Interestingly enough, the initial concept is pretty good but the execution still has its flaws. There are several traits of MC that are less consistent, he is very firm about his choice between going back to his original world or staying in his current world, but not firm in getting rid of annoying people around him. Well, but I like Er Shun (system). It's so sweet.

This is a romance story but in my opinion their romantic interactions are still quite lacking. Not to mention it's slowburn, so there's very little... more>> romance. And the tension at the end is actually a bit too forced. Presumably the goal is just to get rid of the system. <<less

Also the writing and translation is great. It's not too fast nor too slow!

Someone else watching them, thinking: bc the Person A was thinking of how that family would do this and saw that if they do it like that then they will look as if they didn't know and make them seem like blah blah = why person A are a banana slowly aka "wow person A is a GENIUS " *rubs metaphorical goatee*

Above is just a conceptual *example* of what happens = The mental gymnastics everyone and their mother is doing the entire novel.... Just saying.... more>> It's a bit much.

Personally not for me. And it's not because this book isn't basic because it is. Btw. It's not as mature as ppl say it is. It's just another arbitrary transmigration novel with a system -based plot that drives the book because the writer doesn't know how to naturally write tension scenes without using a system crutch to force plot. You can like it and that's fine, but it's not like this book is so good that people who don't like it aren't completely justified and reasonable... it's a basic book and it's ok. If that's your taste, you'll like it.

P.s. I actually reread this like 3 times I swear on accident lol. The translator is amazing tho. <<less

Kind of slow but cute story. Strong protagonists and very fluffy once they get together. I thought the ending was somewhat rushed since he just out of nowhere decided to stay but then again what else could he have done.

I enjoyed it. Especially liked the 1/2 extras. Great story but slow and well translated. Enjoyable read

I started this thinking it was gonna be 80 chapters but then I got to the 50th chapters and there was no romance, I mean, no feelings involved yet. so I looked at number of chaps and realized it was 150+ so I wa reassured that I would get the romance that o wanted in the end....... it's really sad to say this but I didn't get what I really wanted. maybe they're just not my type of couple. I like them individually. I think Song Xuanhe changed too much though, from his primary personality when starting the novel, he lost his cuteness? iguess, he was too serious an really just like another Xiao Yuanmu, I don't really know why the author made it like that cause, he can be a bit cute and also a bit perceptive you know, but he just started becoming indifferent. There were also foreshadowing or just mentions of SXH's past and I thought there would be some explanation about that, but there actually wasn't (i haven't read the extras yet). Like about his best friend, I mean, he doesn't really have much effect on the story, idk what his character relevance is. XYM was also a good ML, I mean this in terms of his personality, he is not totally a cold, unfeeling one, and I can feel his emotions. BUT, it just doesn't work for me when he interacts with SXH, they feel too restrained? he is also always, always, always busy. The ending was unsatisfying for me, I mean, , what was that. It was good that they became honest in the end, I even like it when MCs tell they transmigrated, but I didn't feel that much thrill in this. I have to say, I am quite disappointed as I have read this for like a week cause I only have little free time. The sides were alright, I like how they see XYM difference when with SXH, but that's about it.

The title is totally misleading, the summary is not really shown? system didn't even have much scenes. This is literally a business kind of book, some face slapping but honestly those face slapping were not that satisfying cause they kept on coming back for more 💀, I was getting tired of all the irrelevant characters which the MC and ML can literally just squish out of existence.

Reread is definitely a no. This is not my type of novel, I just read this with a straight face, forcing myself to cry on some sad parts but not really sad enough to make my heart hurt, and also not funny enough (if it even was). The review is kind of bad BUT IF YOU LIKE THIS TYPE OF NOVEL, TRY IT. <<less

It's a good story overall. I quite enjoyed the main character, who is especially clever, good at concealing his feelings, and good at acting innocent.

However, I wasn't super impressed with the villains -- nearly all of them were extremely brainless, repetitive, and just boringly toxic to read. The author gets some slight kudos for writing the girl (who was in love with the MC)

Overall the relationship between the MC and ML were well-done, especially the ending. But I can't help but wonder if the author could have made the pacing just slightly better. I would say the ending was the highlight of the novel, whereas the first half tended to drag a lot more than necessary.

Also, while a lot of side characters got introduced, the story lacked a feeling of interconnectedness with the bigger picture as many of the plots would be mentioned but then dropped halfway.

For example, we never really get a clear idea of the MC's background, upbringing, etc. And even the system had found his "danger value" a mystery, from his fighting skills, and off-color mentions of the MC's past traumas or aunt/uncle/ etc.

If the translator's notes are any indication, this is a good novel to read if you like to go "ahhhh my baby" at good-looking rich boys. However, it's extra hard for me to like characters when the narration tries to dress them up as cool and intelligent adults but in reality they are selfish, cruel, swollen-headed idiots. I've read webnovels where the translators write paragraphs screaming defensively for prospective readers to not expect logic or realism from the plot, and even those novels have more merit than this one.

I made... more>> it to Chapter 109 but dropped it out of weariness. After all, the reviews say that things get even more preposterous after that point. I only regret that I cared to search out the low-starred ones at this point, because the author wants to wring sugar out of content made from literal earwax. Eat that stuff if there is nothing else; I can afford better, I'm outta here.

I reread this multiple times before the translation was done because I liked it so much at first. But later on as the story progressed, it became increasingly clear that the author didn't really know how to tie things up properly.

