T*ash of the Count’s Family

When I opened my eyes, I was inside a novel.

[The Birth of a Hero].

[The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

I became a part of that novel as the tr*sh of the Count’s family, the family that oversaw the territory where the first village that Choi Han visits is located.

The problem is that Choi Han becomes twisted after that village, and everyone in it, is destroyed by assassins.

The bigger problem is the fact that this s*upid tr*sh who I’ve become doesn’t know about what happened in the village and messes with Choi Han, only to get beaten to a pulp.

“…This is going to be a headache.”

I feel like something serious has happened to me.

But it was worth trying to make this my new life.

This novel is nothing great, plot is average and MC never faces any difficulties, but that is the point this is supposed to be a comedy novel with a hilarious MC and funny situations, this is supposed to be a relaxing read away from all the other action packed novels, this novel does it's job well and that is to relax and entertain us, I seriously don't get the 1 or 2 star ratings.

The way he keeps insisting that he is tr*sh, even trough he is already incredibly powerful and the way his power ups magically fit some kind of higher purpose that not even the protagonist realizes, as if its not enough that they already make him incredibly powerful is just to much for me. Its just too cliche, but the story would be incredible without the cliche elements.

tr*sh of the Count's Family is one of the best novel that I have ever read that has the common theme of characters misunderstanding the intentions of the main character, but it's in a wholesome way. There are so many likable characters to choose from and what I like most about the novel is that the characters that are introduced in the story are not completely irrelevant and is somehow linked in Cale's mastermind scheme for world domination. At first, the first few chapters of the story is a bit... more>> slow but once you get into the bulk of the story, you'll become hooked begging for more Roan and the children averaging 7 years old :) <<less

This is a hoot! You rarely get a series that manages to keep delivering the ridiculous and laugh out loud moments as consistently as this one... it helps that Cale is 'tr*sh'. It is also frequently exciting (good battles usually) and entertaining side characters. As noted by other reviewers it is occaisionally a bit of a trudge, or gruesome, the author often repeats the same turn of phrase and the sometimes the side characters get stuck in auto repeat. But it still gets 5 stars overall - because it is... more>> so entertaining. And the translator does a gret job too. Thank you! <<less

The plot is great and the story idea isn't original but it's fairly new since the concept was twisted into a story like this. As always in a Korean Novel, here we have our OP character who makes mistakes, sure but always gets out of the bad situation into a better, fortunate one. And his "lackies" are so adorable and cute, except for some crazy weirdos.

And as a fujoshi, although the ship of Cale and Alberu hasn't been showing affection in the novel lately, the fan art is to be... more>> worshipped...

Thank you for translating this wonderful story! ^^ <<less

Well, this is my first time writing a review but I just felt like I should recommend this novel to anyone who are not sure about reading it.

Just read it!

tr*sh of the count's family was the first web novel I read and I've read lots of other novels until now but I should say that this one is still the 1st one I check if it has an update or not.

Must say that story isn't perfect and some parts may make you feel like it's too slowpaced or sometimes you... more>> may feel like every character is too soft-hearted towards MC -at least there were times I felt like that-. But I believe these are one of the things that makes this novel good. The slowpaced story is makes it easy to understand the flow of thoughts the MC has, helps you to see the entire picture everytime. - some people might say that author repeats some statements too much but it helps with the 'picture'-. Also the soft-heartness of other characters creates misunderstandings that makes MC quite flustered and it leaves a smile on my face most of the time.

Well other than all that, the big fights and some sudden developments... They Are Great! My heart beats like I was jogging while reading it! I always end up changing positions while sitting you know...

Okay, I must agree that in the beginning story isn't effective enough and does not make much sense but it is definetly a worthwhile to your time.

The things I said may seem exaggerated but it's true at least for me. This review was quite one sided and I didn't write much about its bad sides, I know, still give this one a shot. At least when you don't have other novels to read at the time.

<Sorry for the bad English, I'm not quiet used to writing while trying to convey my thoughts as they are.> <<less

This is one of my most favorite fiction stories I have ever read through Cale’s interactions with characters in almost a tsundere way, and the cutest dragon Raon I always feel like wanting more when I read the story. It’s a damn good novel if you are lacking any good stories to read

I've kept up with tr*sh since pretty much the beginning, it's enjoyable and has its up and downs. It's your 'Isekai' with the MC (Cale) being transported inside a book he read, but he didn't finish the book and only has knowledge to a certain point. He's a weakling in the story, and uses his knowledge that he read up to in the book to obtain strengths so that he can become a slacker in the future. He's overly misunderstood though, hailed as a hero by most... even his companions.... more>> Some of the main supporting cast is one dimensional, but the Author really tried to set-up a big cast and it made it hard to flesh out all the supporting characters. It's still a great read, and one of the few I keep up with daily along the TNE, Overgeared, and Yuusha.

I'd say my biggest complaints about the story are the fact there's a ton of deus ex machinas in it, even after the point in the book he read. And secondly, the fact the Author really avoids killing named villians in the novel but turns them all into prisoners to be used and added to the already tremendous supporting cast, despite a few. <<less

This is currently one of my favourite novels, I love seeing all the development each character has made from the start and just how Cale was forced into participating into every main event in the story
Spoiler

and he just eventually gave up and joins in now

Roan is just the cutest f*cker and if anything happens to him i'll riot.

I have doubts at first as I read through the synopsis, but that proved me wrong!

