-2nd arc (celestial body) has some cute moments (especially with the villain) but latter half after Shen Jue stabbed himself, it all went "meh" and the protagonist had a cardboard cut-out personality. He's only interesting when he got possessed.

-3rd arc (vampires) starts promising and ends with a lot of questions. I still don't understand why Shen Jue deliberately wrote and left his fake diary for the protagonist to find. But I love the paradox side-story.

- 4th arc (apocalypse) is the epitome of chaos. There's too many elements going on, (zombies, mpreg and superpowers), that it seemed too much of a convenience. Not too mention, some chapters are missing in the MTL version.

-8th arc (skin painting ghost) is okay. The battle between the two ML took longer than it should. Felt like they could have cut it shorter to make space for the development between MC and ML after the ending instead.

For arc 1: Blackened Emperor

There is definitely no good person there, even the Regent who became nice in the second life. It's a matter of instance. Those asking why MC did not feel love to the regent? The answer is simple. He is determined to reach his goal. He did not transmigrate to this world just to have fun. I don't think the Regent see him in that light either. There is no romance (sxually) between them, but more like a brotherhood. I also sympathize with the Emperor and hope he can be happy but he fell in love with a scheming and goal-oriented person (MC)

For arc 2: Gentleman

At first, I thought the ML here is a good nurtured person, but meh. His brain is not. At least the Island Master (Yu Ci) was likeable, that is when he wasn't blackened completely. I'm surprised because the ending of this arc made me particularly sad and sympathize with ML more.

For arc 3: Half-blood ML

The ML here is different from the first MLs before him. He's actually a good person but blinded by his status in the previous life and even in this life. ML knows how to love and learnt to be independent. To strive to be on equal with MC. The ML here put too much effort to the MC more than the previous arc's ML. At the end, it's not really that MC has given him a chance or deceived him that he will be together with him, but it is ML's perseverance that they got to this point of destruction. In this arc, the MC did not use his hand to kill the ML, it is ML's decision. Out of all the ML, he is the most pitiful. I was actually surprised that the last chapter of this arc, explained the details of what happened in their previous lives. It seems that the time when MC took over this current life is also cycled because it is explained that the ML and second ML has been reborn to take revenge on the body of MC but after all the sufferings the MC has gone through, they were not happy because they still love the MC. When they are about to retrieve MC, the MC has already su*cided. They were late.

For arc 4: Big star

Apocalyptic arc. I actually hate it when there's a biological child involve in any transmigration novel (like this one where the MC goes from one world to another after completing the mission) because it makes me sad. The author kept surprising me because I didn't expect the flow of this arc. What a great arc! I can see the MC has been less indifferent here compared to the previous arc. Is this a character development? XD I actually do not know how this will end because I noticed that it did not follow the flow of how it should be like the previous arcs. I don't know if its just the translator the I use when I read the raws but MC's heart started to beat for ML at the latter part of the arc :O The ML here comparing to the previous MLs is less problematic. What surprised me in this arc is MC did not have the intense killing intent for the ML. ML died because he protected MC from being stabbed. From my perspective, MC was affected emotionally by ML's sudden death.

For arc 5: No. 1 Scholar

This arc is where the MC is the emperor, but there is a twist, his body is weaker than an infant. MC took the initiative to kill himself in this arc because he thinks that he failed to make the ML fall in love with him. Now he started again at the beginning. He was tired and decided not to change anything from the main storyline. He didn't care anymore if ML be together with second ML. I think the second ML fell in love with MC in the last life that was why when he su*cide, he got forcibly come back to reincarnate instead of hopping to another world. There is a twist, the second ML has his memories from last life when MC got reincarnated again. 2nd ML repented to MC but never budge. Main ML seems to be reincarnated as well with his memories from last life but had hidden it well that MC thought he was not reincarnated. He kidnapped MC and made him forget things little by little to the point he doesn't remember anything. Main ML was a gentleman in his last life, but at this time he's blackened. Lol. And YOU KNOW WHAT, the characters from arc 1 is actually mentioned here and considered a story of the Former dynasty. People were telling stories about how Murong Xiu turned against the Regent for a eunuch. ML put Gu in himself and in MC so their life is connected. Main ML wanted to die with him.