There are a lot of questionable things and unhealthy interactions, and a truly lackluster ending. Other readers have pointed them out but for those who really want to read this, I say keep going until the end. The extra about the system was very nice and made me tear up... more>> a bit. <<less

Never felt confused this much before, honestly, if you were to ask me to try to recite the last chapter that I read 5 minutes ago I would be unable to. I like the concept but the execution was terrible... or more like the author, themself didn’t even know what they were doing...

Every time I read a new chapter I always felt like I missed a couple of chapters or two, and I would always go back to try to catch up but feel very disappointed when I didn’t... more>> miss a chapter. I really did love the chapter in the beginning but I felt that the MC starting to have feelings for the ML was just so sudden to me and felt random. Also the MC's background? While the author did mention his backstory or whatever, for the death of me that sh*t was so unclear, I felt like they just added it to be angst and never mentioned it again. I’m pretty sure the author doesn’t even know their own character...

The ML is so tasteless, bland, and boring that I’d rather watch clouds than hear his description over and over. Yes we get it he looks like a freaking geek goddess, but has no personality and is just a doll, he literally only exists to be looked at... he’s so talented yet does nothing and follow the MC like a dog.

I feel like the MC forgot his life in his original world or something.. didn’t he finish all his sence, yet the system never sends him back... at this point just let the MC DIE!! <<less

  1. 4 stars, it would've been a 3 if the system didn't do what it did in the end. I was very happy getting into it. It was fascinating watching them both like chess players with their own secrets trying to guess each others intentions.

    MC knows what he wants to do in each situations and he calculates emotions very well. He's like an Oscar winning actor performing he's role to the fullest.

    Some of these scenes MC have to perform were really heartwrenching to cause harm to the ML. But there always a way around I am glad. ML is always intelligent and he break through MCs facade.

    These -2 stars originally stem from the 3rd half of the novel. There's 8 giant finance corporation in this world. But we really don't get into it alot. The book scenes didn't even go through them alot. Also the Xiao family mess was non existent even though it should be a major turning point. Instead the 3rd half consist of MC mucking about, trying to hurt himself, self reflecting over small things

    instead we could get more plot developments out of it.

    MC is also powerless in the last 3rd of the book. Damn the system is the most useless thing ever until the last moment where it rescue a star for this novel to make it 4 stars instead for it did.

    Also 7 boyfriends my *** probably the biggest lie in the intro. Lol they don't even hold any importance in the novel. Only like the 2 became MCs friends

    I honestly like 2/3 of the novel. The last 1/3 needed better writing, also the lack of meat is annoying heh.

Ok so the novel is really good. It's is a sweet slow-burn romance. I wasn't sure at first but it's really is good if you can persevere through your doubts in the first few chapters. Beware and the last few chapters are real tearjerkers.

The translation is very good and grammatical sound. So yeah, give it shot its really a good read.

chapters for the MC to straighten his feelings for the ML. What I like about this ML is that he's very gentle to the MC. I've actually felt angry toward the MC quite a few times because his indecisiveness hurt the ML too much. I was expecting a typical overbearing CEO ML but this one turned out to be a gem. The MC and ML'S characters have depth and even some side characters have great depth. My only complaint would be that some of the plot points were not completed or abandoned by the author, thus creating some loopholes in the story. The ending was a bit unexpected too. I couldn't find a free version of the 3 extra chapters. So I don't know if some of these loopholes have been addressed or not. Overall, it was a good experience.

Tl;dr: SLOW BURNER with a good ML and slightly frustrating and complicated but interesting MC. Some great fluff too. 👌 <<less

I really love this novel.

It's sad that the translated version isn't completed yet ಥ╭╮ಥ and the mtl one is really hard to understand so I have to patiently wait for the updates of the translated one.

I don't really know what I love about this novel but I just can't stop myself from reading this novel hoho.

Damn, ML harassment sure feels good!

ops, no, I mean it's not physical harassment or le*d, but MC deliberately tortured ML's heart. Different from most transmigration novels, MC does not easily fall in love with ML, he actually avoids and he afraid that ML will fall in love with him because of the system's mission to harass ML. sometimes I feel sorry for ML, but ugh... this feels... good, really, somehow I'm getting happier.

ML is also different from most novels, now even though he is OP, handsome, rich (for the future)... more>> and has a possessive nature for MC, he is not the sticky and annoying type like most ML in general. ML is actually trying to hide his feelings for the MC, afraid that if the MC knows he will insult him. the point is they hide their feelings for each other, what a fun story. This novel highly recommends this novel for a story that focuses on romantic dynamics and a plot without the silly, dirty le*d elements! <<less

I think I've edited this review like ten times already. I'm just very conflicted on what to say. This novel was enjoyable to me, mostly because the romance was up to my taste, but I feel the execution faltered a bit in the end and could've been carried out a bit better. This novel has a lot of flaws (granted, you can in ignore them—for example, I didn't mind the characters of the MC and ML that much), and most of them have been accurately hit by other reviewers. Though... more>> I did love the fact that it's not instant love at first sight, (rather it's a battle of wits and tension that prevail throughout a good half the story), and the small details to mundane scenes that helped simulate reality, the author adding this whole load of unnecessary drama near the end got me a bit annoyed and turned off.

I don't think the characters nor plot were perfect either, but I can't deny this novel wasn't good (it's 3.75 stars for me, rounded up to a four). It has some deep elements and unique qualities that other transmigration novels don't have, so I recommend you at least try it. <<less