I usually read JP novels (yeah those isekai shits) but this is the first time a KR isekai keeps getting better and better at the plot sense! Reading every chapter really riles you up for what to come of the MC's [misunderstood] plots. Plus, I find Raon very VERY VERY very adorable!~

I hope to find more like this one <33333

The beginning is boring and slow but it gets better with more chapter.

It's a decent novel if you like MC with powerful subordinate.

I like that the MC is the center of the story, but I don't like how he say he wants a quiet life and laze around but keep intervening with everything. In fact, MC almost never laze around because he keep intervening with things with the excuse "so that he can laze around". MC's action is contrary to his character and it's annoying because it happens through the... more>> whole novel.

I'll give it 7/10. It's decent but there are part that annoys me. <<less

One of the best paced stories I have read in a long time. It focuses on a topic for just long enough to describe it and keep it interesting without making it feel too drawn out. The author knows when to time skip and when to focus on the little details in ways that most authors of the genre can never seem to figure out.

All in all, a real treat to read. I actually had to try two times to start reading because I dropped the story in the first... more>> 3 chapters the first time because of how cliche it all sounded, but I am glad I gave it a second chance. <<less

Alright let me tell y'all something

You have to stick with this novel - admittedly it's not much at the start. However once you get into the novel and get into 100+ chapters, you start seeing how amazing this novel is. Other novels don't do such a good job developing characters and showing personal relationships with each other so well - this novel excels in developing characters. How characters that were supposed to go one way changes personalities under the wealthy Cale.

Spoiler

Although he tends to rely on other people more - like the black dragon, Raon, it's just amazing how he forms connections with people and use them to his advantage

[collapse]

The author never writes something that he doesn't use in the future - In this novel everything is interconnected - People/Beasts/Others introduced at one point of the story is not forgotten.

The politics is really well written as well.

Spoiler

Once you start getting into the 150+ chapters, you start reading about the grand battles, and how even the mightiest of his people - dragon, swordmaster, they all couldn't do anything - he shows his powers - It gives me shivers no matter how many times I read it.

[collapse]

I'm in no way a good writer so I can't express the emotions I felt - just give the novel a chance - It's not like you're gonna lose your fingers from scrolling down wuixaworld anyways. <<less

Hello this is my first review.

What I like:

The world is so goood and has various races. Good story everything is connected in a good way

what I dislike :

The reaon I stopped watching this novel is not because it's bad. Actually, the novel world is one of best worlds I read about, but... the protagonist is just dependent. Literally, all he does is command others to do things plus the narrator through 81 chapter all he says is ... more>>

DRAGONS ARE THE BEST. THEY ARE UNBEATABLE

DUDE YOU JUST DESTROYED THE FUN. all I see is someone in minecraft builds his own village and used cheats. I hate the fact that the hero is so strong idk where's the fun with that <<less

The story's great and the protagonist isn't the type to save everyone he see's he's more or less just normal guy who wants to live and helps when he can. The pacing is great but not necessarily the best, but it doesn't really affect the story much.

I've returned to write a review having caught up to the latest chapter.

This novel is simply really good. It deserves a higher rating. I think the problem is that many people drop it after 50 chapters. You need to read at least to 180 imo before the plot starts to really shine.

The MC says he wants to lead a lazy life but he cannot turn a blind eye to those who suffer or let his people be wronged. That's how he obtains an OP and loyal, platonic harem. He calls... more>> himself tr*sh but everybody thinks he's a noble hero -and to be honest, he is. No matter how lazy he says he is, his actions, whether they be selfish, are not the actions of a lazy person.

Any how, the plot thickens after the MC gathers all his chess pieces aka. Other main characters of the original novel, some ancient powers, and alliances with other nations.

So yes, just treat it like a shounen manga, read up to at least ch200 and you'll get me. It's an fantasy adventure story, what did you expect? <<less

This is a LitRPG where the MC dies and then finds himself in the novel "birth of a hero" as one of the novel's generic "tr*sh noble", Cale

The story's a bit awkward at first, but not to the point that it's a pain to read

The characters are loveable

Spoiler

amongst them is a taciturn, loyal, transmigrator, cute kittens that can produce fog and poison, a tiny, adorable, baby but nevertheless a GREAT AND MIGHTY BLACK DRAGON (lol)

[collapse]

The misunderstandings that the characters have towards the "tr*sh Cale's" actions can bring a grin to your face

The story is engaging and you'll see yourself wanting more

The translations are of amazing quality

MUST READ 11/10

Don't trust the 1 star reviews

Read it till 100

this is the limit of my descriptive powers lol, im not very good with writing reviews <<less

Well if you were to review this novel, its quiet amazing as it incorparates nice character and world building elements into the story however my only fault with it is that it got stale overtime which I blame on his lack of goal on where he wants to head or achieve I get having a slacker life is a goal but for some readers especially me its not as attractive as the novels extra (not trying to say its better but just pointing it out as it is the top... more>> 2 novels currently) and I find that it may seem funny at first but overtime it just feels pointless somewhat like what do you want to actually do and him grumbling over doing something is also funny at first but gets annoying overtime but I admit it is somewhat of his personality but its just annoying you know its like you trying to say oh here I am again having to save the world or something like that.

Nonetheless I admit it is a good or even great novel in fact but it get quiet dull as time goes on like it does not give me as a reader a sense of anticipation of whats to come. <<less
