Ruan Xi was reading a novel with a laid-back female protagonist at her own leisure. When she woke up again, she had transmigrated into the book and became the female supporting character with a good life, Ruan Xi, of whom the female protagonist envied.

In the story, the character Ruan Xi was the replacement for the engagement that had fallen through because her transmigrated, legitimate older sister, Ruan Ning had abandoned her fiancé from a rich family. Later, Ruan Xi was pampered to the heavens by her husband and became the winner in life as an imperially mandated first-rank wife to an official.

Ruan Xi, who had transmigrated over, watched as her transmigrated legitimate older sister prepared for that marriage happily. Similarly, her legitimate mother had also decided on another marriage agreement for her.

This novel was a pleasant surprise !

it's definitely one I will come back to in the future by virtue of :

having an ML with high EQ, who's not a block of ice and IS actually considerate and respectful towards the MC. He has yk ACTUAL emotions.

... more>> having an adaptable MC, who relies on understanding people around her and their behaviors + her wits to navigate the feudal landscape she landed in. So no spiritual pills in the hundreds or heavenly magic and what have you.

the main character knows and acknowledges the fact that while she's in this body, and has memories, it's not enough to make her an overnight master in the 4 arts, or a genius in X field and Y subject.

No, she's quite realistic with her current abilities and does her best to remedy this.

also the MC is calm, steady but not a doormat, nor is she the type of transmigrator who's face slapping is downright ab*se or on the other end of the spectrum, the overly infantilized female character. She feels very much human, as does the ML.

What I loved MOST tho is the way the novel debunks the many tropes attached to transmigration novels.

As another reader said, it really highlights the fact that ancient folks aren't idiots. They WILL notice when something is afoot i.e strange and novel inventions appearing out of thin air, strange abilities that are closer to magic than science, 180° personality changes etc etc

The translation is 100/10. Like kudos to the translator, whoever they are, it has to be the cleanest translated novel i've ever read. They've put a lot of work into it and it shows ! <<less

Dryer and blander than boiled chicken made by a white child. I think the translator did the best they could but my god even that couldn’t save it. There’s a recurring line in the story that I feel describes it perfectly: “... ”

That’s it. That’s literally it, the MC came across as so detached and unaffected by everything it’s like she’s not even part of her environment. Her chemistry with the ML was nonexistent too. I couldn’t even enjoy the story’s smooth ride because the scenery... how to say... it’s... more>> all just autumn grass on a plain that stretches as far as the eyes can see <<less

  1. I enjoyed the first half of the book. As always with CN historicals, at some point, the story drags & becomes repititive. Having dumb antagonists is irritating and exhausting. Especially when they are brought up every other chapter.

    The ML and FL were the ultimate OP characters. Nothing bad ever happened to them. The ML could solve any mystery and always came to the fl's rescue.

    This story made me believe that too many cliches spoil the broth. So many people transmigrated. Then were reborn. And also had golden fingers. Just too much going on.

    Edit: 2 stars. Without this review, this story wasnt at all memorable for me.

It's one of those mediocre novels, which you read it for passing time, but gets better at the last chapters. The beginning, is decent, explaining FL's circumstances in the ancient time, however it gets quite boring.

Ruan san niang, was like a clown actor, which made the stale or boring novel have some spice.

The FL is Mary Sue, lets be honest, you'll understand if you will read this novel, that she will barely suffer any grievances, except her circle of people. ML, the typical, FL's fated from the start.

So, in conclusion, Ruan san niang, through her crazy and bad decisions, made the novel worthwhile and give me a laugh, even with its plotholes and cliche plot. Example: of how FL saved ML appearing out of nowhere, for unknown reason of why ML was even in that place

P.S the extra is really cringe

Ok so if you are looking for a story that the MC isn't op. This is not for you. The FL can do no wrong and comes out of every situation unscathed.

Saying that it's a very cute and fluffy story and I enjoyed it immensely. This is not a story with a deep plot so don't expect it.

A relaxing read. Quite fast paced, but extremely enjoyable, at least you didn't have to wait for chapters for any action.

The romance was truly sweet and heartwarming. I love this couple.