For arc 6: Nine-tailed demon fox

This arc is different from the previous arcs. This is kinda like a cultivation world pupil of a sect can contract a monster beast when they come of age. The ML is the demon fox. Furthermore, MC is actually a snow squirrel xD The author seems to be bored to explain who the realm master at the beginning unlike in the first few arcs where it is explained. Things were not progressing, ML still did not put MC in his eyes. He was still thrown. After 5 years, MC became an Azure dragon due to the thing he ate and the shark's continuous feeding of that to MC while he was unconscious. This arc is 1/3 similar to Legendary Master's Wife novel that's why I kept on reading. It's actually a bit boring to read because I think the author's writing have regressed or they were not able to keep the peak of my interest due to less scummy MLs as the chapter progresses. At the end, ML fell in love at his disguise as an Azure dragon. He deserve to be betrayed by MC. MC revealed that he's the snow squirrel while ML is slowly dying.

There's an epilogue after this arc. Ish sho cute. All ML here love the snow squirrel. So OOC xD it is short but refreshing.

For arc 7: Alpha ML

Dogblood drama going on! MC is a beta. The body of MC's fiancé is a scum. I'd cut his little junior. I am glad MC took over the body because it is just so pitiful. I'm also glad that his fiancé is not the ML, but ML here is a s*um as well. Lol. At least he did not cheat. In my opinion, the ML in this arc doesn't deserve his ending in this one. He vowed to never betray MC and will treat him well. At least, MC is not really that indifferent anymore. He let the ML solve his heart knot. Actually, he was not prepared at all when the ML died. It was not him who killed the ML but the ML's twin. He was planning it, but he was late. I am glad it is not him who killed the ML. The ending of thus arc ended in sorrow but beautiful.

Last arc :Gorgeous ML

MC here is a ghost painter where he can imitate other people faces. ML is very beautiful, a scholar. This arc is very weird but I commend the author for being able to think of this story. I don't read BL novels with ghosts or anything the like (except zombies) so this is new to me. ML killed himself but there is a plot twist, ML is actually an immortal. The life that he had in the immortal world is not even a memory of finger. MC thought that he was gonna fail, so he jumped to the river of hell. ML jumped as well, he held MC's waist and died together. Now my question is, did MC love the ML in this arc?

After this arc, there is an epilogue to it. MC forgot the ML (Immortal ML), he became a child and ML became his master (as in shifu) ML here is a ghost but he did not want to reincarnate as he only wants to be with the MC. It is 6 chapters long and will be back to the main storyline after.

How did his main body collect information from reincarnations? How did his feelings develop? How did he deal with them knowing that MC was lying for the sake of the mission? How did he deal with the knowledge that he was the r*pist and the cause of his lover's trauma?

The son is not the emperor's biological son. He is the son of the emperor's guard. So the bio son was bedded by the emperor. So when he fell in love with Shen Jue, the emperor is jealous as a lover and chose to punish Shen Jue with reincarnation. The mirror was exchange for the son's body when he slept with a snake demon. The son suffered because he like Shen Jue. The male lead in all the worlds is the soul remnant of the emperor's brother, who he locked away so he can be ruler.

I just finished an arc, the vampires arc. (3rd arc??) And then, there's like this 1 chapter. When they died, the MLs actually got reincarnated again and they noticed that both of them did reincarnate. Because they thought that the MC betrayed them in their last life (they didn't know it was also for MCs revenge on them), they actually worked together to devise a plan to get their revenge on MC!!!

Anndddd... the descriptions that MC experienced that led him to want revenge is exactly what the MLs did in their revenge plan ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

So like... it's like a paradox?

In the timeline that the MLs got together and abandoned MC, they actually didn't love each other and it was only a plan. There are actually deatails in the 'original' scenario wherein it wasn't a coincidence and the ML was actually there.

In fact, they regretted it and wanted to stop it. However, they were too late and MC died.

I don't know what happened and shiiz, em still quite confused.

Soo... If MC experienced it a thousand times... but those scenarios are (I guess? Somewhat?) the result of MCs revenge... did the MLs also experience it as much as MC did? IDK, maybe I'll know if read further.

I don't know if it's only the case for the vampires arc, or it also happened in previous arcs or all the arcs.

If so, during the times I read this prior to that revelation chapter, both sides are equally pitiful.
