Good translation and good story but I wasn't really into it. I'm usually OCD and almost never skip read but aside from taking too many days to read (when I can finish 300+exciting chapters in 2days) while skipping a few chapters in the way, the extra chapters bored me. I think the average rate is more due to the extras. Most of them, the MCs didn't even appear and when they do it's more cry baby.

Maybe I'm just not used to a cry baby gong. ?

my fav from the extras was when Luo Binghe (ML) from the real novel comes there and replaces the ML from this world for a day and then has to return honestly I'd prefer to have had seen another appearance from the Luo Binghe from the original novel although it was funny when the original Luo Binghe tells the ML that his bed skill probably suck (think he said that, I read it a long time ago so I don't remember much

I love this novel so much. It has a likable and understandable MC and ml, interesting side characters and a great plot. The comedy was gold at some parts, but despite of that it's a very deep and tragic story. Poor ML T_T

I love how Binghe acted like a yandere at some point, but unlike other certain stories actually had a reason to (being betrayed, trust issues,...) Also, I love the marriage extra XD

The best thing about this novel is the fact that the male lead is supposed to have a harem of beautiful ladies but he couldn't care less about all that, only has eyes for our protagonist. The MC has trouble coming to terms with that lol

Great story! The MC is kind of a tsundere like character, he made many mistakes but you can't help but like him a lot. I see a few people say that they didn't see romance between him and the ML but honestly those people weren't really paying attention. The romance is slow burn and they didn't officially become a couple till the end. The extras are all amazing. I just wish it was longer

This is one among the 3 stories by my fav author Mo Xiang Tongxiu. Compared to the others it's just very ordinary. Common storyline and lack the depths of the other 2 novels. I was actually surprised by how different it is to the other 2 novels. Still it is enjoyable and if u haven't read the other 2, u should read this one 1st.

read this story, it definitely is worth your time. The uke is hilarious, he is just awesome, I love how mxtx creatively makes fun of a novel genre and at the same time focuses on the author's struggles and the sh*t he has to deal with and face. To have so many people have such high expectations of you is scary, you can't satisfy them all, they will keep criticizing things, that poor author gives up on his ideas and goes with the flow, does what his reader's want from him. This story is creative, funny and well written, again all characters play a great role in the story none of them are unimportant and left out. I have a few things to say on Luo Binghe's behalf, he is just like Hua Cheng, devoted to his Uke and idolizes him. Luo Binghe might be a yandere but again it's all because his Shizun was the only person to have cared for him and shown him kindness besides his adoptive mother. He too was a nobody but found something to live for, I don't blame him for being so jealous and overprotective of his shizun<3

Btw guys thank you so much for translating these novels, you are the true angles here, I can't thank you enough, you deserve the world, these... more>> stories mean a lot to me and for so many others it's a sweet escape from reality. Oh man. This was a rollercoaster for me. I read this when it first came out and stopped when things got too angsty for me to handle (I was too impatient). Came back to this two years later to finish. Sometimes the story might have dragged too much, so once in a while I started to skim.

ML kind of r*ped MC? I mean MC let him but it was really painful and he def didn't want that...I guess the excuse for it is that ML isn't in his right mind at the time and was mad and insane..

I think the development of the characters were pretty good. It was quite heart wretching towards the end because some characters got closure and some did not.

It was nice how some plot holes were filled up and we got some answers for questions posed throughout the novel. The overall translations were top notch and the footnotes are plentiful and helpful. BC translations (who took over) are always great. Props to them. I've also read their other translations. <<less

Out of MXTX's work, this is her earliest and it's not surprising. That's not to say that this is a bad story, only that it is simplistic and straightforward. There is no insightful foreshadowing, no earth-shattering romance nor are there philosophical messages hidden throughout the piece.

What it does have is a heartwarming tale of protection and admiration.

Something I would wish for is more of an explanation on Shen Yuan's character and personality. His realisation of his love for Luo Bing He could also be expounded on because that happened a... more>> little out of the sudden.

It was a little bit silly but I really enjoyed it. ^^ Even though some of the plot twists near the end were unnecesary in my opinion, the crazily good character (s) development and real depth of characters and relationships, also some of the mysteries, background stories slowly unraveling etc balanced it nicely.

The concept of the story was funny and original too. Well, silly sometimes but it was great ride overall..)

There's so many reviews on this novel but I'm gonna throw my own 2 cents in.

