I wanna praise the author for writing such a wonderful plot. &Lt;3 <3 <3

The MC is so cool, smart and Super hardworking. She have group of good buddies and powerful people around her that helping and guide her unconditionally. ML side is God but not always on the screen but MC alone story is super good enough.

I read most interesting story of transmigration. Pls don’t judge this book from reading few chapters. It worth your time from more and more interesting story to come.

My likes for this novel has no limits. I check it daily like a crazy and I would read regularly. It's quiet entertaining and at the same time emotional. I love MC. FC is obviously hardworking smart vergennesfull strong willed whatever she do I love it. All the characters are awesome and they do their justice at thier part. Totally am super duper happy that I choose to read it over anything. And I would choose it over all again.

It is translated well, but the story is basically: MC tries something, everyone is "OMG, no way he can do that", MC succeeds, everyone "OMG, I cant believe he did that", repeat. Furthermore the author just adds stuff and doesnt utilize anything he previously introduced, and also fails to dramatize events properly -> ... more>>

i dropped it, then picked it up, and was left wondering why I ever did so, but then I was actually glad I dropped it at 20-30% through the story (academy arc. Around when the old school Head was stalking her). And so, because of a moment of "why the in the world did I not keep on reading?" that came at me at random, so because of this I got to know how smart I was to do so! Because I feel I would go crazy if I did... more>> not get a fix of minimum 400chapters of this great story!

Story so far is 4.6stars

characters is 4stars, but protagonist is a shaky 5stars (since we will not know how it all turns out in the end)

i will not spoil anything for anyone, but take my word for it that there are no regrets on starting reading now, only regret that exists if you are the ones who started reading at the beginning or at the 300mark, since you will be left craving for more <<less

Everyone... you all have diferent taste in reading story. After I read GDBBM and find the story to my liking, I went to read another story and saw this story, first I read the coment and that make me confuse whether it's good or not. Then I try to read it and I begin to like the story. Maybe there some crazy moment that imposibble to happen but thats all is story.. everything that imposibble to happen in real world is possible to happen in a fantasy..

Fun story.

Chapters are short, but characters have a good time with each other.

Translators have a good time with the characters.

Soon, they'll make their own little world. With demons and magic and everything else you could possibly want in a world.

For starters, I'm more a japanese novel reader so what I say might not be what you will think reading this novel...

You got a plot where the MC is bullied by everyone aside from her own family.

But the girl you are searching will not be there, the whole novel till 320 chapter she cross dress as a male and even how she act she is not girly (so no plot about hiding her girly side yeah)

"Good for nothing" but this will change pretty soon in the novel so much... more>> that you wonder why the novel is named like this...

Maybe because even thought she hide her identity everyone still bully her and mock her. The author try too much to make a contrast between her real worth and how ppl see her.

But even thought I say all of this, this novel is strangely attractive. Chapters are short (like you read them in one minute) and some can even be skipped
