It was a good read. Interesting storyline. Love the ML child. The MC doesn't only think about revenge, he always try to make use of the opportunity given. He doesn't give a Damm about other thing until and unless that person keeps troubling him. It does talk about the society impact when they came out of the closet but they didn't worry about much.

Once you read it you will become hooked.

I really enjoyed this series. It was heartwarming, and both the MC and the ML were so good to each other. One of the things I really liked was that despite being a rebirth, the MC really felt like he had matured and lived those 10 years before being reborn. So despite being 10 years younger, he still acted and thought like someone who had lived those heavy 10 years of misfortune.

There wasn't excess face slapping or dogblood, and the ML's son is ADORABLE. The MC is a bit of a calm personality, so I've seen some reviews say he's boring, but in all honestly, he's just a good egg. He's not overly dramatic, or emotional. Just a well written GOOD human being who wants to be happy.

All in all, a VERY pleasant read, I was fully invested in all the characters. A little glimpse into a smarmy entertainment circle and a good human being trying to regain his own happiness. <<less

This was a very steady read with not too much drama, but enough to satisfy one's needs from a novel.

The relationship between the leads is very steady and, in my opinion, isn't even the main theme of the book. This story is mostly about how our protagonist deals with his professional life after he is reborn.

Sometimes you're just in the mood for some face-slapping fluff and this really hits the spot.

After being betrayed and inadvertently killed by his lover in his previous life, MC rebirths and willingly contracts himself to the one who secretly helped him in his previous life. However, MC's goal is not revenge, but to simply live a good life. Nonetheless, ML cannot bear to see him wronged and takes revenge for him.

5++ LOVED THIS. It's the best Chinese BL novel I've read: nuanced, electric, with emotional depth, funny, sweet, and moving. I just finished it and I'm filled with sweetness and just finished wiping my eyes.

The MC and ML relationship is so wonderful - full of doting, respect, and understanding. Both of them are admirable characters. There are many nice side characters too - most notably a certain family member ;)

The face slapping and entertainment elements are more realistic and nuanced too.

The vibe of the novel is more new adult... more>> and I appreciated that - don't worry after the heavier, bittersweet beginning, there's tons of sweetness and also some electric passion (poetic rather than graphic) afterwards.

Although it calls itself 'melodramatic' and the premise undoubtedly is, I thought both Bai Lang and Qiu Qian were refreshingly pragmatic and sensible. I loved how Bai Lang used his foreknowledge to try and advance his career, and to do things like make smart investments - but also using the chance of a do-over to make new friendships and relationships, and to break off ones that were toxic.

Paired with Qiu Qian, who's just fantastic at getting things done and quashing his enemies (including a long, extended battle with a powerful... more>> former lover who tries to get Bai Lang out of the way), they're just a super competent couple and I'm into it.

It's also a really fun, smart look at the entertainment world and the strings being pulled all the time - not just about being cast in the right shows, but also knowing the right people, influencing at the right time, releasing scandalous news but also suppressing it, playing out power struggles through brand endorsements and social media postings.

There's also super cute family stuff with Qiu Qian's son who adores Bai Lang. It's! So! Cute! <<less

Nice story, good pacing. A rebirth story that doesn't focus on face slapping revenge. MC was very "stay gracious, best revenge is your paper" aka he focused on his own success whether in his career or relationships and didn't try to cause too much problems for his enemies. It was ML who was more for revenge though MC definitely reigned him in. The kid, Xiao hai was adorable, the family moments were sweet & hilarious.

This story is utterly wholesome. 10/10 would recommend. I adored the lead and the side characters and sneered at the villains. There was enough face-slapping within reasonable boundaries. Like... no one got mu*dered.

While I questioned Qiu Qian's (the ML) fashion style, I absolutely loved his personality. He may be a bit overbearing sometimes, but not excessively so as his overbearingness often stems from his desire to protect the ones he loves. If we were to look at who has the final say between them, it's Bai Lang and within the family it would be Bai Lang, too, except for when Xiaohai (ML's son) is stubborn.

As for our MC, Bai Lang's level-headedness makes him such a likeable character. He isn't ruthless nor is he completely softhearted either which is the perfect balance in my eyes.

The romance and emotional development between the characters was also quite believable. There was no from 0 to 100 love at first sight but a gradual progress which is satisfying in itself because I don't see this often in webnovels.

No loose ends (or perhaps there is one, but he's insignificant enough for me to care what happened to him). Not really a revenge story - more like "since I was given another chance, I'll live my life more happily and freely, in a way that I won't leave regrets while staying true to my beliefs" kind of story.

Because of this repeated viewpoint, I didn't enjoy it much, but it's an okay read.

Very sweet and satisfying. While it does dip somewhat into tropes, the characters are all relatively fleshed out to a reasonable degree, making their journey a joy to read. Would recommend if you're into stories more focused around valuing a chance to start over rather than the more revenge fueled entries in the genre. The bad people get their just desserts, but it's not focused on nearly as much as other novels.

I have read this novel four and five times already. So you can think that this is a good novel.

The characters were reasonable and relatable. There are some dramas that make the story more exciting (don't get me wrong, drama/conflict is necessary in a story. I don't know why some of the reviews are so critical but for me, this story is one of those that you read again and again.

The MC is not overpowered or overly Mary Sue but he does have the protagonist halo.