So this is my first MXTX novel, I've heard all the hype about this author and the stories they write. The fanart alone is f*cking phenomenal. So I came in with high expectations and I wasn't disappointed (but I'm also still not sure why it's so hype, I get that these are pretty cool but it's not like they are god-tier).

It's a good story about disciple (ML) falling in love with their Shizun (MC). Our... more>> MC is a transmigrator who ends up in a stallion novel, and is a character who would ab*se the ML at every turn before ML got OP and turned MC's character into a human stick. Our MC wants to hug the golden thigh and wash away all the bad he's done, which in turn leads to a compelling (albeit sometimes ridiculous) journey of how the MC fills in all the female roles throughout the story.

Overall, it was a fun read, but man, some parts I had to skim because it would get too ridiculous for me, but MC is a capable person who seems cool on the outside but is screaming "what the f*ck" internally on repeat. ML is a loyal puppy, sticky and resilient in getting his shizun coddle him. I wouldn't call him yandere from my perspective he's like on the lowest pole for it.

The reason it got 4 stars and not 5 was because some moments were just.... too annoying for me. Like the big finale with the "Boss" etc etc. Also the AMOUNT OF MISCOMMUNICATION had me reeling. The extra stories are great though. <<less

Read this immediately after Heaven Official's Blessing... (MXTX, you're the man?)

But, I dunno... MC was only all about the system and sticking to 'the original stallion novel'. He was oblivious to ML's feelings and only realised it halfway through the novel. His reaction? Weirded/grossed out, goosebumps, raised fine hairs and run away from ml. He's a s*um MC whose main role was to hurt ML again and again and drive him to the edge. ?.

Anyways, I still enjoyed the plot, it was easy to read, hilarious and action... more>> filled.

To sum it up: My fujoshi heart ain't satisfied but my adventurous bones are.

It was the most truthful and realistic portrayal of a first time interc**rse scene, imo. And some wrote, it was a r*pe scene, but I disagree. MC knew it was going to happen and was ready for it. ML was possesed when he did the deed and wasn't aware. Shen Qingqiu patted his back sporadically. "This master knows. This master is willing."

I really like MXTX's stories. They have a bit of everything - romance, comedy, angst... When it funny, it's really funny and I found myself giggling crazily. It also pulls at the heartstrings. A few times dust got into my eyes and made them water. I would say that this novel is a few steps lower than Founder of Diabolism in storytelling and world building. There were just a some things that were not adequately explained, according to me. It's also not as angsty as Heaven Official's Blessing. It was... more>> a bit more superficial in tone and content than the other two novels.

I can't make up my mind if I liked the MC's ambiguous feelings towards the ML. While the fujoshi in me wanted him to admit that he likes the ML and to face his own feelings, I totally understand his reluctance and thick-headedness. A person who's thought of himself as straight all his life suddenly has to confront the ML's feelings for him, while he himself has feelings stronger than that of a teacher towards his disciple. The novel could have explored this struggle a bit more. But I guess the tone of the entire novel is light, and exploring deeper and heavier feelings would have been incongruous.

In all, I enjoyed reading it, and would definitely recommend it! <<less

If I understand correctly this is MXTX's first novel, and I think that the 'first novel' feeling comes across in the writing. It feels like something that was written mostly for the author and not for the audience. I found the characters to be a little frustrating in their way of thinking a lot of times, but regardless, I still took a liking to them. Overall, I really like the sappy cliches written in the story. I think the ending was not very satisfying, but I quite liked the extra... more>> chapters including Mo Beijun. <<less

One of my first and favorite novels. It's has good plot and many humour accompanied suffering. I love MC's character, how he acting and trying to solve problems. ML is sweet child (with hard past) and even when he growns up he stays bun who loves his teacher. It's amusing how the main evil of their cultivation world so sticky and cute with his beloved. I don't remember a single transmigration, bl or het, that I've finished before this one. Its starts out great and I'm hooked, but the MC's obliviousness or downright s*upidity would annoy me, ML's abusive or doting attitudes would prove to be too sickening to continue, or it might just have too many chapter where I don't see development. As you can tell, it's freaking hard to please me.

This novel is freaking PHENOMENAL. Yo, you know it's good when even after it's done, this loyal a** fandom writes a whole bunch... more>> of fanfics. What's even more shocking is that the FANFICTION is BOMB too. Like, the author has succeeded in creating a whole new world for their characters. I've only ever seen this in the HP books, and One Peice anime.

And it couldn't have been possible for me to be blessed like this if it wasn't for the translators. Thank you so much. <<less