What can throw people off may be that MC married and became pregnant at about 14 years old. I didn't mind, mainly because I just thought that it was a normal thing for ancients (also, would you look at today's teenagers? No offense ✋😐, I really met with such instances).

Overall I'm sure I will be rereading it in the future.... more>> Even if it's just for the fluff 🥰 <<less

This was a real interesting story coz there are basically

But it wasnt confusing despite that and the plot was smooth and entertaining. Alot of dramatic face slapping scenes thanks to the

This is the only novel I had read so far that I found the main antagonist cute despite all the ruckus and schemes she made. Ruan san niang fitted the title of 'jumping clowns' in a sense. Lol. 😂 In any case, I find this story a good read and rated it five stars for:

》in terms of transmigration stuff, it did not focused on nitty gritty details and just mentioned it w/o affecting the plot

》MCs. We have this Wen daren who is atypical of a ML who dotes on his wife.... more>> But he wasn't the 'precast' MLs unlike others. He wasn't the dallying type either. As for FL, her good qualities was intensified due to all the antics of her good sister. But I like her attitude of being in harmony with the story and not standing out or rejecting in the ancient times. Neither was she the aloof or proud 'transmigrator'.

》Romance. Initially, I thought that MCs will just live an honored guest couple life or maybe a curve ball somewhere. It goes quite normal in a sense but not one that would make you feel bored. It has meaty fluffs to eat inside which was every enjoyable. (One could even feel the sweetness the FL feel on the start of their romance, leaving one a good smile in their face ^^)

》Plot. Clear and concise. Not too wayward. Practical in a way that it gives one a view of the ancient times and how to live a good life there; some of the power dynamics and clear reality. Kind of like Fugui Ronghua but in a diff. League. <<less

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The majority is nothing too unique as Ruan Xi merely tries to integrate herself with her new reality. It has a slow pacing but I found it added to the story. The villains are pretty brainless but if you simply enjoy reading people making fools of themself then you'll enjoy yourself. The romance between Ruan Xi and Wen Ting Zhu is super sweet as the story progresses.

The ending is very interesting, not my favorite way to end the story but I still enjoyed it.

I’m surprised this book has such a high rating. I’m dropping after 16 chapters because it really drags. So many unnecessary paragraphs of information that I just don’t care about. The main character has also only met the male lead once in these 16 chapters. It wouldn’t be a big deal, but there is nothing interesting happening. The main character hasn’t even left the house or talked to anyone outside her few family members. She is apparently a god tier actress, as the author makes sure to tell you how... more>> everytime she writes, talks, or does literally anything she is flawlessly playing the character of the young miss she transmigrated into. There’s only been one scheme against her so far, but what do you know, she transmigrated with an ability that let her avoid it. Maybe the book picks up later on, but my god you would think at least one exciting event would have happened in 16 chapters!! <<less

This is not a review, since everything has already been said in the other reviews.

I love this novel. The translator did an amazing job. The story is cute, no drama, no r*pe, no nothing. The title is what happens. A transmigration into the female supporting female lead character with a good perfect life in a laid back novel.

I want more. Are there any other similar novel running around here?

It's a great novel, I finished reading it in two days, and I enjoyed every moment. I absolutely love the FL, even though she came from a modern age she wasn't trying to force her modern knowledge to gain favour or to fame. She decided to live her life fully, and embrace her super handsome husband. The ML is one of my favourites MLs so far, his character is flawless! The translation is a work of art, definitely one of the best translations I 've read so far. The ending... more>> was perfect, and the extra was the cherry of the cake. I love this novel, I really do I like the characters the FL and ML alongside Thier families. However my 1 nitpick which other reviewers would have brought up is the 3rd sister, who is the most annoying character that is given OP c*ckroach powers to not die nor face any meaningful consequences for doing things that any other characters in this novel would face serious consequences for. Unfortunately, the story makes her an important piece to move the plot hence justifying why this c*ckroach has not died yet despite... more>> everyone in story being done with her nonsense <<less

The beginning was a little boring and it took maybe 15 chapters for things to spice up. The most interesting parts were when MC and ML steals some time alone to "deepen their feelings." There are conspiracies here which is expected from an ancient china setting. However, since ML is basically perfect, those conspiracies are not much of a problem.

It's also a laid-back read as what is stated on the title. The romance is good. The characterization is good and things were tied up nicely at the end.

This is a good read for historical novel having "multiple" transmigrator characters and how they adapt in ancient time.

Our main FL (Ruan Xi) who was supposedly a lucky cannon-fodder, chose a quiet life wherein she adhere to rules of ancient society. I like her sweet and trustful relationship with ML (Wen Ting Zhou)... even her in-laws were also good to her.

One of the highlights was also the FL's 3rd sister and OG Supporting Char/Villainess (Ruan Ning) who was also rebirthed transmigrator kept choosing wrong decisions despite her 3rd lifetimes and... more>> wanting to be Mary Sue but wasting her cheats. She made me face palmed myself multiple times with dumbness and stup*d schemes.

OG FL (Mu Qing Ci) was also transmigrated but glad that she still lived as foodie and laid back character like the OG plot and the author didn't make her evil.

I'm only confused with FL's transmigration maybe bc of MTL's translation..

She and the original owner got the same soul in this timeline only... or also other timelines??? Bc Miss Yang, Qi Yue An's fianceé seemed to have the soul of original owner in 1st life.

The MC is the calm and collected type, which makes her sister, another transmigrator, look even more ridiculous. It's a unique take on the transmigrator trope that there three (?) different people who have transmigrated. I think the MC might be the only one aware of the others but I haven't gotten to the introduction of the 3rd one yet.

MC and ML's relationship is fairly realistic. The progress is slow and you can see how naturally their feelings develop for each other. It's so cute.

I loved it so much. There's a lot of fluff but it never gets slow mainly because of the MC's sister (she makes enough drama for the while country). I would definitely read this again when the translation is done, the mtl is okay but there were a few parts I just couldn't follow along. <<less

I actually enjoyed this novel. The brain dead side character made me speechless but she remind me to an acquaintance who was the most s*upid woman but never realised it even with multiple failures, she never learnt until today. Although the sister's character was unrealistic to many readers but I think there are always idiots out there because I know one in the real life.

I think the 3rd sister, Ruan San Niang/ Ruan Ning was over confident and unconciously deceptive to herself, she lived through 3 lifetime with many golden... more>> fingers and made her thought that everything should revolved around her.

For the MC, I think her life too smooth and I think a bit boring, her brain dead sister make the story more interesting. <<less

Overall the story is alright, FL and ML were cute but the sister is so frustrating and s*upid. This is the first story that made me reread to understand the premise and appreciate details I missed the first read, but that might just be me confused by the premise.

Not only is the premise confusing but the story is a novel of a novel. That's right💀, there's the original story, with the sister's transmigration (which our FL reads), and then there's the story we, the readers, are actually reading with our FL transmigrated in.

I just want to say og FL is best girl all the way; she's just a precious baby and she deserves the best snacks in the world!!!

Honestly I think I'm just getting confused by all the reincarnated/transmigrated characters. Like there's the og FL and the sister in the first timeline as transmigrators. Then the sister reincarnates and our FL transmigrates in the main story. And then it's revealed that FL is actually the original and the girl who married in the first timeline is another transmigrator who ended up reincarnating into a different girl since our FL came back this time?? Then the two guys also get like dreams of their past life right??? Plus there's the extra that's also like another timeline for og FL to be reincarnated and get a slightly better ending instead...??

I can't anymore, this confuses me the more I try to clarify it for myself.

Fantastic translation with detailed but unobtrusive notes and history included.

Our FL wants nothing more than to stay away from idiots and live well and watching her be doted on and loved makes this read so good.

MC and FL is so good and lovely the whole way through too! Fully recommend!

i have a mixed feeling about this novel. I mean, I really liked it. It's just that I can't help but feel that it's unfair to the original female lead to have a completely different ending from the original ending. She doesn't deserved it at all. Even in the extra where she got reborn and still in the prince's harem just doesn't sit right with me
